4.0Aroma of funk, sour red berries, and slight oak. Flavor has tons of sour red currants, funk and oaky vanillaness. Delicious, very moreish.
3.6375 ml bottle. Pours a dark mahogany with moderate head. Aromas of red vinegar and currants. Flavors of dry red currants, cranberries and bitter dark fruit.
3.8Tap@Mikkeller Bar, Copenhagen - pours reddish amber with white pinkish head. Sour fruity aroma and taste, with prominent redcurrant, acidic, grapes, light vinegar, wood, funky, light floral, fruit stones, tart on the palate, dry tart finish. Lovely
4.0Tap at MIkkeller. Jam, tart, sour fruity, rich, very nice. Good stuff. Last beer in Denmark for this trip. Nice finish.
3.5Bottle purchased at Crafted Drafts. Clear reddish amber in color with a medium off-white head. Aroma of funk, lacto sourness and tart fruit. Flavor starts with tart fruit and moves to a smooth maltiness before a sour, yet thin finish.
3.77 July 2015, bottle. pink/orange, clear. nose is dry, woody, tart, with red fruit and some lilacs. thin body and mildly fizzy. very dry, woody fruit pits, tart red fruit. very good.
4.3Draft. Aroma is sour yeast. Appearance is red with no head. Taste is very sour with some lemon zest almost. Plate is way sour. Overall, a really good sour and I wish I could buy a bottle.
3.9Tap @ Mikkeller & Friends. Light bronze pour with tiny lacings. Nose has tart currants and cranberries. Taste is tart, light acidic, leather, cranberries and currants.
3.5Tap att Mikkeller Viktoriagade. Pretty similar to all other beers from the Spontan-series. Pours reddish golden, nose is sweet toffee, berries, light funk, taste is acidic, tart berry, dry finish. Can’t sense the redcurrants, but it is a decent beer.
3.7375 ml bottle. Pours a slightly veiled coppery pink with a short lived white head. Aroma is red currant, sour, oldish, funky. Flavor is oldish, jungle, funky and red currants. Finish is very sour and tart, dusty, oldish. Lingering pepper aroma. Medium body, average carbonation. Pretty solid!
5.0Great lambic, the sour currant and berry flavors along with the brettanomyces funk and the souring bacteria. Extremely dry, carbonated taste that has a mouth puckering sourness after the finish. It also packs a decent punch for a lambic at 7%
3.5375ml bottle. Orangey red-tinged amber colour, foamy white head leaving lacing and aroma of citrus rind, funk, berry fruity. Taste is tart citric, fruity, with vinegar and funky notes. Oily mouthfeel, medium bodied, medium carbonation, sour finish with some hay notes. Quite drinkable.
3.6Bottle at Ash’s. Pours reddish golden, nose is sweet toffee, berries, light funk, taste is acidic, tart berry, dry finish.
3.7Very spritzy, tart nose with a touch of acetic acid, citrus. Palate crisp with a sour snap. Tart with a good hit of lactic acid, a touch of red berry sweetness and a dry finish. Very refreshing, crazy drinkable.
3.6Murky rich orange, no head. Decent vanilla berry creamy sweetness. Rich tartness, more of a kick from the fruit than any of the others. Earthy, crunchy fruit. Finishes long and lean sweetness.

3.6Bottle from someone.
Appearance - amber-orange with a thin head.
Nose - light redcurrant but generally vinegar note.
Taste - not much fruit at all. Really vinegar again,
Palate - long and tight in structure, Very compact.
Overall - very close to the geuze.
3.2Bottle at Ashton McCobb’s. Pours hazy red gold with a thin white head. Aromas of red fruit, light sour. Taste is light sweet, sherbet, light fruit, vinegar. Acidic finish.
3.6Pours clear reddish copper with a finger of off-white head. Aroma of red berries (redcurrant, wild strawberries, raspberries), light sweet cherry, almond icing. Taste is medium fruit tart with a slightly funky side note. Astringent finish. Body is light and crisp with average carbonation.
3.7pours cloudy dark golden with a very nice off-white head showing good retention and lacing. berries, pink pepper - very peppery in fact, herbal-grassiness, little bit of funk, firmly tart - citric currants/cranberries - relatively linear. bright carbonation, light body; dry citric and bitter grass-peppery finish. just a tad linear probably from the use of the fruit - from its intrinsic qualities that is. but clearly enjoyable with a low yet appreciable level of funk.
4.2Looks.. Amber, ruby tinge, sml head.
Smells..unripe green apples, lemon, some currant and decent farmyard dank..
Tastes..red fruits and green apple, lemon and lime citrus, lingering fresh berry fruitiness amongst the yeasty dank. Sensational!
3.6Pours bright orange with a hint of crimson, big thick white head. Nose is pretty light fruits. Taste is sour, not overly, tart, lemon, apple and red fruits. Solid beer.
3.9Lambicy sour smell with currant notes. Rosé color with slow decaying foam. Sour taste with red currant tastes with a little aggressive sour bite in the finish. The fruit addition comes a little bit short compared to the overwhelming sourness. Nevertheless an awesome beer.
3.8Draft at ChurchKey, 11/1/14
Notes aren’t as detailed as I would like. Sweet and fruity, somewhat sour, a little funky, and a little wood. This one worked pretty well.
3.6Pours a salmon pink with a small white head that leaves good lacing. Nose is of fruits, wet hay, some smelly feets. Subdued funk. Taste is of sour red fruits and dry. Cranberries or other sour berries for sure. Body is light to medium and carbonation moderate. Overall a good one, not a great one. Pretty acidic and puckering and a little over the top. Could use more genuine fruit flavors.
4.2Incredibly tart and sour which is really what I want in a beer of this style. What I love about Mikkeller products is you are always going to get something interesting. This one ROCKS MY BOAT TOTALLY. It will be too acidic and sour for many people but for me oh it’s the bomb. A totally great sour ale which is lip-smackingly wonderful and one which pokes at you for ages. The after-taste is incredibly lingering. Fantastic use of redcurrants. TOP WORK.
