Mikkeller Single Hop Nugget IPA

Mikkeller Single Hop Nugget IPA

3.6 OK IPA. Fortfarande är magnum favoriten i single hop serien. Ganska måttligt humlad.
3.1 Bottle. Three finger foam. Amber haze. Faint aromas of moss green leaves on forrest soil. Bitter Caramalty taste. Medium body and carbonaton. A bit boring aroma hop.
3.3 On tap at Novare Res, Portland ME in April 2010. Hazy amber. Not the most assertive or aromatic hop on this evidence. Relatively earthy. Pleasant drinking but nothing leaps out. Not my favourite of the Mikkeller single hop IPA series.
2.8 The aroma is sort of weak with a grassy herbal hop and a grainy malt and an earthy quality. The appearance is amber with a medium head and floaties. The taste is like the aroma. The palate is average. Overall I am not really on board here but not bad.
3.1 Has a really sweet caramel scent, light burn after the sweet taste, rather old.
3.1 A-- Poured a light amber color with hints of orange through the beer and pour. A light khaki colored head, aggressive pour left me with a huge 1 finger head, once settled. A sorts of lacing with the head. Thick and sticky, reminds me of a root beer float lacing. Medium to large bubbles in the head and decent head retention when swirled. S-- Big bold spicy hop smell. Fresh grass but earthy sort of smell. Decent carmel background. Fresh citrus is also mixed in with this. T-- A lot of pine, mixed with earthiness. A rather big carmel blast right of the first sip with just a bit of citrus to back this up. M-- Very medicinal feel in the very end. A little oily, and orange peel becomes more evident. For me grass also becomes more apparent in the mouth than in the taste. Very crisp and piney start but oily and orange in the finish. Medium carbonation to this but heavy, chewy and spicy. Flavor does stay with you a long time.
3.4 Bottle. Rich orange pour with a white head. Grass and floral hops with biscuity malt to balance. Solid.
3.8 Bottle tasted at Japalo. One finger head. Nice light amber color. Great initatitive That Mikkeller has initiated!! Good basic IPA to taste alle the different hops!! I love Nugget.
3.6 A hazed dark amber IPA with a thick frothy mocha head. In aroma, pungent caramel malt with treacle and intense floral hops, piney and green, light doughy notes. In mouth, a nice smooth IPA with caramel malt with loads of fruity esters, smooth herbaceous and piney hops, with citrus pulp, a bit of dark fruits in finale, well done. Bieropholie import, BB 11-11.
3.3 330 ml bottle @ Patricks. Hazy orange body with a big off-white head. Relatively mild in aroma, caramel malt, berries and blackcurrant leaves. Flavor has soft malt and a rather general, but distinct bitter touch without so much fruit or anything else. Medium body, and bitter aftertaste. Nice, but a bit straightforward.
3.2 A descent brew overall. If you’re a fan of high bitterness & Nugget hops then this is fully for you. Personally I enjoyed this beverage but didn’t fall for this Mikkeller creation. The bitterness limited the potential flavor from the ingredients.
3.6 Gedronken bij benzai, samen met dutchdrebus. Kleur is bruin oranje niet helder. smaakt bitter en hoppig
3.7 Golden amber, off white head, and frothy lacing. Floral, citrus, mild malt aroma and flavor. Medium hop bitterness front and back, mild sweetness. Full bodied.
3.4 bottled, another big thanks to jacob. clear amber with a massive furry head; clean aroma of pine and fruits salad; juicy and clean with plenty of wet green grass and biscuity malt and a crisply bitter finish
3.2 Tasted in 2009. Hazy gold with an average sized off-white head. Aroma is of wet laundry, hops and grass. Taste is quite bitter with grass and citrus notes.
3.3 Bottle, tasted beside Apollo and Citra from the series. Grassy nose with something like black grapes. Flavor is a bit dull, some citrus, grass, nothing really stood out.
