4.4 High formation and high density foam. Honey cloudy liquid. Fruity aroma, little bit toffee, remembering, by far, an IPA. On mouth, malted, toffee and a little bit sour. The end of the sip is dry and with a bitterness came from toasted notes. The aftertaste in more bitter but well balanced. Not a cheap beer but it worths the experience.
3.6 (Draught at Man In the Moon, Stockholm, 11 Dec 2017) Reddish amber colour, hazy, with frothy beige head. Malty, hoppy nose with orange peel, resin and crisp-bread. Fruity, hoppy taste with notes of orange peel, mandarin, crisp-bread and a generous citric bitterness in the finish. Almost full body, with a certain sweetness. There's lots of citric hops here, possibly a bit unbalanced, but really tasty. Nice one.
3.5 #1926 Tap. Lightly hazy, orange, medium white head. Aroma of litchi, candies, tangerines, peels, dry orange peel, licorice. Taste is moderately sweet, slightly bitter, tart. Rowanberries, resiny, tangerines, candies, resiny, sharp hoppy tones, alcohol. Medium to fuller body, moderately carbonated. Not really my style, but well crafted.
3.6 Draught at BeerGeek Bar. Almost clear, amber colored. AROMA- bon-pari, fruity, alcohol, touch of licorice, dried orange peel. FLAVOR- slightly sweet, bitter, very hoppy, very fruity, red plums, orange. Fuller bodied. A bit overhopped for me, but good.
3.4 Tall can at Alex's. BB 2018-05-09. Pours a murky golden with tan head. Aroma is sweet with some spices and malty notes. Taste is moderately sweet and hoppy bitter. Ok.
3.3 500mL bottle, pours an opaque cloudy amber with a small off-white head. Aroma is loaded with coriander, with light citrus, floral hops, and toasted biscuity malt. Flavour is along the same lines, with coriander, light citrus peel, and bitter floral hops. Strange combo of floral hops and coriander, with a citrusy finish. Very spicy on the finish. Pleasant stuff.
3.2 Cloudy, with a thin head. Dullish red. Some phenols on the nose, with a bit of coriander. Bitter hops on the palate, some light florals, bit yeasty. Coriander? Sure, but there's a lot of citrusy American hops on there.
3.6 Pours toffee brown with medium beige'ish head. Aroma is spicy, flour, malts, some fruits, citrus, sharp, orange. Taste is dry, bitter, flour, coriander, citrus, orange, fruits, spices, green pepper, some yeast, light metal. Nice beer!
3.7 2018/01/22 - Pours a hazy burnt orange amber colour with a thick, foamy off white head that slowly reduces and leaves ample lacing. Aroma is toasted malt, caramel, grassy hops, pine, spices (coriander, cinnamon), cherries and figs. Taste more caramel and toasted malt, pine, cherry, dates and spices. Mouthfeel is medium with sharp carbonation and a dry, spiced, moderately bitter finish. I very much enjoyed this. Interesting beer.
3.5 Bottle a golden yellow colored beer with a white head aroma wheat red fruits caramel and hops flavor malts red fruits caramel yeast and hops
3.2 500ml can, best before May 9th 2018. It pours a lightly hazed copper, oodles of foam and lacing. Smells fruity, spicy, hoppy. Pears with other sweet fruit. Coriander hints of clove, malty sweet to go with the fruit, very mild bitterness from pine or grass. The taste is more hoppy. Grass and pine with a little bit of tartness to go with the mild bitterness. Coriander, other spices, honey like and fruity sweetness in the background. Medium body with the carbonation on the lighter side. Smells better than it tastes. More balanced there.
3.9 Can 0.5L: Lidt mørk gyldenbrun farve, uklar men på ingen måde grumset. Fint beige/hvidt skum, som forsvinder til et tynd jævnt lag. Let bitter aroma. Umiddelbart frisk smag, som skifter over i bitter/appelsin/jul, og vedvarede bitter eftersmag. En af de absolut bedre juleøl.
3.8 Bottle. Amber colour with stable head off. Aroma of orange peel, caramel. Taste of caramel, citrus fruits, malty. Huge bitter finish
3.7 Rødbrunt med fint skum. Mye humle i duften, spesielt sitrus. Mye sitrus også i smaken, heller litt mot marmelade. Et lite hint av kirsebær både i smak og duft. Fin bitterhet
3.7 On tap at Svijet piva (World of Beer), Maksimirska, Zagreb. Shared with Zvonko! Murky amber, small creamy off-white head. Very spicy, zest, cherry aromas, some alcohol. Dry and spicy, some hops in flavour. Strong, medium body, quite drinkable for an 8%. Interesting and inovative.
