3.9Bottle from B&G, Hammel. Pours golden with an off-white head. Aroma and taste is hops, tropical fruits, grapefruit, pine, caramel, malts, grass and herbal notes. Soft carbonation. Nice bitter fruity finish.
3.4Caramel and oranges in the nose. Medium body. Big fruity finish. Fairly simplistic IPA
3.9The color is copper haze due to settling yeast residues, as I certainly do not detest and therefore leaves end up in my glass. The foam is very robust, almost creamy, but falls after some time to a moderate level. The aroma is citrus and expectant good hops. The taste is slightly fruity peach and other fruit, but only very briefly before the hops takes over. It has just the right bitterness that I think is delicious and characterizes a good American IPA. It is certainly a very delicious and 100% type of real American IPA.
4.4Bottle. Pours honey golden with a white greenish foam. Nose is fresh and sweet, caramel, citrus and fruit. Taste is light sweet with malty aromas and profound hoppy bitterness. Notes of melon pomelo and melon. Very decent glass
3.5Draught 1/2 pint at The Three Johns, Angel Islington on 10/08/2015. Hazy dark amber in colour, with a medium sized off white coloured head. Medium body and soft carbonation. Aroma of caramel, malt, and floral pine. Sweet on the palate, toffee and malt, tropical fruit, citrus. Heavily hopped, with a dry bitter fruity finish.
2.0Not sure if the product we got out of the bottle with this exact label is the same as rated by others. My brew smells of sweet molasses and malt with no hops. Gritty dirt bitter from a dark murky brown colored body. Not very good. Bad sample? Wrong bottling?
1.4Bought at super saver Somerville , NJ: dark Amber color, murky with particles. Doesn't look at all as anything I see described here , almost wondering if the bottle got labeled wrong. Intense malt nose, raisin . Short intense herbal bitterness that is somehow flat and short lasting although sticking a bit to the roof of the tongue. It seems weird and of. Coming back to this as I have another bottle and see if just this one was off.
3.3Bue en bouteille de 33cl à la brasserie,
couleur ambrée, grosse mousse et effervescence moyenne.
Nez Pamplemousse
Brûle le palais en début de bouche puis attaque pamplemousse et fin de bouche sur l’asperge oui oui l’asperge (bref je reviens de plus en plus sur Mikkeller)
3.4Bottle camping in France. Hazy orange pour, off-white head. Aroma of fruity hops, somewhat grainy, some citrus and a bit of yeast. Flavor is quite bitter, somewhat yeasty, dry, fruity, lemon peel and slightly spicy. One of my less favorite aroma hops.
3.9This beer will forever deserve a special place in my heart. Given to me by a gang of entrepreneurs and hopefully now friends from Denmark. This was the first beer they let me try. It is a wonderful old school IPA. While a few IPAs hit well on the first taste but do not round off well, this beer really does just that. A well brewed beer through and through.
3.3Bue en bouteille de 33cl. Bonne ipa bien équilibrée. Grosse longueur en bouche. Cool.
3.3330ml bottle. Hazy, copper-ish amber colour with average to huge, frothy, fairly lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Spicy herbal hoppy aroma in peppermint direction, cardamom, melissa, liquorice, toothpaste and other things mouth hygienic. Taste is dry, minimally tannic, acidic, earthy, herbal hoppy, hints of melissa, stinging-nettle, subtle caramel malty basis; long lasting, minimally biting bitter finish.
3.3Brown to copper body. Dank, bit dusty hops, less expressive than I though it would be. Alcohol makes up for this together with the biscuit malts. Still, I know there is more to offer by this hop, even in single hop variant. Admittedly the taste is well done but disappointment remains. (33cl bottle from Saveur Bière)
3.9Bold flavor and aroma with a piney and floral touch. Nice caramel malt backbone that supports a strong bitterness that keeps on kicking.
3.5tried at Colonna & Hunter, Bath. orange gold colour with a white head. Aroma is grassy and fruit hops, taste is crisp and fresh, but felt a touch thin after the other beers i tried.
