3.9Black. Rich, complex hops and roasted malt in both aroma and flavour, with notes of citrus, pine, spice and liquorice. Moderately sweet taste with a highly bitter finish. Full body with a smooth texture. Overall, a great black IPA. Very tasty. I really prefer malty IPAs with a balanced sweetness.
3.8Barwa ciemno brązowa wpadająca w czerń, bujna czapa kremowej piany, tworząca koronkę na szkle. Intensywny aromat cytrusów i owoców tropikalnych z nutą czekolady. W smaku kawa i czekolada, żywiczna, średnio wysoka goryczka.
3.6Jan. ’16. A 0.33 l bottle that poured hazy brown, almost black body with medium sized beige head. Aroma of caramel, coffee, cacao and sharp herbal hops. Flavor was bitter, dry herbal with roasted malt like coffee and licorice. Lightly salty. Fine but seemed unfinished and too simple. Full body with longer dry finish. Didn’t impress me with its plain dry bitterness and overall simplicity, but it was a very fine, fresh and very effective brew despite that. Far from the top notch for me though.

3.87.3%ABV. Black IPA.
Poured out black brown. 35ºSRM.
Nose has sweet prunes and citrus brightness like rip pineapples. Smoky sweet aromas are also appreciable.
Mouthfeel is sudsy. Palate is dark smoky flavors of Burnt toast. Mesquite charcoal and stewed fruit. These are brief with carbon, charcoal and an almost peaty smoke being right up front carried by alcholic fumes to fill the pharynx. Hops are bitter and spicy.
Finish is thickly alcoholic and oh soooo good.
Goes on Favorites List!
3.7Tap at Erzbierschof Zurich. Dark hoppy but rather soft coffee nose with a roasty mouth. Present taste, but not thick or overwhelming. Lingering liquorice finish.

3.9Bottle from Beer Gonzo webshop, consumed at home Thursday 11th February 2016 This is a truly lovely beer, drinks far easier than it should for the abv. Lovely soft carbonation, grapefruit, a streaky bite, but with a nice smooth roastiness. A measured juiciness, some pine resin, this is lovely the bitterness whilst good isn’t at all over bearing. Black with a glass clinging head. A7 A4 T9 P4 Ov15 3.9
3.8From Craftissimo. Drank w Matt after Toritama. Opaque black pour. Light beige head with bubbles and oaty clumps. Lots of dotty streaky lacing. Smells of stone fruit, pear, faint to moderate bitter coffee, cola, lightly spiced roast malt. Taste is lemony somewhat empty hop, moderate plum, moderate bitter coffee, ends on dry astringent note. Body is slick, stony, bitter, fruity fluffy chewy finish. Very good! Taste does not have the coffee and bitterness that the rest of the beer does but still excellent.
3.6Bottle from Craftissimo at home before CNY. Light black/dark dark brown clear pour. Tan foamy head. Aroma is fresh fruity hops with sharp acidic coffee, caramel, some roasted malt. Really nice. Taste is big sharp bitterness - first strong coffee then astringent hops. Good but a bit too harsh even for me - very astringent. Nice lasting coffee hop flavor. Light palate. Good not great.
