2.412 ounce bottle from 2005. Pours a murky golden yolk color with a thin white head that slowly fades. Aroma is of yeast, fruit and some malt. Similar taste. Smooth, creamy body. Easy to drink and rather enjoyable. A shame that they don’t still produce this, as it would be worth getting again.
2.312 ounce bottle courtesy of Skyview. Is this really a four year old bottle? Hopefully they made more than one batch and its a little fresher than that. Pours a hazy straw color with an anemic soda-like head. Aroma is toasted grain, bread and apples. Taste is apples and toasted grain. Lightly tart note in the end. Thin-medium bodied and a bit syrupy. Different. Not really good, but different.
2.8Not gonna get my panties in a wad and say that this was the greatest thing ever, but it wasn’t half bad. It actually had a deflection from the metallic macro shit you usually get from these big brewers. I commed Miller for doing something like this, BRAVO!
2.3Bottle. An exceptionally good retro-brew. Had alot of the characteristics of of early american brew. Would like to try this one again because its been a wile since i had thai last.
2.8Came across this beer at a steal... $5/24 bottles. Some friends and I immediately bought an entire pallet, and while it was delicious at first we certainly got tired of it after a month or so. I’d like to see Miller bring it back so I can try it on a smaller scale.
2.5Thanks to Bob for the bottle. Poured clear, brighter golden with a short-lived cap of white head. The aroma picked up sweeter pale malts, corn, and honey.. dry wheaty and herbal notes surrounding.. really quite pleasant. The flavor was on par.. pale malts and honey at the core surrounded by dry, grainy hay-like bitterness.. finished short with more of the hay and a sprinkle of honey. Light-bodied and crisp on the palate with nice balance.. never watery. This was by all means a pleasant offering.
3.0Probably my favorite american macro lager, too bad it was a special release. Miller should consider bringing this one back.
2.0Hazy blond color. Paper aroma. Poor flavor, a bit soapy and perfumy. Interrogation.
2.2Bottle. A golden beer with a white head. Sweet malty aroma and a sweet malty, light straw taste. Light body with a sweet dry finish.
2.5(Bottle 35,5 cl) Courtesy of Skyview. Slightly hazy golden with a white head. Clean and somewhat sweet malt nose. Medium body with lightly sweet malt accents and almost no bitterness. Quite drinkable though. 171107
2.9Bottled. Ahazy golden beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet and very fruity with light notes of over ripe fruit and spices. The flavor is has notes of over ripe fruit, fresh peaches, and alcohol, leading to a dry metallic and dusty finish.
2.2Had this beer on 2/20/2006. Aroma is a light, slightly sour malt scent. Color is a bright gold with good carbonation and a nice head. Taste is light and crisp. Starting with a light body it goes down easy with a crisp feel. Finish is light with a gentle malt flavor and mild bitterness. Overall I feel its better then most Pale Lagers but not as good as there High Life.
2.0A tad better than some other Miller brews but overall, a typical US macro. Yellow pour, lots of carbonation and metal. This one was more of a marketing campaign than an attempt to revive an old recipe.
2.1Poured light gold with hints of wheat. Tastes of malt and hops and not much else. Pretty watered down and basic.
2.3Picked up a few bottles from my contacts at SABMiller. It’s past it’s "pull date" but still drinkable. Pours a pale light golden brew with a small white head. Aroma of sweet popcorn, a hint of straw and very light grass hops. Taste is light crisp and a clean finish. Not much in hop aftertaste but would make an excellent summer light beer.
2.1Thanks to Skyview for sharing. Brigh yellow color with faint white head. Faint corn noas with a sweet corn body. Good for a lager, no skunk and some decent flavor.
1.8POurs a light golden yellow, with little to no head. Super faint corn on the nose. Not a terrible flavor, not bad for a pale lager. Decent light corn and straw.
2.0Drank this about a year ago so I’m rating this from my notes. Poured a pale yellow, had a herby smell to it, tasted bland. Overall a blatant attempt to cash in
0.9Bottle. Poured a somewhat hazy golden yellow with a large, foamy head that faded quickly. Aromas of... corn. Alcohol. Water. Taste is extremely bland, basically a slightly more tasty pale lager. Not terrible, as there is much worse out there, but the flavor department must have been closed that day.
2.6The aroma was lightly spicy when first poured through the tall white head. A bit of spicy character remained after the head dropped back and a light sweetness was also present. The beer poured crystal clear pale straw with a moussy and fluffy white head that lasted very well to lace the glass. The flavor was crisp with a light bit of fruitiness and a very light hop spice. The bittering balanced the malt presence well, yet the malt somehow left a sweet impression during consumption. The sweetness did not seem to be caramel, more corn-like in nature. The body was medium light and with the high carbonation level the beer was just almost creamy in the mouthfeel. The finish eventually went dry and the aftertaste was only a hint of lightly spicy hops. Not a bad beer at all, not overly interesting, but one I would have again. 12 ounce bottle.
1.0i definatly was hoping for more when i found this. vary light tasting beer and dry tasting
1.912 oz. bottle. Golden color with tons of white head. Very light, dry taste with average carbonation. Not bad by Miller standards.
3.1A pleasent surprise. Decent smooth flavor. Hint of extra hops. Worth a taste now and then.
1.7Unbelievable for a special edition. Undrinkable. Not even as hoppy or flavorful as Miller Lite.
2.1Fairly bright clear golden beer with bright white head. This quaint industrial product smells like sweet generic grain ferment, if not faintly vinegary. Mouthfeel is interesting- viscous and velvety beyond my expectation, but taste is not much to speak of. Like other things you’d find at a frat party, It’s soulless and cheap, but it goes down easy. $0.99/12oz
2.9I bought this beer to hav something different and it wasn’t a disappointment. It was by no means one of the better beers that I have had but it was also by no means one of the worst. It has a good bit more flavor than Miller Lite.
1.8One of the better miller products. garnered almost a 2 rating from me! Fizzy, golden, adjuncts galore with a faint hop presence
2.0A golden lager with a thick creamy white head, dissipating quickly. A lightly sulfured corn adjunct aroma. In mouth, a lightly sweet beer, crisp, with some decent german hops, not overly bad, but not memorable. Happy 150th b-day, you crooks! Bottle bought in Postdam, NY, Spring 2006. The rest goes into my ham pot for dinner.
2.1Good sized fluffy white head. Light carbonation. Head reduces quickly. Aroma is typical of a pale lager. Corn, rice and a bit of skunky hops. Medium gold in color. Flavor is light and crisp and really not all that bad. I could actually drink some of these, as a replacment for water. Goes down real smooth and easy. Little bit of malts. Not much corn flavor which is a good thing. Some cardboard though. Finish is a little dry with minimal bitterness. Better that your average mass produced swill.
2.3This was a beer that was produced to celebrate Millers 150th anniversary. I really liked the beer and was hoping that it would be made on a regular basis. It had good balance which made it very drinkable on a hot summer day.
