4.0 Not much aroma in the nose, but you get an experience of your life in the taste!
Woody Hot! Very late, very warm & very WINEY🍄 🥂✨😀!!! 20???
4.0 75cl bottle @ Chez Sophie tasting, Dec 2016. Pours a very deep, dark purple. small pink head. Aroma of vibrant blueberries, bristling sour. Taste is crisp, not overly sour, but plenty of the promised juicy blueberries alongside a tame lactic expression. Good stuff.
3.8 Bottle during Mikkeller massive bottle share; purple pour with a thin pink head, aroma has quite a fruity action, taste has black cherries, sour cherries, vimto,
3.9 Cloudy, reddish-brown color. Aroma: sour, berries, blueberries. Taste: sour, blueberry, fruity, refreshing, pleasant.
4.2 750 ml bottle. Fruity, wild, a bit flanders-like (red fruits, dry red wine), strong barrel notes, tart, not too sour. A really nice one.
4.2 Pours purple, mauve head. Nose shows funk, elderflower, lemon rind, blueberry, vanilla. Flavours include a massive sourness, heavy blueberry, lemon zest.
4.1 750 ml bottled into tulip glass, best before 2024. Pours hazy dark ruby red/purple color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and fluffy pink head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of huge tart/tangy/sour blueberry, blackberry, raspberry, cherry, plum, currant, concord grape, lemon, green apple, red wine, oak, wheat, cracker, and bread; with lighter notes of vanilla, pepper, hay, straw, leathery/musty funk, red wine vinegar, and yeast/oak earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of fruity/funky/acidic yeast, blueberries, oak barrel, and moderate pale malt notes; with great strength. Taste of huge tart/tangy/sour blueberry, blackberry, raspberry, cherry, plum, currant, concord grape, lemon, green apple, red wine, oak, wheat, cracker, and bread; with lighter notes of vanilla, pepper, hay, straw, leathery/musty funk, red wine vinegar, and yeast/oak earthiness. Light-moderate fruity/lactic tartness and light yeast/oak spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of tart/tangy blueberry, blackberry, raspberry, cherry, plum, currant, concord grape, lemon, green apple, red wine, oak, wheat, cracker, bread, pepper, hay, straw, light funk/vinegar, and yeast/oak earthiness on the finish for a while. Awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/funky/acidic yeast, blueberries, oak barrel, and moderate pale malt flavors; with an awesome malt/tart/sour/spiciness balance, and zero puckering flavors after the finish. Light-moderate dryness from tart/sour/spiciness and carbonation, increasing through the glass. Medium-high carbonation and medium-plus body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready/grainy/acidic, fairly crisp, and lightly tannic/sticky balanced mouthfeel that is awesome. Zero warming alcohol for 7.7%. Overall this an outstanding fruit lambic. All around awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/funky/acidic yeast, blueberries, oak barrel, and moderate pale malt flavors; very smooth, crisp, and easy to drink with the balanced lactic/tannic finish. Huge fruit presence and great Brett/Lacto complexity; all supported by a nice malt backbone. Never overly sweet. A highly enjoyable offering.
4.0 URUS 3.0 Aroma: barnyard, blueberries, some redcurrant Taste: medium to heavy sour, barnyard, blueberries, redcurrant
4.3 Pite na URUSie. Fajny aromat stajni i owoców. Smak bombarduje świetną stajnią przełamaną owocami. Wchodzi jak woda. Genialne piwo.
4.2 Backlog, ocena przepisana z untappd, w ramach uzupełniania profilu na ratebeer. Wytrawne, dzikie. Kremowe, zaskakująco dużo ciała. Bardzo intensywne borówkowo-jagodowe i jogurtowe klimaty.
3.9 75cl Bottle @ 2D2Dspuma Tienda, Barcelona, Spain. Redish amber colour with pink head. Aroma is malt, blueberry, tart, vinegar. Taste is blueberry, sour, oak, citrus, red wine. Medium body, lively carbonation.
