3.6 Bottle 33cl from Mikkeller Christmas calendar. Pours clear amber, off white head. Toffee, hops, caramel, tart aroma. Bitter, flowery hops, caramel flavor
Goryczka niska, wysycenie wysokie, posmak dziki, trochę cytrusowy.
3.8 God, velsmagendde og spændende belgisk strong ale. Masser af fylde. Tilpas sødme og bitterhed.
2.8 330ml bottle (thanks suurjuust). Clear dark amber color. Huge size, thick beige head, stays. Farmhouse, funky, fruity in aroma. Mint, funky, farmhouse, aspirin pill in taste. Aspirin and funky farmhouse in aftertaste. Fizzy carbonation. Harsh bitterness. Happens.
3.2 330ml bottle. Clear copper pour, big white head. Kinda bretty nose, citrus notes, sugar, malt. Flavor is hop and brett, with vague sugary belgian notes. Finish is more belgian with esters and sugar. Leaves lips somewhat sticky.
3.8 Bottle. Orange, clouded, abundant white foam. Aroma: citrus, candy, sweet, light spice, berries, bretts. Taste: sweetish, fruit, bretts, candied, bitter, slightly aspirin, alcoholic.
3.9 Two fingers white head. Aroma is sweet and intensive. White and red fruits, spices, funky notes, caramel. Taste is also sweet but less complex than the aroma. Red fruits, some spices, caramel, without funky accents. Love grapefruit bitter. Medium carbonation. Good one.
2.9 Bottle (from SIP). Pours amber with beige head. Aroma is sweet and massive brett, fruits. Flavor is sweet and bitter, fruits, brett, citrus, sugar, burnt notes. Finish is sugary and dry with some booze. Overall: love the brett, but rest of the beer is kind of meh (without brett, this would be ~2.5 or so).
3.5 Bottle 0.33l from Mikkeller Advent Calendar 2017. Thanks zeno for this amazing gift. Taste at Amsterdam, The Netherlands. 22.12.2017. Pour it dark orange color with big white head. Aroma stinky garbage. Taste sweet smooth yeasty note, sour apples, bitter hoppy feel just in a trace, ok balanced, but nothing to blow your mind, just another Belgian kind of a beer, lightly bitter, medium body, slick feel, lively, astringent.
3.4 Bottle shared at a drinking session with Višnja 666 and Pilot Goran in the summer of 2017. Thanks! Hazy amber, small to a medium off-white head. Yeast, citrus and floral aromas. Very fresh. Light sour, dry. Refreshing, alcohol hidden, light finish. Not impressive.
Seca. Muy buen homenaje a la Orval.
3.6 Mocno słodowo-drożdżowe z dodatkiem amerykańskich chmieli. Sporo chleba, w aromacie faktycznie trochę dzikości. W smaku pojawiają się jakieś takie mocno ususzone owoce.
3.8 Bottle. Pours a dark opaque red with a lasting thick bubbly off white head. Aroma is of red berries, light spice, hint of hibiscus, caramel, funky. Taste is of red berries, dark grapes, funky, slightly acidic, light spice.
3.9 Bottle pours golden with a white head. Aroma of spice, funk and some grass. Taste is spicy yeast and fruit
3.4 From tap at Salon Piva, Bratislava. Nearly clear amber color with a slightly beige white head. The aroma reminds me a little bit of a Barley Wine, pretty malty, biscuit, toasted bread, honey, butter, slightly yeasty, some funk, lightly hoppy. Medium to full body with a light to medium sweetness and a light to medium bitterness. The flavor is light to medium malty (bread, biscuit) and medium hoppy (pine, resin). Aroma: 7 Appearance: 4 Taste: 7 Palate: 4 Overall: 12
3.7 On tap at Salón piva 2018 Aroma of barley, sour, clear amber colour with small white head. Taste of hops, raisins, sour, medium bitterness. Finish is sour and bitter. Nice one
3.9 Pours nice amber, sticky white foam. Brett nose with some yeasty funk and hoppy apple marmalade. Taste displays a sturdy body, that has been made lighter with brett and this funky-just-a-bit-sour-but-quite-bitter flavour. Feels like a funky brett barleywine, sturdy and hoppy. Dry brett bitterness in the finish, quite enjoyable actually.
3.4 Tap ay Pokhoi. Hazy colour with stable huge head off. Aroma of yeasts, sour. Taste of yeasts, moderate sourness, apples, moderate bitterness.
3.9 Very nice Brett in the nose. Taste is a nice balance between hops, Brett-yeast. The Brett is there but not on the fore. Creamy palate.
3.5 Some taste of bittersweet fruits, strong bitter foundation, amber/red colour, citrusy hoppy bretty smell. An interesting one timer, but wouldn’t go crazy for another round.
4.3 Bottle, 11.2 fl.oz. Home. A sparkling mahogany amber clear beer with a big off-white foamy head ; good retention and lacing. Citrus, resin, herb, tropical fruits, "cider". Medium dry bitter, light warming, light sweet, light acid, light fresh. Medium body, light to medium texture, average good carbonation, dry warming acid finish. Overall, delicious, such a strong exotic Orval ; maybe slightly too strong after all...
4.1 Tap Takeover Mikkeller. Sorpresa. Me ha parecido muy compleja. Algo lupulada, algo de levadura belgas... La apunto para probarla más tranquilamente.
3.3 Bottle from mikkeller and friends bottleshop. Pours golden orange, white head Aroma of sour peach. Citrus Taste bitter sweet, slight sour. Grains. Round taste
3.5 Fat @Mikkeller Haven. Bärnstensfärgad öl med inslag av rött. Smutsvitt skum. Doft av stall och övermpgen frukt. I smaken tar bretten inte lika mycket plats utan fruktighet och humlighet tar över.
3.8 A very nice beer. Nice hops, very well balanced, good flavors. Not too Belgian and I’m surprised to see the addition of brett - I didn’t think this came through at all. Just a nice strong beer with a very balanced body. Strong flavors in the best places.
2.8 Backlog, ocena przepisana z untappd, w ramach uzupełniania profilu na ratebeer. Karmelowo-słodkie, ciężkie, sporo alkoholu, delikatnie apteczne klimaty.
4.1 Hazy amber colour, big white rocky head. Good retention. Funky nose. Also fruit, floral hops, perfume, honey. Medium to full body. The taste combines light honey sweetness, wild yeast, fruitiness, light hoppy spicy bitterness. Complex one. Good. -- rated with beerbasher/winphone
3.7 Bottle - 330ml. Beautiful hazy amber body with an average off-white, foamy head. Interesting malty/hoppy taste with spicy, spruce, and flowery hints. Alcohol is well hidden. Its sharp malty/hoppy taste carries oaky, yeasty (brett), and sour berries notes. Ends with a long bitter/sour finish. Good stuff, a bit out of the beaten path.
