3.7 20/X/18 - 1Pt. can from a trade, shared @ home, BB: n/a, canned: n/a - (2018-1590) Thanks to ElManana for initiating and executing the trade! Clear reddish orange beer, small creamy aery head, unstable, dissipates quickly. Aroma: lots of raspberry jam, sweetish impression, not much else. MF: lots of carbon, medium to light body. Taste: very acidic, lots of raspberries, sourish, hint of coffee. Aftertaste: acidic, some lemon juice.
3.9 Sounds weird but it's good. Strong raspberry with a hint of coffee. Slightly sour. Unique.
3.4 On tap at Mikkeller San Francisco, as Mikkeller SD Raspberry Blush. Pours red. Coffee, cherry, raspberry, toast, roasted coffee, mango, bit of a bready salty finish. Medium body. Not my thing.
3.4 Tap at Pub 42. Hazy orange pink pour with a minor white head. Coffee aroma. Flatter palate. Mild fruit taste.
3.8 Berliner Weisse from Mikkeller's San Diego brewing installation - one I had wonderful IPAs from but no sours yet - shared by tderoeck, cheers! Apparently flavoured with raspberry and, not kidding, "second craft rye whisky barrel aged Ethiopian coffee" - hipster alert! Very thick and foamy, off-pinkish, cobweb-lacing head over fuchsia-rosy-hued hazy amber robe. Aroma of fresh red raspberries indeed, rosehip, oven dried tomato peel and green tomatoes, white bread, unsugared forest fruit yoghurt, chalk. Crisp, sour onset, brimming with red raspberry flavour and puckering a little bit initially but balanced by an inherent soft sweetish core too, crisp and minerally carb, supple and fluffy bready body, tad soapy, dried by the raspberry acidity and adding a sesame seed-like raspberry seed flavour in the finish as well, green tomato accent probably connecting the raspberry part with a green coffee bean-like accent, which altogether remains very subdued and, as said, 'green'. Dryingly sour, fruity ending. Less weird than expected (if you're used to fruited kettle sours): raspberry and lactic sourness govern this beer and do their job very well, though even in this form, Mikkeller sours in general still fail to leave a deep impact on me.
4.4 Es una sour con frutos rojos muy atractiva con buen cuerpo, apoyada por el trigo. Muy bien balanceada.
3.5 Tulip glass at Mikkeller tap room in Oakland Cal. Smell the raspberries. Pinkish in color and hazy. Has the raspberries taste with the coffee after taste. Pretty smooth but very different. Above average brew. Cheers!
3.6 Tap at mikkeller bangkok. Red color, white head. Aroma has fresh raspberries, some sour notes. Fresh raspberry taste, some sour notes, hint of lemon.
3.4 Can. Amber-pink beer with a pink head. Light coffee and light raspberry aroma. Raspberry and light coffee flavor with light tartness and light salt. Medium bodied. Raspberry and tartness linger with light earthiness.
3.7 Can from Craft Brewed. Pours a clearish ruby color with a quickly dissipating off-white head. Coffee and raspberry skin forward nose. Light mineral, sulphur taste on the palate with a strong, dry raspberry character. Lingering raspberry skin on the finish. Quite nice with both ingredients complimenting each other well.
3.7 16oz can from San Diego. Unfiltered reddish-pink body. Fading soapy off-white head. Big, juicy raspberry tone..coffee is more or less absent. The raspberry is big and thick, Solid, tasty Berliner.
3.3 Can at home, 07/05/18. Reddish orange with a fast collapsing light crimson head. Nose is sharp raspberries, damp straw, lemon rind, light coffee grinds, grains. Taste comprises raspberry sherbets, balsa wood, coffee grinds, faint spice, berry pips, lemon tingle, grains. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Decent enough refresher and the coffee is rightly understated however I prefer my Linners a little more sour and sharper than this one.
3.9 Can from AJs. Cloudy, slughy red. Nose is raspberry, light lactic. Rich raspberry flavor, creamy, tart, hint of coffeein the finish. Loved it.
