2.9Golden yellow. Sticky head. Certain grape juice aroma, green ripe grapes. Baby farts and honey. Taste is sweet, acidic, corn, wheat grass and celery. Acidic sour notes. Dry finish
3.9Bottle. Tart aroma of grape, apples and barnyard. Sour grape flavour with a little apple sweetness. Very nice.
3.0Bottle. 7.7%. Best before 05.05.21. Pours a hazy to cloudy light orange, with a diminishing off-white head. Slight lacing. Sour aroma; some brett. Light fruity notes in the background, but a bit hard to pick up. Increases as it warms though. Flavour is sour with a juicy note (feels a bit like apple juice, for some reason). Earthy. Dry and bitter finish with a touch of alcohol and a lingering sourness ending in an apple note. The bitterness is a grape fruit one; feels a bit unpleasant. Overall so-so. I think it lacks some character, and I’m not that into the bitterness. Still, fairly decent, I guess. 20.02.14.
3.81 feb, sista ölen för kvällen. Oklar guld-orange med vitt skum. Doft: "Suris", vitt vin, jäst, fresh frukt källar doft. Smak: Samma som doft. Enkel, rakt fram och fresh suris.
4.3Pours a light amber colour with a good white head. Aroma of grapes, barnyard and oak. The lambic smell is just one of the best. Flavour is really sour, just as it should be! Grapes, green apple, oak and some hints of earthiness. Awesome. Medium and refreshing body with suiting carbonation. Overall a fantastisc beer like the other spontanales from Mikkeller
3.9375 ml bottle. Pours murky golden with a minimal head. Aroma is vinegar, funk and hints of grape. Taste is nicely balanced funk and hops with the grapes coming out in the end.
3.7Bottle from BOE, split with JF at the pre 5K tasting, 12/11/13.
Hazed golden amber with a good sized off white covering.
Nose is dank wood, grape skin, apple core, musty, lemon rind.
Taste comprises dry rot, earthy wood, soured grapes, apple skins, lemon rind, funky straw.
Medium bodied, light spritzy carbs, keeps it drinking well.
Nice sour.
3.8Bottle from Belmont Station, Portland. Pours a medium golden orange, little to no head. Nose sour, funky, bretty, vinous. Body lively, sweet, with just a touch of funk and grapes. Very nice.
3.9Bottle from Marcus as SpontanWhiteGrape. Pours translucent gold with a creamy white head. Lactic aroma. With white grapes. :) Near med body. Flavor is lactic/sweat sox with some white grape. Amazing how that works. Actually suggests grapefruit rind if one relaxes. Quite tasty.
3.5Bottle as Spontanwhitegrape. Pours gold with quickly dissipating white head. Nose and taste of grape musk, funk, oak, white wine, wild yeast and mixed fruits. Medium body.
4.3Pear apple peach and a bit of sow-rrr aroma. Bright golden hazy color with short lived white head. TART! hah. But damn is it good. Dry grapes and leather. F-yeah.
3.5En av de sämre spontanarna från Mikkeller må jag säga. Dock fint grapeinslag.
4.0Bottle (375 ml). From Kevin, thanks a lot Sir! Clear bright golden with a small quickly diminishing white head and no lacing. Aroma is of grapes, funk, leather, wood, green apples (in a good way) and wood. Taste is moderately sour/acidic with funk, grapes, green apples, wood and hay. Dry. Light body. Medium carbonation. This is very good and taste pretty much like a Belgian Lambic. Dry, refreshing, quenching and complex.
3.8Bouteille 375 ml, partagée par Tom10101, merci! Robe dorée claire. Le collet blanc disparaît rapidement. Arôme: raison, levures, rustique. Au goût, une bonne acidité fruitée rafraichissante. Très intéressante!
2.9I’m not a fan of sours whatsoever, but found this just about drinkable. Pours almost an orange color, light sour taste with fruit punch. Strange beer-not one I’d order another of, not awful but kind of ’interesting’. I guess I appreciate the fact they’re trying something and it nearly works for me....but not quite!
3.4375 ml bottle. Pretty clear, dark golden body with floaters and a big white head. Aroma is relatively moderate funky with some citric fruit and a hint of grapes. Flavor is sour and refreshing, slightly tart with light funk and fruit with hints of grapes. Fine body and acidic aftertaste with a light wooden kind of bitterness. Refreshing and nice, but lacks the complexity of a fine Belgium lambic.
3.2Hazy golden with a white cap. Aroma is slightly tart, slightly spicy and a bit of white wine. Actually looks and smells a bit like a ginger ale. Taste is medium tart, slightly sweet and finishes very clean. Not overly exciting but a decent beer.
3.0Bit hazy golden with thin white fast disappearing head
Aroma.. grape, wood, moderate malty and hoppy
Ehh.. bit too sour for me with decent bitter finish.
Interesting and drinkable beer for try
3.5Sample from bottle. Aroma discreet, of harsh malts. Taste is fairly sour, the grape is mostly in the finish, but very pleasant.
3.127th August 2011
Hazy gold beer, little white head. Light crispy palate, semi dry. Light sourness, a little wood. Just a sublte hint of grape! Okay - more grape would have been good!
3.4Bottle @ NK Saluhall. Pale golden colour with a quickly disappearing head. Aroma is light, fruit, grapes. Flavour wasn’t what I expected at all. Much like a white wine. A little sour. Strong flavour of grapes.

3.5Bottle. Pours a clear pale gold with a bubbly white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of musty funk that is backed by a dry green grape note. Flavor starts with sour and dry green grape and is joined by a nice earthy/barnyard funk note.
3.8Light mid amber, head rapidly dissipated, smells funky and fruity with some grape scent, taste- funky and fruity, green fruits and grape. A delicious lambic enjoyed with blur Brie and Serrano jamon.
3.5Bottle. Pours a deep golden straw with some hazing. Decent white head hangs in there for a while. Aromas show citric acidity and just a little earthiness, Taste is dominated once again with a citrus type sourness. Medium mouthfeel. Not the best of the serioud but not too bad all the same.
3.9Sample at SBWF 2012.
A bit hazy orange with a medium, white head. Nice and fresh with green apples, grape, funk, yeast, brett and with a dry finish. A tasty one.
3.3First Lambic beer to rate, so here goes nothing. I’m comparing this to Lindemans Gueuze Cuvée René.... so again I’m a bit unsure about how to approach this rating. Aroma is mostly acetic, with the slightest touch of fruit. The beer appears a cloudy and a bit red, lots of carbonation bubbles, with a small head. Taste is fairly complicated. Starts off sharp and sour, turns a bit sweet, with lots of tingly sour bites throughout each sip. The after taste is mildly sour, with some apple and grape flavours. This beer has about 3 or 4 changes throughout the sip, but is constantly surrounded by sourness. Palate is light and carbonated. The acid gives a tingle to the tongue and mouth. Impressed to try a non-Belgian lambic.
3.4375 ml bottle - pours clear golden with a steady white head, full of medium bubbles. tart aroma’s of wood, rice vinegar, and a hint of riesling wine. Light to medium body with a nice kick of freshness and a bitter dry ending (even very dry). Not bas, I miss the grapes a bit... and it’s not a real beer, right?
3.4375mL bottle to pint glass
Sour aoma of grapes, lemon, lacto bacillus. Slightly cloudy light amber with a thin white head. There's a nice bitterness here but the overwhelming flavour is sour.
3.6Fluffy froth on top of clear amber. Winey aroma and citrus. Some bitterness, tickling carbonation. Very tart.
