3.3 acidité maîtrisée. Pas mal citronnée ... La liste des houblons n’aurait pas été inscrite sur l’étiquette que je ne les aurais pas ressenti ...Efficacement rafraîchissante + arrière bouche sèche.
3.3 Clear golden body with small white ring of tiny bubbles. Very faint aroma of sour grapes with a bit of earthiness. Very tart flavor, almost lemonade sourness. Lemons and grapes with a touch of grass. Nice and refreshing.
3.5 Clear golden colour, white head. Aroma of wood, funk, light white wine, some buttery notes. Light sour flavour, lemon rinds, tart. Woody finish, lemon zest, some nail polish remover. Decent sour ale. (from 375mL bottle @ home)
3.6 OK for the style, a little pedestrian considering the cost. Lemon and funk forward aroma and flavor. Moderately acidic, a little vinegar and just a touch of green olive.
3.7 Bottle, cloudy yellow orange with small to medium head. Sour lemons, oak, orange and other nice funk balance out the smell and taste. Medium body. Better than expected.
3.5 October 17, 2015. Bottle at NK Bar. Clear golden with a small white head. Aroma is minerals, hay, apple skins, lemon, peach and hints of grapes and metallic notes. Taste is light sweet, light to medium sour, slight metallic mineral astringency. Finish is dry, light sweet peach and apples, sour lemon and apple skins, light funk, a bit dry and astringent bitterness. Light to medium bodied, average carbonation, dry and slightly astringent body. Decent but lacks on the funky barnyard notes and it’s a bit too much astringent metallic notes.
4.2 375ml bottle from Brewdog.com. Pours hazy gold with minimal off-white head. Vibrant lambic aroma. Taste is crisp, straw funk with overripe grapes and mild cider vinegar on the finish. Expected more hop character but on the whole this is an interesting, super refreshing gueuze.
0.7 (37.5 cl. BB 30/10/24) Des mots, caramel, mauvais, sirop de maïs, bois, jus de palette….
3.9 Bottle 375ml. Small white layer, a bit hazy green yellow color. Aroma is pineapple, hay, potato, acid. Taste is sour, delight, potato and sour mix.
1.6 (37.5 cl. BB 30/10/24) Robe couleur or ou caramel.
4.2 Very soury, dry, wild, fynky and in aroma as well, poignant, some citrusy notes in the aroma. Interesting.
3.6 750ml bottle thanks to Spence. Pours out a hazy straw topped with a white head. Nose is funk barnyard horse blanket wet wheat and some white grape notes. Taste is more of the barnyard funk grapes and even a little citrus.
3.3 Pours murky straw color. Some funk in the nose. Biting sourness. Strong bitterness of a white grapefruit. Dry sour finish. Overwhelming for my palate.
3.2 750 ml bottle poured a hazy gold with a lingering ring of white foam. Aromas of straw, white grapes, barnyard funk and light yeast. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a dry lightly tart finish. Flavors of straw, fruitiness and light funk with a crisp dry lightly tart lingering fruity finish.
3.6 Bottle from Rehills, Newcastle. Hazy golden coloured with a very sharp lemon and citrus flavour, zesty tart sugary fruit flavours, cider-like notes followed by an extremely dry biscuit and fruit finish.
3.6 Bottle @ home. Ambrata, velata, schiuma beige chiaro, non molto fine poco persistente. Aroma intenso, fruttato agrumato, scorza d’arancia, limone, erbaceo, resinoso, note floreali in secondo piano (gelsomino), vaniglia e legno. Complesso.
3.7 Small S&G tasting. APPEARANCE: clear blond beer, small stable white head. NOSE: like green leafs, fruity, fresh. TASTE: like green leafs, fruity, fresh, little sour, oak, decent.
3.5 tap at Mikkeller, Copenhagen. light hazy golden color. Sour aroma, flavor not as sour as standard geuze, slight bitterness, orange peel in after flavor.
3.4 375ml bottle (Zmogsala 2015, Vilnius) Lovely sweet fruity aroma. Sweeter than a geuze should be, but very nice. Nice sweet body, but witha decent sour lambic bite. Very much not a geuze, but a nice sweet malty ale. Nice apricot hints, and a touch of acidic sourness.
3.6 Draft. Apricot-hued with blurriness throughout. A thin layer of white fuzz becomes a thin ring quickly. Odd aroma: vinegar paired with grass, horsey funk with lemon peel. Peach and pear are noticeable atop a splash of Easter egg dye. Lemony tartness stirs the flavor, backed up with minty hops, a bit of barnyard funk, vinegar and light pear syrup. Good fruity sweetness to balance the tart funk. Salty finish. Medium body; moderate fizziness; high, pinching carbonation. Sweeter and hoppier than most gueuzes. Strange but good.
3.3 APPEARANCE - dark yellow color. Fairly turbid. NOSE - sour all the way. Light ambiguous fruit scent comes with it. I’m not getting much hop scents. FLAVOR - solid sour flavor owing to its lambic-ness. Not expecting much hop flavor considering dry hoping, and I’m not disappointed.
3.3 Draft. Golden pour. Not quite what I think of with geuze but has a nice lemony citrus note like a true gueze.
3.6 Draught at Mikkeller Bar. Amber color, white head. Sour/sweet taste with citrus, passion fruit, tart, apple and earthy notes. Sour finish with citrus, passion fruit, tart and earthy notes. Very nice sour.
3.2 Bottle sample at a tasting at Dancing Camel Florentin. Thanks Stas and Max. Hazy gold with white film. Salty with some vomit aroma, very pungent, sour and salty taste with some fruit. Very carbonated, full body, sour finish.
4.2 Bottle. Pours clear orange, medium off-white head, dissipates fairly quickly, good lacing. Aroma is fruity, lemon, oranges, funk, horseblanket, oak, dust, honey, floral. Flavor is light sweet, light tart, citrus and fruity notes along with light funk, lemon, passionfruit. Lightish body, creamy mouthfeel. This is really good.
3.8 Poured from a bottle. Aroma is fairly hoppy with some tropical fruit, citrus and a nice herbal note. Some light stone fruit as well. Moderate, spicy, herbal phenolic notes with some light oak. Low barnyard funk. Pours a hazy, dull golden orange with a bit of a brown hue. Medium sized, medium thick head that recedes quickly to a thin film that lingers for a bit. No lacing and small legs. Flavor is moderately acidic with some nice citrus notes. Some light stone fruit and tropical fruit. Medium light oak. Moderate herbal and hoppy spice notes. Light bitterness. Some light barnyard funk. A nice mineral quality. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium high carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a nice hoppy sour but it’s not super geuze like. Lots of nice herbal qualities and a light barnyard funk. Good mineral qualities. A bit flabby.
3.8 375mL bottle. Hazy golden appearance with an average sized white head. Aroma is of heavy funk, brett, straw, tart, peach skin, and grain. Taste is of funk, acetic acid, tart, hay, citrus.
3.8 Bottle. The smell is tangy, fruit, wood, vanilla, and rustic. The look is clear, copper colored, and has a white head. The taste is dry, hops, fruit, tang, wood.
3.3 Bottle supplied by Eric S. Color is an clear orange/ Amber without any kind of head at all. Aroma is yogurt, faint rotten apple, mild funky yeast. The flavor shows me weak lemon, funky yeast that gives the sour and tartness you would expect. Not really finding hops in the aroma or flavor. If you really reaching to find the hops maybe a light floral hint after the funky yeast. But that is really stretching it. Well... I don’t hate it and this is not a style I ever seek out.
