2.9750 ml Bottle shared by Eric S., thanks buddy! Color is a hazy gold with some spotty head retention. This brew started off with some promise. The coffee bean aroma is rich and intoxicating. Light traces of grassy hops.
The body is medium with a yeast element. Coffee and hops.... Um, doesn’t really mesh well together... Good coffee bean flavor but bitterness from hops throws it off. Tastes almost like the coffee bean turned bitter and sour. Although it most certainly hasn’t. Sorry this just doesn’t work at all for me and I love coffee brews, no thanks.
3.4Hazy copper-amber, large long lasting off-white head, good lacing. Aroma is of hops, herbal, tea, some roast, caramel. Flavour has the coffee coming through, herbal and some spice, hoppy. Herbal mouthfeel, medium body, moderate carbonation.
Finishes long with coffee and hops.
Weird stuff, not much coffee in the aroma but a fair amount in the flavour. Alright.
3.9Nice copper pout with a cream colored head. Nose of smooth coffee and citrus hops. Good balance n the flavor between malt sweetness, hop bitterness and very mellow coffee influence.
3.5Bottle shared at the RBESG 2014, grand tasting 09/08/2014. Hazed orange / cara,e; coloured pour with a small halo white head. Aroma is coffee beans, veg pepper, mineral, maybe some spicy piney hop but it is pretty faint. Flavour is smooth caramel, coffee bean, piney hop. Palate is medium carbonation, quite sweet malty backbone. OK.
3.7A very interesting beer, haven't had anything like it before. Pours a bright cloudy orange with a thick tan head. Smells of coffee and hops. Taste is very creamy, with the hops and coffee balancing well together. Bitter finish, but more coffee bitter then California IPA bitter. Weird and good. Had on tap at the Trappist.
3.8"murky amber orange pour, off white head. colder, the aroma is more sweet malts and hops and very little coffee. First sip is bitter up frint, especially grapefruit. Ample malts, and a long lasting bittersweet coffee finish that would end up being my favorite thing about this beer. More balanced aroma as it warms, though i started cool (not cold). REALLY cool when the coffee and hops come out in equal measure. It doesn’t hurt that this would be a decent IPA apart from the coffee either. The only bad part? A bit steep..."

Served on tap in a chalice glass
Appearance – The beer is served a bronze-reddish color with a two finger thick rocky white head. The head has a decent level of retention fading over a moderate level of time to leave a decent level of lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The coffee in the aroma wasn’t as strong as I would have expected. The aroma overall was heaviest of citrus grapefruit hop as well as some herbal and piney smelling hops. Along with these smells are aromas of some breadiness as well as a little bit of caramel and some tangerine adding just a touch of sweetness to the smell overall.
Taste – Just as with the nose, the taste is very weak in coffee especially upfront. The main flavors, initially to greet the tongue, are of a IPA nature with flavors of a bready and lightly caramel and tangerine sweet taste mixed with a whole lot of grapefruit hop. As the taste advances, pine hop flavors come to the tongue with the sweeter flavors losing a little bit of ground. At the end, a light coffee flavor dose come to the tongue adding a different bitter dimension to the taste. The coffee combines with the other IPA flavors and a newly arrived herbal hop flavor to leave a rather mixed flavor IPA taste on the tongue.
Mouthfeel –The body of the beer is on the medium side in thickness and creaminess with a carbonation level that is on the average side as well. Rather fitting for the IPA style, but nothing too exceptional.
Overall – A rather easy drinking and tasty IPA overall, but really lacking in the coffee I was hoping it would deliver. Nice, but not really worth the price you will likely pay.
3.4Keg at Brewdog. Hazy, cloudy pale brown, small white head. Aroma is light coffee, mixed wet leaves, demarara sugar. Body is medium with middling carbonation for keg, not foamy. Taste is light coffee, floral , tangy pith, smooth finish. Not that bitter. OK, but a touch weird!
3.1How: Bottle.
Where: RBESG 14 Grand Tasting.
Appearance: Hazy light brown colour with a small off-white head.
Aroma: Spices, coffee, fruit, hops.
Body: Medium body and carbonation.
Flavour: Coffee, spices, fruit, grapefruit, some hops.
3.7On tap at Kaapse Brouwers, Rotterdam. Hazy to murky orange with a small off-white head. The aroma is malty, caramel, toasty, lots of citrus hop notes (grapefruit and orange). Some coffee hidden in the aroma. The flavour is sweet bready, toasty caramel malt, sweet citrus and the coffee which is light and pleasant. A very textured beer. The coffee flavour is minimal but does linger, with a dry roasted bitterness. Expected more coffee but still enjoy this.
2.1Keg @ Birmingham Beer Bash. Hope this is the right one, had it written down as something else. Horrible rotten vegetal taste. Not sure what went wrong here but definitely did not taste right. And couldn’t get much coffee.
4.1Keg at Birmingham Beer Bash 2014. Caramel coloured, spritzy dans le tongued. The coffee does not dominate, but does add a layer of cakey pleasing to a balanced IPA, with a ground sheet of dry hops. Well balanced.
3.8Tap at Mikkeller&Friends. Amber with an off-white head. aroma of fresh coffee with hops, caramel, malt and hints of fruit. Different and interesting
4.0Bottle, 75cL. Home. A dark brown beer with mahogany hues. Large off-white head, good persistence. Good lacing. Roasty aroma, coffee, blackcurrant, blackberry, herbs. First medium sweet, then medium dry bitter ; bittersweet waves. Medium body, silky texture, average carbonation, dry bitter finish, a bit warming. Overall, good coffee aroma. Balanced. Delicious :)
3.9Bottle at home. Pours hazy amber, aroma of coffee and berries, taste is sweet, fruity, dry roasted coffee.
4.5Bottle, 330 ml from Za Popent, Ljubljana. Pours hazy orange with medium white head. Nice citrus hoppy aroma. Fruit hoppy flavor with pleasant bitterness and coffee finish which came as great surprise. Complex and very interesting brew.