3.8 330ml bottle pours a golden orangeish color with a big white head that retains well and leaves a lovely thin lacing on the glass. Aroma is floral and citrus hops with toasted malts. Taste is a bold citrus and earthy hop bitterness with a solid malty sweet backbone. Medium body and good carbonation. A really well done IPA that is definitely recommended for a tasting.
2.6 330mL bottle, enjoy by 09/04/11. Violet colored label. Light copper color, thin light tan head. Aroma of fruit. Wooded, leafy character. Flavor is the same leafy character. Earthy with fruit.
3.7 Pours a lovely shade of amber. Aroma is light and floral with some malty sweetness creeping in. Flavor is well balanced but shows off the wonder of the nugget!
3.9 Poured a amber brownish red with pretty good carbonation, good head retention actually keeping a finger width of creamy off white and good lacing-solid layers keeping on the glass. Aroma is very good malt and some spice/peppery with hops herbal maybe slightly floral although i think ive seen these collect dust over the last year, but it is still fantastic. Very good malt taste, smooth creamy great medium sweetness, good resinoy wet hoppish bittering.Very good tasting beer.
3.7 Amber red body with a white head. Aroma is bittersweet to sweet, with caramel, floral notes, mango, apricot, strawberry. Flavour is nicely balanced bittersweet, with some apple, caramel, grapefruit notes.
3.6 Bottle [11.2oz]. Pours a hazy orange-copper with a large lasting frothy off-white head. Good lacing. Aroma is sweet, piney and floral along with caramel malt and fruit -- maybe some alcohol as well. Flavour of spicy, piney hops with floral notes along with caramel malt, some alcohol and fruit. Nice bitter finish. Medium bodied. Pretty good, not my favourite hop but it’s well made and enjoyable.
3.9 Pours amber with a robust off-white head and decent lacing Nose is a potent floral hop aroma. Body is medium with a smooth mouthfeel. Flavor is also floral on top of malts. The finish is citrus fruit, and dry. A very nice beer with a nice bitterness in both flavor and finish
4.0 Draft beer at "The Drunken Duck Pub" in Quinto Vicentino, Vicenza, Italy. Nice white fluffy persistant head. The beer is initially characterized by an a floreal aroma with hints of light citrus and apricots. It has a strong and decisive bitter taste due to the quantity of hop used compensated by a rather sweet and soft finish.
3.6 Im going to have to try this one with one of the better standalone hops like centennial. The base beer is very good for an ipa. A nice ABV is achieved without too much malt to overwhelm the hops. The one problem with this beer is the nugget hop is more of a supporting hop not a star.
3.6 Light floral and citrus aromas. Actually well balanced malts to hop. Actually a very nice bitterness on the finish. Nugget is a pretty awesome hop, I was hoping someone other than Sam Adams did the single hop beers. Too bad they are $7 a bottle.
3.1 11.2 oz poured into a pint glass. Tasting against the Simcoe and Amarillo ones. Pour is medium amber with an offwhite head. Aromas are floral and bready. Taste is citrus and floral, with some strange bitter flavor that overwhelms, that must be the nugget. Very dry finish and lingering bitterness. Overall, not my favorite, too much bitterness from the Nugget hop, I guess.
2.2 Luktar lite fruktigt. Smakar lite torrt och besk med en hint av frukt. Samma eftersmak.
3.8 Pours a hazy copper with tons of sediment. Pillowy off-head. Nice and thick and super sticky. Belgian nose with notes of citrus, pine and hay. Slightly funky but overall more subdued than I would like. Resinous, piney flavor, lemony, and fresh. Thick body, slightly tart finish and dry. Bitter, lingering aftertaste. Solid IPA.
3.4 Pours out of bottle, slightly hazy orange with white head. Aroma has notes of some caramel, grass, some orange, spice notes in there as well. Taste is nice spicy hops, some earth, citrus and pine in there as well, slightly bitter finish. The bottle conditioning makes it a bit too thick. Not bad.