3.3 Can from Beer Cartel on 27 April 2018. I certainly got plenty of raspberry aroma and flavour but I did struggle to detect any coffee - maybe the raspberry was just too overpowering form my palate. Tart sour finish was nice.
3.5 Can. Light pink hazy pour, small pink head. Nose is quite sour, berry notes. Taste crisp and sour as well, berry mostly. Medium body, average carbonation.
3.6 The aroma is full of tart raspberries, coffee, sour apples and jam. The color is raspberry red. The taste is full of raspberries, coffee and jam. A nice beer!
3.6 0,5 litre Can from Gulating Hamar. Pink/red with white head. Raspberry aroma and taste, with little coffee aftertaste.
2.8 Can from A.J.'s Beer Warehouse. Aroma of raspberries, cereal malts, coffee, and spice. Taste is sweet with a tart finish.
3.5 Can. Cloudy light pinkish amber. Aroma: coffee and strawberries, berries and vanilla. Taste: sour, coffee, strawberry, berries, refreshing, cool and crazy.
3.1 Tap at Mikkeller Bar Copenhagen. Smelt a bit like Marstons vinegar when you mix into tuna. Taste was quite remarkable, the successful mix of raspberry and coffee. Would like to try more to be honest. Weird but interesting.
4.1 Can shared @ Koelschtrinker's tasting. Nice raspberry beginning. The Berliner Weisse is fruity with lemon and smooth sourness. The raspberries are nice and subtle, the coffee is not there - not even in hints. But that's not a problem here - the picture of the Berliner Weisse with the fresh and fruity raspberries is very round and fresh, the raspberries are great fruity! Fantastic brew.
3.8 16oz can - pours an opaque pink grapefruit color . Soft raspberry aroma with faint coffee . Mildly tart , fruity no real presence of coffee in the flavor .
3.4 473ml can from Mikkeller Beer Club. Canned 17180. Pours deep red with a small white head. Aroma of tart raspberries, sweetish juicy notes, hints of roastiness and coffee. Taste is sweetish, tart and heavy with raspberry juice, hints of lactic sourness, roastiness and coffee. Finish is crisp, sweet and sticky with some tart raspberry juice, lactic sourness, hints of coffee and roastiness. Not a lot of coffee here, but enough to give it a nice twist. A bit too sweet and sticky though.
3.1 Süffiger, mild säuerlicher Beginn, Himbeeren. Wenig Kaffee, die Säure nimmt recht schnell ab. Süffig, fein würzig, mittellanger Nachhall, Gut. 12/9/10/9/10/9
3.5 Sampled @ Koelschtrinker Tasting. A hazy amber beer with a small white head. Aroma of raspberries, soft tart fruits. Taste of soft tart fruits, raspberries, sugar, lactose, nice.
3.3 Sampled from 0.473 l can. Slightly hazy, pale red with a white head. Sweetish, slightly sourish, moderately fruity aroma of lots of raspberries, some cherries and a touch of coffee. Slightly sweetish, moderately sour, quite fruity taste of raspberries, lemon, some coffee and hints of strawberry, followed by a short, moderately tart, rather dry finish. Thin body, moderately astringent and slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Nice!
2.4 Can. Hazy pink red color. Small size, off-white head, stays. Raspberries, sourish, lactose in aroma. Raspberries, sour, berries and coffee in taste. Raspberry juice and coffee in aftertaste. Raw acidic juicy bite. Doable brew.
1.2 473ml can (Alus Celle, Riga) (3:2:2:1:4=1.2) The fuck is this? Oh, craft beer, carry on. Terrible lacto aroma with terrible shitty dirty ashtray mess. Pinkih and hazy, brief head. Nasty sour palate, otherwise watery. Disgusting lacto taste, with added dirt. Harsh dirty finish. God no. A fucking horror. But as I said - craft beer.
3.3 Can. Pours red. Aroma is sour, raspberries. Flavor follows the nose. Body is on the thinner side. Overall: ok.
