3.8Visual: (cellared for 3 years). Pours light burgundy with a small 1mm fizzy head, a thick ring with a large island of retention, singular slow sporadic streams.
Nose: medium barnyard funk, cran-raspberry jelly with big wet woody overtones. (lvl-8)-pungency
Attack: big tart-controlled soft sour, light crisp
Mid-palate: big sour-tangy, light tingly bubbles, (lvl-1-sweetness), white wine vinegar, short pukey funk
Finish: fleshy raspberry, pomegranate, big wet oak exhale, some funk, residual wheat malt palate tart
Summary: A big depth of evolved raspberry flavour complemented by an equally big woodiness. Virtually no alcohol detection. Seamless transitions in and very sippable, lots of positive characteristics in this fruit lambic.
4.1Schwarzer Johannisbeerwilderer mit krass peitschender Lederpeitsche at the end. SOUR, Säuerlich & durchaus DRY 👽😀... MIKKELLER & FRIENDS. TAP.
4.1Draft at Whole Foods. Hazy ruby pour with off-pink head, lively carbonation., Nose was lactic tartness, ample raspberry. Delicious flavor, tart and loaded with raspberry flavor, smooth finish. Delicious.
4.1(Bottle) hazy, bright pinkish amber colour with a small pinkish beige head; aroma of sourness, fruit compote, leather; intense, sour flavour, long medium sour finish
4.3330 ml can into tulip glass, best before 6/22/2017. Pours slightly hazy ruby red/light pink/orange color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and fluffy light pink head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lasts. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of huge tart/jammy raspberry, cranberry, lemon, lime, green apple, red grape, wheat, cracker, hay, straw, oak, musty funk, red wine vinegar, light vanilla, and yeast/oak earthiness. Incredible aromas with fantastic complexity and balance of fruity/funky/acidic yeast, raspberries, oak barrel, and moderate pale malt notes; with huge strength. Taste of huge tart/jammy raspberry, cranberry, lemon, lime, green apple, red grape, wheat, cracker, hay, straw, oak, musty funk, red wine vinegar, light vanilla, and yeast/oak earthiness. Good amount of fruity/lactic sourness and tannic fruit/oak tartness on the finish; with lingering notes of raspberry, cranberry, lemon, lime, green apple, red grape, wheat, cracker, hay, straw, oak, musty funk, red wine vinegar, light vanilla, and yeast/oak earthiness on the finish for a while. Incredible complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/funky/acidic yeast, raspberries, oak barrel, and moderate pale malt flavors; with a great malt/tart/sourness balance; lightly puckering, but not astringent. Moderate dryness from tart/sourness, increasing through the glass. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth and acidic/tannic/grainy balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol for 7.7%. Overall this is an incredible fruit lambic! All around fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/funky/acidic yeast, raspberries, oak barrel, and moderate pale malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink, despite the fairly intense lactic sourness and tannic fruit flavors. Never overwhelming with a nice malt backing for balance. A highly enjoyable offering.
3.227/XII/16 - 37.5cl bottle from De Hopduvel (Gent), shared @ Tim’s Christmas Tasting - BB: 14/IV/24 (2016-1498)
Clear rusty red brown beer, aery irregular off-white head, little stable, non adhesive. Aroma: lots and lots of raspberries, bit oxidized, sweet, almonds, mildew, wet cellar. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: lots and lots of raspberries, also overripe raspberries, bit sweet, little bitter, metallic, oxidized. Aftertaste: citric acidity, tannins, little bitter, pretty metallic, oxidized, aged for too long, I suppose.
3.7How: bottle Appearance: red with a small pink head, Aroma: red berries, jam, some vinegar and wood. Palate: light body, high carbonation.

In short: dry sour ale.
Pours reddish with wee off white head. Short head retention, poor lacing. Berries, strawbeerry, bubble gum nose. Light body, average carbonation, crispy texture. Taste is mild tart, berries, fruity. Some dry and astrigent aftertaste.