Clear orange body with tall loosely composed bone white head which settled to a persistent 1/8", good amount of tightly patterned delicate lacing – citrus and stone fruits tango with subtle and very complimentary sweet coffee and malt notes on a medium light body, fairly coating, dry finish
4.1there’s a lot of carbonation, a bright almost coppery color. almost looks like an iced tea. I don’t get much coffee in the aroma, just some roastiness. A little sweet, malt. Taste is lighter than expected as well, though it’s hard to totally know what to expect from a coffee ipa. Hoppy, bitter a little roasty sweetness.
4.0Origina cerveza que conbina una buena Ipa con un toque a café. Interesante.
3.9Pours out muddy light brown with plenty of thick off white head. Smell starts with delicate hop flowers followed by all dark roast coffee and hints of pepper. Taste is remnant of cold brewed espresso.
1.2Best before date is 18/12/14. Colour is dark amber. Aroma has lot of stale coffee in it. Some artificial coffee notes in it as well. Flavour is bitterish, acidy and has elements of cold coffee. Palate is off, high carbonation. This beer has complitely missed the good elements of coffee and managed to capture all the worst elements in it. It’s neither IPA nor coffee flavored drink.
3.5Pour is a hazy and musty burnt orange. A weird but appealing aroma where the coffee and hops mix. Taste is hoppy, malty and the after taste had a coffee flavor that really lingers. Interesting and good.
3.5Pours a dark mahogany maple color with a loose java head. Nose is coffee and hops. Taste is hoppy with a coffee flavor and pine and resin notes. Not your typical IPA. Finish is bitter, with a moderate coffee resinous lingering.
Quaff Score 7 / 10
3.7Pours a dark golden orange with a beige head and aroma of hops and light coffee. Taste is slight bitter with hops, grapefruit, light coffee, malt, and caramel with a dry. bitter finish. Interesting and nice IPA
3.7Backlog. Stale coffee, some dried fruits, citrus and grass with a hint of sweetness.
3.4On tap at Ei8ht Ball. Pours a hazy orange with a thin white head. Aroma of sweet fruits, pale malts, and coffee grounds. Flavor of sweet malt, coffee grounds, roasted malt, sweet fruits. As a previous rater noted, this is pretty malty for an IPA and does taste slightly old. I think it might be better if more of the IPA hops came out. Mostly it is just sweet malt and coffee grounds which just don’t quite mesh so well. Interesting beer, I’m not sure if a fresh sample would taste better, but as it is it fell a little short.

3.8On tap at Ei8ht Ball. No way to tell really what version of coffee this keg uses, so I guess I’ll just rate the entry that’s not retired and has more rates. Somewhat hazy amber color. Little ring of off-white head. A bit or two of lace. Medium to bigger body. Smooth, soft, lighter carbonation. More dry finish. Good, full mouthfeel. Caramel malt, some nice toasty malt aroma. A bit maltier for an IPA (likely that this is not an ultra-fresh keg, naturally) but it works very well with the coffee in this instance. Awesome big complex coffee aroma, kind of earthy. Not too bitter, strong, overly roasted or harsh, just very pleasant overall; works well with the light malty sweetness. Impressive stuff. I wasn’t expecting it to work as well as it does. The bigger malt factor does the coffee a favor, here. I sure am a coffee fan, aren’t I?
4.0Some coffee and hop aroma
Hazy light brown with a merangue head
Perfectly balanced coffee and malt