4.4 Sample from a big bottle at Beer Station on 26/3/16. Pours ruby red with a thin head. Aroma of sour fruit. Lambic taste.
3.8 Not an over the top sour, its all about balance, some funk an a slight fruity underbelly. Nothing like you would think a collaboration between these two would produce. Fun, zesty, but not in the top tier.
3.8 Draft at MBCP 2017. Pour is crazy purple with a neon dark purple head. Awesome looking. Aroma is lightly tart with fruitiness. Initial taste is moderately sour with some woody tannin flavors. Sourness isn’t overpowering but not getting a significant blueberry flavor either. Some general fruitiness and berry but I guess blueberries are kind of bland anyway. Solid beer.
4.1 Bottle - pours purple pink head - nose/taste of blueberry, oak, funk and tartness - medium body
4.3 Bottle. Purple pour with pink head. Notes are tart, oak, wine and blueberry aromas. Flavors are blueberry, tart, oak and sweet tones.
4.2 Purple colour, pinkish head. Aroma of vinegar, a bit of blueberry, oak. Taste is medium tart, slightly sweet. Light body, slick texture, average carbonation. Pretty good.
3.9 Purplish with pink head. Aroma is a nice balance of funk, oak, blueberry and vinegar. For Mikkeller the sour pucker is surprisingly restrained. Fruit and oak allowed to shine. Nice, if overpriced.
3.1 Large sample from one of the 75ml bottles at a tutored beer tasting in Chez Sophie, Shrewsbury on 15th Dec 2016. Pink head on this purple coloured beer. Blueberries rule the roost here in both the aroma and taste, a little too sour for my palate, but others in the room were purring: the sour pussies.
5.0 Wow - this rocks - must find more - along with Nogne Kriek, this ale is a revelation.
3.6 On draft. Bluish red. Tart berries. Slight funk. Lots of juice, mild/medium sourness. Wasn’t expecting much but this is surprisingly good.
4.5 Piwo zachwyca bukietem złożonym z borówki, jagód oraz lekkim akcentem octu winnego w tle. W smaku dżem z borówki, ocet winny oraz przyjemny lekki zest cytryny oraz skóra.
4.4 Aroma is blueberry and funk. Appearance is a gorgeous dark purple / red. Not much head retention immediately but lots of visible activity bubbling up in the middle of the glass. It eventually creates a pink ring of foam. Taste is blueberries, oak, barnyard funk, lemon, blackberry, cassis, vinous notes. Palate is medium-thin with a fruity dry finish and some lingering acidity. Overall- Delicious and complex. Very well balanced.
3.8 Bottle and draft samples from recent notes. Pours a hazy amber reddish purple color with a small lavender head. The aroma and flavor have tart blueberry, acidic, mildly funky, pale malts, oak, earth, very drinkable for a FFF sour, nice berry character, the price is the worst part of this one.
4.1 Bottle. Pours deep red with a small, creamy pink head. Aroma has sweet malts, lots of fruit, strawberries, blueberries. Light vinious. Medium carbonation, fine dry and quite creamy mouthfeel. Flavour has fresh fruit, zesty citrus, blueberry fatness, still some strawberry. Fine elegant tartness. A very good sour Ale.
4.7 Pours a clear cherry colour with a light cherry head. Amazing aroma of funk and meadows and vinegar and a nice dose of blueberry/red currant/cherry-like notes. Lovely dry palate, high carbonation. Total bliss!
4.1 On draft at Mikkeller Bar in San Francisco. Deep purple pour with a slight pink head. Massive jammy blueberry nose. Medium level sourness (though I did just come from The Rare Barrel...). Really nice fruity sour with some oak character to balance out any sweetness left over. Quite good.
4.1 Nice collaboration. Aromas of straw, oak, blueberry. Deep purple in color with a bright pink head. Flavors of red wine, oak, tart bluberries. Dry sharp tannins on the palate. Well done.
