3.4 Slightly hazy golden with minimal head, sour aroma. Taste is citrus and sour yeasts. Quaffable and refreshing.
4.0 Aroma and flavors of tart citrus with a strong bitter orange presence. Golden caramel color. Light palate with a crisp finish. Easy drinking summer beer.
3.7 Bottle 375ml @ Geokkjer Pours hazy deep golden with a white head. Aroma has notes of malt, tart and some fruitiness. Taste is light to medium sweet and medium sour with a long dry, sour and orange finish. Body is medium, texture is thin to oily, carbonation is soft to fizzy
3.5 Bottle. A lightly hazy, golden beer topped by a small, off-white head. The aroma has some orangey notes, with lemon juice, barnyard and a generic funky note. It’s medium bodied, tart and with a pleasant carbonation level. There’s not much mandarin in the flavor either, but it’s the usual lambic flavors that dominates, funky, leathery and lemony. Some faint earthy notes. Lasting funky finish with funkyness. Easy drinkable and tasteful this one. 150808
3.8 Bottle. Pours golden with an off-white head. Aroma of malt, fruitiness, funk, some barnyard and orange. Flavor is sweet and sour with some orange, funk, some acid and malt. Medium body, average carbonation.
4.1 Sour funky, orange pour, taste tart and somewhat sour apple. Floral notes as well. Very light carbonation. Very well done.
3.7 Clear golden color with little foam crown at the glass. Quite funky sour smell that is quite lambic-like. The taste is delightful sour, but only a little citrus fruity. Dry and sourish taste. Not as convincing as other spontan beers but still good.
4.1 Golden color with small white head. Nice funk, really on lambic-levels. Taste is sour and dry, with the fruit coming through rather late, but then it is present. Dry finish, very sour. Soft, but present carbonation. Fantastic. One of my favourites from the spontan series.
4.5 375ml bottle from, I think, Brewdog.com. Fruity lambic aroma. Taste is perfectly tart, not a massive amount of mandarin coming through initially, more clarity on the finish really. Still a lovely, refreshing, fruity, tart sour. Lovin this Spontan series so far!
(Rating #6369)
3.8 [4/27/15] Draught at Mikkeller Bar in Copenhagen. Hazy golden. Lovely funky and citrusy aroma. Sour flavor, funky, with oak and citrus. Medium-bodied. Delicious.
3.7 May 23, 2015. Bottle at home, best before may 28, 2024. Clear dark golden with a small frothy off-white head. Aroma is funky, orange zest, mandarin juice, grass, green apples, slight earthy. Taste is tart citrusy, funky, grassy with a dry citrusy, grassy and funky finish. Medium bodied, soft to average carbonation.

3.7 On tap at Mikkeller The Original. Hazy golden with a small white head. Funky aroma with a light fruity touch. Fruity and tart flavour with a good complex funk.
3.7 (Draught) cloudy medium orange with fine white bubbles on the edge. Nose of mandarin orange, peel and all, earth, lacto, tart fruit. Taste of earth, mandarin peel, funky bugs, barrel. Quite carbonated and dry.
3.4 Bottle @ home. Hazed orange pour with some white foam. Slight sulfur to it, lot of orange, zesty oranges, and grass. Pretty musty and some oak. A lot of herbal qualities. The flavor is pretty sour and citrusy. Light acetic quality, green apple, and lemon juice. A lot of oak and musty dunk. Maybe some grape.
3.9 Tap. Hazy orange color, almost no head. Aroma is lemon, acidic, some funky and sweet citrus notes. Tasty is medium to strong sour, lemon, grass and yeast.
4.0 Tap@Mikkeller Bar, Copenhagen - golden orange coloured pour with small white bubbly head. Aroma and taste combines prominent orange, some lemon and grassy nuances, nice balance of citric sweetness and sour factors, light yeast, some citric peel spice towards the finish. Very enjoyable. Lovely.
4.3 Duft bevislig funk, frugt sødme. Smag. CitruS behagelig funk med citruS smag en smule bitter alla bitterhed fra appelsin skal
2.7 Bottle (2013) at Redlight Redlight the night before RBWG 2015 shared by Travlr, thanks Gene! Clear straw yellow with off-white head. Aromas of vinegar, orange, bandage, floral notes. Tastes of orange, tart acidic notes, buttered popcorn. Medium-light body with a dry finish. Probably was better fresh without the off flavors.
3.8 Had on hand pump. Pours orangish golden with thick white head. Smell is sour funk, yeast and vinegar. Taste is orange, slightly sour with notes of grapes, white wine and vinegar. Light body, light carb.
3.6 Bottle at Redlight Redlight shared with GenDV138 and jcwattsrugger, cheers! Hazy very pale yellow color. Aroma of stinky feet, umbilicus and fruit. Taste is funky, stinky, sweaty animals gathered around piles io rotted oranges. Really delicious if you like that sort of thing.
4.2 from Erzbierschof Bern - translucide bronze-orange beer with a moderate foam left; cheesy fruity vinegar-like notes with hints of barnyard in the front; notes of tangerines and oranges appear below; juicy, light sticky and full-bodied, very dry and solidly sourish, more long notes of barnyard in the finish still stronger than the fruits
3.5 Slightly cloudy amber pour with small white head. Aroma of citrus, oranges, grapefruit, yeast and sour funk. Taste of yeast, lemony citrus, sweet mandarin orange, lactic sourness, grapefruit rind. Some sweet orange flavour peeking throuh the sourness, very good.
4.0 On tap @ Henrik, Bergen. Clear orange-golden body with a medium white head. Nose is sour lemony tones, straw, hay, lactic sourness, mandarines and hints of red berries and barnyard funk. Taste is tart citric tones, lactic sour notes, hay, bitter herbs, mandarines and hints of barnyard funk and lemon zest. Light body, high carbonation. Really nice and clean lambic with a noticable citric/mandarine profile. Very drinkable.
3.9 Tap at Earl of Essex. Smells good, but difficult to find the fruit. Funky and skunky, citrus. Taste is nice, lots of sourness, with maybe the mandarin hidden in there. Good authentic earthy funkiness. Maybe get more fruit further down, but was very excited about trying this beer, but it’s a little disappointing. Rerate from a 2013 bottle. More fruit it seems. Nice sourness but the mandarin is definitely there. Nice.
4.0 bought up in denver .. shared with some of the Nobi gang .. . orange .. mild foam .. sweet light mouth .. easy mandarin .. nice all around beer .. . . i miss stories before bed..
3.7 Keg at the Earl of Essex - London. Pours clear yellow with a lasting, creamy top. The nose holds grass, rindy lemon, some moldy wood, basement. Light sweet flavor with nice grassy bitterness, some ripening lemon and tangerine, dry wood. Medium to full bodied with average, active carbonation. Nicely balanced finish with present funk, more bitter grass, old wood, citrus rind, lightly tangy lemon. Good stuff.
3.8 Bottle. Pours slightly hazy orange with a shortlasting big bubbly white head. Aromas of green apples, orange peel, mandarin, some floral notes, vinegar. Taste is pretty tart up front, green apples, orange peel, some darker ripe orangey notes, vinegar, some funkyness. Sadly I’m not getting very longlasting flavours right now. Runny nose is runny. Still tastes really refreshing and clean.
3.9 Pours a slightly hazy gold from the bottle with minimal ring of bubbly white head that leaves no real lacing. Aroma is funky yeast overlying a sweet caramel maltiness in the middle and a citrus back end. Taste follows with a bigger citrus sour and less of the sweetness. Lactic tart finish, slight bubbly carbonation, very nice, but not the best in the series for me yet.
