3.7 A great dark spicy habanero beer, i thjnk, but it is full and still balanced. maly velky prague. May 2017 3.8. I downgrade to 3.7
3.9 Pours thick black with two finger, dark tan head. Aroma is heavy cocoa, roast, molasses and light pepper. Taste is rich dark chocolate and brown sugar, moving to roast and some pepper heat. Finish is roast. A very good porter.
4.2 On tap in the Big Smoke. Black and tan. Chocolate coffee roasted malts and chilli aroma. Lovely thick mouthfeel, nice warmth from the smoky chilli - Devine!
3.4 Bottle, as Mikkeller Chipotle Porter, big bubbly mocha head, extremely deep brown color, aroma of brown bread and dark malts with a metallic hint, flavor of dark chocolate, bread and malts with an ashy hint and a light hot peppery kick at the end. Nice but much too sweet.
3.4 13.04.19, butelka z datą do 1.10.22 Aromat mało wyrazisty, trochę palony, trochę kawowy.
4.3 Bottle from @wseyffer in San Jose, CA. Aroma is dark chocolate, earthy pepper, ash, some jerky. Taste is wet chocolate, ashy cocoa, even medium spicy pepper throughout. Extremely well balanced and the spicy pepper is flawlessly executed.
4.0 Bottle at home as Mikkeller Chipotle Porter. Black body with a medium brown head. Chocolate, roasted malt, coffee notes, slight chilli prickling in the mouth. Not to much chilli which is good. Very balanced.
3.9 Tap (HENRY & SALLY’S - Mikkeller, Oslo). Roasty, coffee, a little bit spicy but smooth in overall. Nice porter, gentle at the begining and agressive at the finish.
4.0 Bottle. Malty aroma, dark chocolate, coffee, roasty notes. Tastes the same as aroma, light sweet, medium bitter. Full body, malty bitter sweet finish with light chilly notes. Good.
4.0 Dark brown opaque, beige head. Aroma: vinous, malty, molasses. Perfect balance between sweetness, acidity and hot spiciness. Full body. Flavour: roasted malt, fortified wine, some dark bread. Very intense and tasty.
3.8 330ml bottle shared with Boiko and Robert at Beer King. Calls itself a Porter on the bottle, and despite being categorized here as a S/H/V, a Porter is what it really is. Pours opaque with a frothy and mousse-like head that soon settled to a surface mist, heavy lacing but no visible rising carbonation. Very dark brown in colour. On the nose, buttered toast, mildly burnt caramel. In the mouth, medium carbonation, slight chili at first but building right through into the aftertaste, plenty of caramel malt, molasses and toasted rye bread, thick texture, sweetness throughout with a long finish. Overall, a thick, rich spicy Porter.
4.0 (malt grillé, > onctueuse, amère-fast, ~café, ~piquante (ad), belle texture (6,6), fin creamy-choco, alcool-pimenté)
3.7 15 December 2018. Black Beer Fest, Ieper. Cheers to Anke, Erwin & Ama Deke! As Mikkeller Chipotle Porter. What's with the alias? Cloudy black with a lasting, small, foamy, dark beige head; little lacing. Aroma of jalapeño, red bell pepper, fondant, coffee roast, grapefruit, lemon peel. Taste is light malty sweet, some toast & nuts, quickly pushed aside by a medium spicy bitterness, jalapeño & (bell) pepper already popping up; leaving room though for hoppy notes of grapefruit, lemon & orange, faintly chocolatey too. Persistent spiciness in the dry, peppery hoppy finish, black pepper-like effect, subtle toast, chili burn in the mouth & throat. Medium body, creamy texture, soft carbonation. Chili works well here, I'm all for spiced food and I can manage it but I can't enjoy this for more than just a few sips.
3.8 Van 't vat als Mikkeller Chipotle Porter. Zwart bier met veel licht bruin schuim. Geur: geroosterde mout, wat donker fruit, ietwat chocolade. Smaak: pittig prikkelende peper, licht zoet, rood fruit, iets aards, vleugje chocolade. Matige koolzuurprikkel. Afdronk: lang, prikkelend peperig. Best aangenaam.
