3.5 Can at home, 27/04/17. Lightly hazed golden amber with a well appointed egg shell white head. Nose is tangerine, orange pith, straw, caramel, toasted grains, airy malts. Taste comprises caramel malt, bitter orange, faint pine, toasted brioche, melon, light spice trail, light mango, toasted grains. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with balanced hop bitterness. Decent enough IPA.
3.4 Backlog, ocena przepisana z untappd, w ramach uzupełniania profilu na ratebeer.
3.3 Amber colour with thin head. Aroma and flavour have some caramel malt sweetness. Light piney hops. Moderately bitter.
3.9 Can frm Good Spirits Co. Orange brown, good head, nice purple can. Toffee orange aroma. Bitter apricot flavour. Smooth with bitter citrusy biscuit aftertaste. Single hop IPAs are the best.
3.7 Trübes dunkles Orange mit reichlich Schaum. Malzig, leicht süßlich, fruchtig, Grapefruit, Zitrusfrüchte, harzig, blumig, leicht bitter.
3.9 17/III/17 - 33cl can from Geers (Oostakker) @ home - BB: 8/XI/17 (2017-390) Clear dark orange to amber beer, creamy yellow to beige head, pretty stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: lots of tropical fruits, mango, caramel, malts, some biscuits. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: pretty bitter start, citrus, fruity, refreshing, little grassy, malty touch. Aftertaste: way too bitter, bit medicinal, chemical, citrus, some caramel, really really bitter finish.
3.6 Pours slightly cloudy copper. Aroma is malty, hoppy, nicely balanced. Taste is roasted, nice hop balance.
3.2 Slightly hazy dark golden color with off-white head. Aroma has earthy hops and cardboard. Taste follows with the cardboard and some generic hop bitterness, seems oxidized although it’s from a can. Medium body and carbonation. Overall I am really disappointed by the new single hop canned series.
3.9 Can from Westhill service station. Pours a slightly hazed orange with a lively head that fades slowly. Aromas of oranges, grapefruit and spicy floral. Flavour is juicy peach, oranges with bitter grapefruit.
3.9 Very nice sweet, fresh, fruity aroma. Notes of pineapple, peach, orange, papaya. Quite dark for an IPA, but not too dark for sure. Nice head, looks good. Taste has similar notes to aroma. Surprisingly rich for cascade signle hop. At first it seems to be rather sweet, but not for long. It quickly become really dry, crisp. Super pleasant bitterness in the back end. Nice, full mouth feel. There is nothing amazing in this beer, but yet it’s so well made, so balanced, so well composed that it deserves to be appreciated.
3.8 Can at home, bought at Geers. Light metal, some yeast, nice fruitiness and a pretty solid bitterness. Solid IPA all-round.
3.4 330 ml can. Pours a hazy amber with a slightly off-white head. The aroma is medium hoppy with light citric and light herbal notes and lightly malty (biscuit, caramel). Medium body with a low carbonation and a medium to strong bitterness. Taste of grapefruit along with some malt, quiet fresh with a lasting bitterness but not very dense.
3.9 Murky brass colour. Thin, white head. Aroma is grapefruit. Taste is moderately bitter with some liquorice and stone fruit. Spicy finish.
3.3 Fresh 33cl can en route bb11/2017, Geers. - - Upfront single cascades with rough edges on a well-carbonated straightforward thin cara malt base make for a gradual singleminded palate number. - Dried sweet orange peel and dried lemongrass going into scallions (oxydation) in aroma soon merge in a leafy, herbal bitterness of green and Earl Grey tea in flavour. Ice tea granulate and wet pine. Sharp metallic finish. Not a big fan of the thin, nearly breaking up malt base aerated by large carbo bubbles giving the residual sugars a "trashy" taste. A less noble Liberty Ale of sorts with about 1% excess ABV.
