3.0Dark cooper hazy colour. Creamy head. Full body with bitter finish. You can also feel the alcohol which is not bad fir this beer.
3.5can, amber colour ,nice head ,citrus fruity, mildly bitter aftertaste
3.9This is a very lively beer! Full of taste and defintely citrus! It is good that you get the beer that belongs to the description on the bottle. If you want full flavour, get this one.
2.4The taste is citra, and it´s great... in the beginning, then like other single hops, boring in the end.
3.2Can. Pours clear golden. Dank, orange peel, papaya, pine. Fairly malty, caramel. Medium high bitterness.
3.6330ml draught at Underdog. Pours cloudy amber with white wispy head. Dank hop, citrus, resin, pine. Flavour is a caramel sweet with mild bitter finish. Dank and nice.
3.1Can at 100 piv. Moderate fruity exotic hoppiness, but also surprising low diacetyl, with moderate caramelly maltiness. Could be more crisp, juicy. Good, but not great.
3.5Pours golden, slightly hazy with foamy white head. Aroma: intense hop profile with pine like, citrusy, floral, grassy character. Flavor follows aroma: intense hop profile with notes mentioned above and biscuity, gentle toffee (almost caramel) like malt character. Hop bitterness is high, finish dry, long lasting bitter. Body is medium, texture soft, carbonation is medium. They didn’t use all potentials of hops.
3.2Barwa złota, piwo lekko przymglone, piana biała, redukuje się do obrączki.
Aromat średnio-intensywny, chmielowy (cytrusy, ananas) i słodowy: słodkie bułki, lekki diacetyl (masło).
A Citra komló jellegzetessége kijön benne, kellemesen gyümölcsös, citrusos. Színe közepes borostyán. Rendben van. (Elso Mikkeller csapfoglalás alkalmával a Jónásban, csapról).
3.4A 330ml can with a best before date of 8th November 2017. Poured into a Lost Abbey teku glass. It was a hazy dark amber colour with a two finger off white head that had good retention and left lots of nice lacing. Aromas were a bit light but there’s citrus and tropical grapefruit, melon and peach with hints of caramel and pine. Tastes of bitter grapefruit, citrus orange, pine, grass and caramel maltiness. The booziness was also actually quite obvious here. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Overall this was ok, but the malts overpowered the hops and it was surprisingly boozy.
4.0Can from 100 piv. Hazy orange color with thick white head. Strong citrus hoppy aroma with zest, pines, grapefruits, caramel. Taste, solid malty base followed by nice Citra hops. Long citrus hoppy bitter finish. Nice.
3.9Can from Pezinská pivná pumpa.
Mikkeler didn’t disappoint. Well done. Well balanced citrus taste where I somewhere had a feeling that I must be drinking creamy miracle.
3.7Bottle from Beer Gonzo, Webshop, Earlsdon, Coventry, at Camping Brehadour, Guerande, Brittany, Thursday 15th June 2017 Pours light amber with a mid sized white head. A little bit of caramel jostles with but then loses out to the hops, in fact the hops start to punch through. A bit bolshier than you might expect, I like it. A7 A4 T7 P4 Ov15 3.7
3.3Can at Budapest. Hazy deep orange with beige head. The aroma has is very hoppy with notes of citrus (orange), dunk, piney and earthy. Bitter flavor, earthy and hoppy with notes of citrus (orange), dunk, piney, green, some maltiness. Medium-bodied.
3.9Opálos borostyán szín. Az illata citrusos, narancsos, de nem túl intenzív. Íze hozza a citra trópusi gyümölcsös jellegzetességét. Közepesen keserű. Kezdő ipásnak megfelelő sör.
2.8Can. Copper pour, huge foamy head that comes down slowly. Aroma - mainly something metallic there, oxidised hops, covering the malty base. Again, shouldn’t really be infected or anything as can is normally quite a good vessel but still, something wrong here (and same goes fr two other cans I tried earlier). Maybe also not the best recipe for single hop beers, I have gotten many single hop Citra beers that have been amazing. Tastes malty, maybe some citric notes but overall just a mess.
4.033cl bottle at home from De Caigny, Belgium. Nose is citric, grass. Body is hazy orange, head is medium, cream white, creamy, mostly lasting, good lacing. Aroma is tropical fruits, citrus, grass, honey, grapefruit. Medium sweet, light bitter, light citric sour. Finish is long lasting hoppy medium bitter. Medium body, creamy texture, soft carbonation. Easy, refreshing, tasty, well balanced, great one.
4.133cl can, thanks to k0mpsa. This skilfully made brew reminds me of saying: “The few who do are the envy of the many who watch.” - Jim Rohn. Loving the citra as always and who better to make it.
3.6Backlog, ocena przepisana z untappd, w ramach uzupełniania profilu na ratebeer. Ciasteczkowa słodowość, nuty cytrusów, żółtych owoców.
3.8Trübes Bernstein mit durchschnittlicher Schaumkrone. Malzig, sehr fruchtig, Zitrus, Mandarine, Orangenmarmelade, sehr süffig.
2.8Can, 7 months until the BB date. Hazy dark orange color with beige head. Smells like old hops and oxidation, earthy with cardboard notes. Taste has also cardboard, some fusel alcohol, medium earthy bitterness on the finish. Lingers dry with earthy hops and bitter grapefruit. Medium body and carbonation. I think this is the worst from the single hop series. Had multiple cans and all were off.
3.5Bote 33cl. Aromas y sabores marcadamente citricos, deja una sensación de sequedad en el paladar, cuerpo medio.
3.1(On tap Gothenburg) Orange with white head. Tangerine, caramel and grass. Dry, fruity and sweet finish. Ok.
3.7Can at alus celle, riga. Copper color, white head. Aroma has sweet malty notes, citrus, hops. Sweet malty body, citrus, hops, some mango notes, some unpleasant soapy notes.
3.5Huge yellow head over faintly hazy amber beer. Cheesy, bit resiny hops, valerian, closed-fruity nose. Dry-ish, bit cakey flavour, again faintly cheesy. Slick, faintly oily impression, low carbonation. Cheesy (more than I expect from Citra), but still quite nice.
3.617/III/17 - 33cl can from Geers (Oostakker) @ home - BB: 8/XI/17 (2017-391)
Pretty hazy dark orange to amber beer, big irregular creamy to aery yellow head, pretty stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: citrus, fruity, bit grassy, grapefruit notes, bit of kiwi, malty. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: citrus, grapefruit, pretty bitter, sweet malts, ripe fruits, caramel. Aftertaste: very very bitter, grapefruit, dry, bit grassy. Wow, I was really expecting a lot more of this one.
2.2On tap. Amber color, hazy to cloudy liquid, yellowish head. Aroma of grass and caramel. Medium to heavy harsh bitter, medium to heavy sweet. Clearly overhopped. Citra is not recognizable, this beer is lacking freshness, fruitiness and smell of IPA. Not worth the money paid.
3.733cl bb11/2017, Geers. Thicker murky peach pour. Sweet apricot cake aroma, candied orange peel, damp resin granules. Quickly reroutes sweet stonefruit hop oils into bitter resins on damp cake soil. Works, not as immediately impressive as other Mikkeller IPAs, but that is still above par, especially for an IPA "Product of Belgium".