4.0Can (whaaaaaat?). Nice purple pour, the color of grapefruit juice as described by 50 Cent. Nice pink head. Aroma is loads of ’boos, super boosy, like Gary Boosy. Some funk. Flavor is legit, big tart round boos in your face. Really bites you. Medium body, nice fruity acidity. Another strong offering from Tickeller, who is always good for a tick, albeit an expensive one. Also best sour beer in a can I’ve ever had.
3.2Can. Moderate hay, grain and straw for the malt, light flowers for the hops, moderate basement for the yeast, with lots of raspberries and vinegar in the background. Head is average sized, fizzy, light beige, with fair lacing and is mostly diminishing. Color is murky rust. Flavor starts heavily acidic, acetic and sour, then finishes moderately acidic, lightly bitter and sour. Palate is light, watery, with a fizzy carbonation and has a tart and dry finish. A touch too sour for me, but it’s easy to appreciate the craftsmanship of this Fruit Lambic.
4.0Can: pours reddish brown with a foamy white head, aroma of raspberry jam and that acidy lambic smell, taste is extremely tart, sweet, with a dry biting finish. Very nice.
3.8Small can for The Gull. Pours a dark raspberry red with a rose head. Aroma brings out loads of raspberry. Taste is lots of raspberries, tart with very low level of residual sweetness. Good stuff.
4.0Mega mailny w aromacie i smaku. Pyszne piwo, które w zasadzie nieco przypomina mi samo Framboos :) Tutaj jednak zdecydowanie brak akcentów dzikich, sporo jest natomiast berlinerowej kwasowości. Bardzo smaczne.
4.2Fizz on the pour, white head, a murky red colour in the glass.
Smells like citrus, brett, sourness, big raspberry scent too!
Tastes like tart fresh raspberries, a top class fruit lambic. Absolutely smashed it.
3.8(330ml can from the Mikkeller Webshop) Pours a pale brownish colour with an orange-red cast and pinkish white head. Aroma of raspberry preserves, rather heavy horseblanket Brett, oak, baking apple, lemons, soft vinegar. Flavour is raspberry and cranberry juice, heavy lemony acidity, slight gooseberry, apple, moderate wood notes, light Brett earthiness on the back end, rather dry finish with lingering citrus/sour berry tartness and wood. Medium mouth feel and average carbonation. Not a bad raspberry lambic-type thing, but not with the intensity or complexity of the greats.
3.833cl can from mikkeller webshop. Appearance is light hazy rose to red. Thin head. Taste is medium sourness, light bitterness. Nice acidity. Balanced taste. Dry body. Aroma and flavours is cherries, raspberries, blueberries, wood, cheese, barnyard.

4.3Tap at Scheras for Zwanze day. Pinkish brown pour. Aroma is acidic raspberry. Taste is amazing, really tart, in your face. Love everything about it.
3.8Bottle at home, best before 2022. Bit hazy dark red with fizzy off white head. Hay, some funk, quite earthy, light raspberries and red berries, lots of leaves, wood, cellar dust, moldy shower. Medium sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with fizzy carbonation. Not bad, the raspberries are more in the background but this is one of the better Mikkeller fruit lambics I’ve tried.
3.70,375l bottle at home. BB 10/05/2022. very nice bordeaux cloudy color, small white head. smells rather funky, some raspberries, light wood, light green apples, quite nice smell. full body, medium carbonation, acidic mouthfeel. tastes rather acidic, citric, green apples, some raspberries, light wood. finishes very dry and sour with notes of citrus, light vinegar and light raspberries. overall nice one but quite acidic.
4.0Can (!) from the Brewdog Online Shop. Pours clear dark red with a thick white head. Aromas of raspberry and brett funk, faint oak. Taste is sharp, sour, big raspberry hit, then oak and a touch of sherbet. Quite intense. More canned lambics please! Great stuff.
3.5330 ml can from Mikkeller Beer Club. Hazy copper with off white head. Sour fruity with green fruit, berries and oak. Dry, medium sour with medium carbonation.
3.4Can. Pours dark red/purple with a pink head. Aroma of raspberry, a pretty sour nose. Quite thin palate, but not watery. Soft carbonation, sour finish, quite long. Heavy sourness with raspberry flavour, the sourness is quite overwhelming. Lovely aftertaste though. I am in two minds about this.