3.4 Can at home. Pours a hazy orange/amber with a white head. Tropical fruits, floral, light grassy, some sweet malts. Medium body & carbonation. Quite a sharp bitter, light sweet.
3.4 330ml bottle into schooner glass. Pours a hazy copper colour with enormous white head, exuberant effervescence and floaties. Laces well. Nose is earthy hops and caramel malt but subdued. Lightly tingly on tasting, a sweet fruit finish quickly turns to dark fruit cake. Alcohol is increasing apparent on the palate. Good beer but a bit too boozy for my tastes.
4.1 Am Ende ein bißchen zu aufdringlich messerscharf. Ansonsten gibt es nicht viel zu mäkeln. Zutiefst vermalzt, tropisch/grasig fruchtig und immer am IPA Limit. Yes!!! 0,33l CAN. MIKKELLER Online Store. Ca. 4€.
3.8 Can. Turner’s, Sheffield. Hazy, orange amber. Thick, foamy, off white head. Nose has bruleed citrus. Candied orange and pineapple. Sugary, toasted malts. Notes of earthy stone fruit. Taste is nicely balanced malt sweetness and citrusy hop. Soft mouthfeel. Bit of hop twang. Light, long, citrus bitterness to finish.
3.3 Amber color, huge creamy off-white to golden head. Malty nose, toffee, floral, wood, grass. Caramel taste, malty, fruity notes, hint of grapefruit and licorice, moderate bitterness. Medium body, soft carbonation.
3.9 My third dusty old 2012 Mikkeller single hop. Surprisingly fresh. Pine smell. Very carbonated. Some sediment. Tangy and bitter, some herbal, some grapefruit. Even at this age it is a summer day’s beer. Lovely red-gold colour. Mid oily. Not very dank for its age. Not at all what I was expecting.
3.6 Bottle at home from backlog notes. Pours a hazy amber color with a small off white head. The aroma and flavor have toasted malts, caramel, some floral notes, grapefruit citrus, just a hint of spicy hops, doesn’t seem as old as most.
3.7 Bottle from Vinmonopolet’s BU. Best before 26/02/17. Hazy copper body. Medium sized, frothy, slightly orange head. Resin, honey and malt nose. Lemon, citrus, malt, pineapple, apple flavour. Good malt backbone in this single hop series! Bitter with some sweetness. Medium, slick body. Medium carbonation as well. Good!
3.6 Színe és habja mint a többi single hop-é. Illata intenzíven citrusos. Íze tipikus Cascade, de egy nagyon harmonikus alap van mögötte. Szokás szerint testes.
3.4 330 ml bottle. Hazy orange colour with stable head off. Aroma is floral, hoppy. Taste of grapefruits, grapes, bitter finish.Medium sweetness, medium bitterness. Expected more variability in taste.
3.7 backlog. Was available last year for a limited time only. Piney, quaffable, nice showcase of cascade.

3.9 (Mikkeller Single Hop Cascade IPA) Draft at Craft & Draft, Amsterda, served into a shaker, 250ml. ABV 6.9% Orange coloured body with a tall and thick, white head on top. Great retention and heavy lacing left on the glass. Aroma of spicy yeast, nicely hopped. Taste of caramel malts, light citrus, oranges, tangerine, light tropical fruits. Medium body, good carbonation, mildly dry on the palate. Very good.
3.1 Bottle. Amber color, cloudy liquid, white head. Aroma of grapefruit; I cannot feel anything else. Heavy bitter, but not very pleasant. Long bitter finish. Something for tough men I guess.
3.8 Bottle at DvaDve. Solid caramel background. Clear orange-amber colour. Very easy drinking though assertively bitter. Hoppy aroma and flavour is surprisingly un-cascadey. General fruitiness with resiny and zesty notes. Very good and easy drinking though.
2.9 Bottle at DvaDve, Košice. Pours amber color, white head. Aroma of malt, hops, citrusy. Taste is medium sweet, lightly bitter, malty, hoppy, citrusy, grapes.