3.0 On tap at Søernes Ølbar as Chipotle Porter. Taste is smoke, burnt red peppers, sweet chilli and in some way the chilli stuff you can add to your durum in your local kebab shop in Copenhagen. Never tried anything like this.
3.7 Fra flaske som Mikkeller Chipotle Porter. Sort med højt beige skum. Svag aroma af kaffe og chili. Smager bittert af kaffe, chili og malt. Ristet feel. Den bliver langsomt brændende og lever op til sit navn. Jeg vil foretrække en mere diskret dosering af chipotle.
3.5 Bottle from Tienda de la Cerveza. Pours dark brown. Nose is mostly chilli, after a few sniffs your nose adjusts and you also get toast and chocolate. Taste is quite similar, the spiciness is the first thing you taste, toast and chocolate with coffee and some dried cherry coming in when trying to focus on the non spicy stuff. Quite good, but I wouldn't be able to drink a lot of it due to my aversion of spiciness.
3.8 On bottle @Ølfred - Aarhus Streetfood. Pours black, with brown head. Scent: Roasted, chocolate. Taste: Chocolate, chili, malts. Texture: Oily/creamy.
3.6 Black color, small dark brown head. Aromas of licorice, brown sugar, roasted malt, chocolate and chipotle. Taste of chipotle, roasted malt, coffee and licorice. Lingering chili burn.
4.4 From tap as Mikkeller Chipotle Porter at Mikeller CPH Airport with KL and MOA 25.09.18 with Sarah Vaughan singing as background music. Dark brown. Fine brown head and lacing. Excellent aroma and taste of fresh coffee, chili, dark chocolate and oak. Chili is lingering on.
3.7 Ma biedną pianę. Jest czarne. Aromat papryczek i mlecznej czekolady. W smaku słodko-ostre. Czekolada deserowa i chili. Piecze. Nagazowanie w stronę niskiego. Po czasie wyszło trochę kawy.
3.6 Draft, Caribou, Galway, Ireland. Dark with off white head, looks more stout than porter. Coffee & Chipotle taste but spice is too much on my throat. Want to love but can’t finish
3.5 Draft at the Oslo Bar in Galway. Almost black with a creamy, beige head. Aroma is chipotle and coffee, but not overly strong. Taste is bitter with a spicy edge, full of coffee. The peppery spice prevails at the end. Medium body, sticky. Good in small doses.
3.8 Aromat średnio-intesnywny, gorzka gęsta czekolada z nutką papryki. W smaku słodkie, dużo czekolady, gorzkiej, kakao, z mocnym ale nie przegiętym paleniem na finiszu.
4.0 Wow. Vilkelig en god og spændende øl. Købt som Mikkeller Chipotæe Porter. Dej frisk smag.
3.9 Smell of chocolate, coffee. Very dark brown colour, high dark brown head. Aroma of coffee, cocoa, some chili hotness in finish. Also roasted malt. Mildly bitter, mildly sweet, finishes hot. Soft carbon. Ashy dry palate. Very nice, chili is strongly present but not dominating.
3.8 Zapach intensywny, paloność, czekolada, kakao, suszona papryka, przyprawy. Kolor czarny, nieprzejrzyste. Piana beżowa, średnio obfita, drobna, trwała, zdobi szkło. W smaku umiarkowana słodycz, średnia pełnia, czekolada, kakao, lukrecja, paloność, suszone owoce, chili. Goryczka niska, wysycenie niskie.
4.1 Cold coffee and chocolate. Some licorice. The spice needs some looking for at first, but builds up. Glorious combination.
3.0 Black color. Pours with thick light brown head. Aroma is very sweet, a lot o coffee, bit earthy, some kakao. Taste at the beginning is bit sweet, then comes prober bitternes and it get spicy, very spicy. Taste is as the arome beside the spicyness. Drinkable but too much chili for my taste.