3.8 Keg at the Star and Garter, Bromley. Chestnut coloured pour with a white head. Nose of toffee, figs, candied peel, caramel, fruitcake. Flavours of caramel, lots of toffee, dates, sweet spice. Very Christmassy indeed.
3.7 Amber beer with lots of white-beige head. Aroma is slight lingonberry, slight cinnamon, slight coriander. Taste is black pepper, malt, some berries, coriander, hops. Aftertaste is hops and orange peel. Medium sweet, medium bitterness. Low carbonation, medium body. Pretty good spicy beer, easily drinkable. Like some Red IPA. Didn't feel wheat.
3.6 Bottle from 100 piv. Vona citrusova. Farba polotmava kalna. Chut plna alkoholova na konci horka.
4.1 hazy dark orange to amber colour, huge, dense off-white head; aroma of aroma of caramel and sweet fruity notes, orange peel oils, marmalade, some pine resins and citruses; taste has the same notes with sweet biscuity notes and spicy aftertaste; good one, though I can't identify any witbier notes, it is rather a red IPA
3.8 0.33l bottle. Hazy dark orange body with a thick off white head. Pretty much like a Red IPA. I don't get much from the coriander. Apricot jam comes to my mind first from the aroma, but it also has some caramel-like sweetness and some piny, spicy hops. A bit phenoloc too. Taste of orange zest, caramel, toast and spicy, grassy hops. Some remain from the initial sweetness in the finish with a spicy hop bitterness. Nice beer.
4.0 Cáscara de naranja, malta, algo de frutos secos. Compleja. Entra dulce, aparece levadura belga y termina seca. Muy navideña. BOTELLA. BB 04/09/2020
3.8 33 cl, bottle conditioned, BB 04/09/20. Hazy, golden amber, thin off-white head, nice lacing, no carbonation, powdery sediments. To the nose I pick up cherrries, yeast esters and a touch of alcohol. Mouthfeel is resiny with a pleasant, not too dominant, alcohol burn at the back. This beer is full of flavours -- malts, hops, cherries, pine, spice and caramel.
4.1 330ml bottle. Cloudy reddy amber with a large and very thick pillowy beige head. Aroma of orange peel, mandarins, piney, coriander, malts. Taste is sweet, tropical, orange peel, pine, coriander, malts, finishes with quite a hoppy bitterness. Medium body, average carbonation.
3.5 Has a good IPA nose mixed with juicy mandarine oranges. Modest head and slight orange body tinged with brown. Flavour is smooth orange mixed with a malty IPA, they go well together in fact. The crispness of the IPA is lost, sadly so, it's not marking highly here. However, this is a good mix with promise.
4.2 Tap @BrewDog Bristol. Medium white head, orange/golden colour, hazy, nice lacing. Aroma: herbs, sambucus, grass. Sour taste, full body, long finish, average carbonation. Not sure if it’s the best style for X-mas, but it’s a solid witbier, worth trying.
3.5 v sokolovni. cukrikovo ovocna vona. jan5arovo cervenkasta farba. chut svieza horkasta kandizovaneho ovocia.
4.1 Copenhagen 17/12 2017. 50 cl can from Mikkeller and Friends, Torvehallerne. Red can with drawing by Keith Shore of two faces - a male and a female - peeking over a wall while the snow is falling. Pretty cool design. Pours hazy amber with off-white head. Settles as 2 cm thick layer of fluffy foam. Massive lacing. Aroma is strong and fairly sweet. Candy like quality without being too much. Balanced by a shitload of fruity bitterness. Raw and fruity grape fruit and citrus meeting refined sugar and fermented fruit. Soft carbonation and medium thick palate. Flavor is prominently sweet but followed by and balanced by strong bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter and finish semi-dry. Not much in common with a standard Witbier - but who cares when it tastes so damn nice.
3.7 50 cl can poured in to a Weizen glass. Slightly hazy amber colour with a huge lightly tanned head. Fruity aroma with citrus, orange peel and spicy notes. Wheat malts. Chocolate and caramel malts. Taste is bitter. Medium to full body with a creamy texture and an average carbonation. Finishes dry and bitter with oranges and grasses. A Witbier on steroids.
