3.4 Bottle at WTF 3. Pours a dark brown with small beige head that lasts. The aroma is roast, milk chocolate, citrus. Medium body, roast, cocoa, orange zest, light bitter finish, good.
3.6 bottle. deep brown with one finger head. roasty malt body with moderate orange. tasty, but it’s not much beyond an orange porter.
3.6 Bottle 330ml. Black colour with brown head, good lacing. Coffee and chocolate with oranges in aroma. Coffee, a bit roasty in taste with small note of sour at the finish. Beer is definitely dry, quite light, drinkable with medium body. Good sample of porter.
3.8 Bottle @ and shared with benzai... Medium sized light brown head... Black all the way.. Smell citrus hops sweetness.. Taste hops bitter citrus fruityness maltness..
3.7 Bottle @ home shared by Thompson. Opaque pitch black color, medium sized beige to light brown head. Aroma is indeed a mix of dark malt, oranges and citrus. Flavor has it too! Malts, dark malts, oranges, light fruitpeel, I guess there must be yuzu in there and the finish is pretty bitter, dark malt bitter and fruitpeel bitter. Interesting!
3.8 Draught Aroma-orange, caramel, coffee Appearance-black, hazy, tan foam, Taste-medium sourness, medium bitterness, light sweetness, Palate-medium body, creamy, average carbonation, long finish, Overall-very good
4.0 Pitch black with pretty big beige head which adds nice lacing to the glass. Aroma is mix of pretty strong orange, grapefruit notes with chocolate, coffee, roasty bits- overall impression reminds kind of black ipa vibe (citrusy hops with coffee/chocolate/roastiness). In taste big on orange, lemon, grapefruit with some chocolate, coffee and roasty undertones. It ends with ashy, zesty bite on the tongue. Medicore bitterness and medium carbonation. Nice, fresh, easy. I like it.
3.7 Draught. Drunk long time ago. Very good porter with nice chocolate, light coffee, touch of oranges and zest. Tasty and quite drinkable.
3.5 Bottled. Deep brownish black colour with a mediumsized off-white beigeish brown head. Aroma is a bunch of zesty/citrusy notes, with some roasted malts, chocolate as well as mild ashes to it. Flavour is chocolate, some roasted malts, a bunch of citrusy/zesty notes as well as some slight ashy notes.
3.8 I’m not a real big porter fan, but this one surprised with it’s fresh taste and liquorice scent.
3.8 (Mikkeller Orange Yuzu Glad I Said Porter) Bottle 330 ml at home, served into a shaker, ABV 6% Totally black colour on the body, big and ever rising dark beige head, thick, with very good retention. Aroma of roasted malts, olive pit, oats, liquorice. Taste follows, roasted malts, liquorice, oats, milky chocolate, light coal on the finish, I don’t get much of the added orange. Medium thick body, soft carbonation. Very good but I’d like the orange to be less muted.
4.1 Pours black with a tan head. Aroma malty chocolate, roasty, fresh orange. Taste is sourish fresh orange, chocolate, roasty. Bitter orangey acidic citric finish.
3.8 Pitch black colored, medium dark tan creamy not very lasting head. Aroma is of strong dark chocolate and coffee, some orange and orange peel, floral hops. Taste is medium sweet malt, dark chocolate, roasted coffee, orange, tangerine, floral notes, medium roasty bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, creamy. (bottle, Vrutak, Zagreb)
4.0 Mikkeller Orange Yuzu Glad I Said Porter - uzupełnienie piw pitych przed używaniem ratebeer.
3.9 33cl bottle. Dark color. Medium brown head. Light sweetness, medium bitterness. Medium body, dry finish. Aroma is chocolate, orange, coffee, citrus.
3.9 Bottle from Bdog, Shef. Dark almost black. Aroma is sharp a citrisy. taste is zingy and bitter. roasty and delicous. tingy and oily. good.
3.5 Good beer but to bitter for a porter. Mikkeller is Allways good. Same with this beer. Good smell, good taste and Nice look.
3.7 backlog. draft. Dark with a an off colour brown head. Loads of yuzu in the aroma, slight hint of dark chocolates. Slightly bitter finish with loads of zest notes. On the verge of being too much, but only just. Nice though
4.4 Bottle into a pint glass. Pours black, with a moderate tan head that lasts, leaving good lacing. Nose is orange and dark roast malt. Taste follows, with a dry finish that has a touch of citrus and hop bitterness. Very nice porter.
3.6 Bottle from Beers’n’more. Orange: Check. Porter: Check. Yuzu? Well, never heard of it. I can find tangerine, lemon, orange, grapefruit. Very refreshing, with that bitterness of a grapefruit on the tongue. Refreshing and light while still showing off the porter roast. Good.
3.6 Bottle. Almost black color with cream-colored foam. Aroma: orange peel, roasted, caramel, slightly smoked. Taste: caramel, coffee and orange peel, mild hop bitterness. Original.
3.5 Deep brown, opaque. Moderate head. Nose of earth, roast, orange. Light to medium body. Dry roasty taste. Strange -- rated with beerbasher/winphone
3.8 330ml bottle from Brewdog shop. Small tan head, good lacing, dark black body. Nose is orange, coffee, chocolate, smoke. Flavour is orange zest, charcoal, coffee, chocolate. Aftertaste of bitter orange. Medium carbonation, mouthfeel is full and a little rough. Great porter base, malty and smoky, the yuzu adds complex notes with huge citrus overtones. Really unusual beer but it works so well.
3.9 8%ABV. Porter. Tapped out black. 40ºSRM. Nose had some spicy aromatic notes reminiscent of curry powder or powdered chili. Mouthfeel was soapy. Palate had porter flavors of deep roasted malt, black bread and Swedish rye bread. Spicy oily yuzu and citrus peel flavors are layered over this malty base quite aggressively. Overall a very complex, thoughtfully put together ale, so one where it’s going to rate highly but not make the list for me. Thanks for the ride though, Mikkeller.
4.1 33ml bottle. Appearance: A dark brown body with dark tan fast disappearing head.Aroma: Yuzu (spicy orange, lemon) ith some roasted malts and some licorice and a hint of pine in the back. Taste: Dark roasted malts, licorice, cacao with a spicey sour yuzu counterpart. which really shows up in the finish Very nicely done. Bitterness is a mix of fruity and dark and moderate. Aftertaste is roasted malts bitterness with some fruity sweetness. below average body, modrate carbonatio. oily texture Nice one.
3.7 Beautiful dark body, nice head. Aromas of chocolate and coffee with some nice citrus. Smooth, sweet, roasty, and slightly bitter.
4.2 Pours an opaque dark brown with brown, finely-bubbled head. A: Musty orange, pineapple, stale chocolate, vague hints of plum or fig, dark cherry, and dank bakery. Each taste goes through an evolution. Bright citrus fades to semi-bitter dark chocolate eventually ending with some kind of wormwood or earthen bitterness. Above average carbonation helps elevate the drinkability in an otherwise rich and complex porter.
