3.7 Tap at CBB. Nose of brown sugar, chocolate, some caramel, coffee. Shiny black with a low, thick, head. Big coffee, vanilla, caramel, brown sugar, chocolate. Rich and sweet, and a bit syrupy and boozy. Nice but I prefer the regular.
3.9 Bottle, 650 ml from Beergium shared with rest of the guys at grand tasting 11/2016. Pours black with medium off-white to light brown head. Roasted malts, chocolate, coffee. Creamy texture, medium sweetness and bitterness. Medium to full bodied.
3.8 @ Basunen 17-1-21: stor doft av kaffesump. Fyllig smak med toner av kaffe, söt vanilj och lite aska. Mycket fin.
3.9 From bottle. Pours a dark brown reddish clear with a small off white head. Aroma has coffee, fruity coffee, coconut, waffers, dark chocolate, milk chocolate. Taste is very light roasty bitter, caramel sweet, toasty, light coffee. Full body and a low carbonation.
4.0 Aroma is dark malty with licorice and roasted coffe up front. A lightly burned sensation coming through as well. Taste is delicious coffee roast without being annoying, some ashes or soot. The oatmeals in here gives you a pretty smooth and polished effect despite the rather hard first attack of coffee, and also lets a sweeter taste shine for a while before the bitterness kicks in. It’s not super-thick, almost bordering a little thin actually. It doesn’t matter though, ’cause the coffe flavors are great
4.0 Coffee roast aromas dominate. Like its base beer in terms of malts but has the molasses sweetness and coffee roasts bumped up by a huge margin. Top all of those flavors off with a kick of booze, too. Full-bodied and smooth.
3.2 Modern times mega black house - w aromacie owoce, paloność, karmel. Smak słodki, palony, cukrowy, popioł i słabe ciało. Coś nie wyszło
3.2 Panel #6 Rami Rami is drinking a Mega Black House by Modern Times Beer at Chmielarnia MarszałkowskaKarmel, przyprawy, cukier, dopiero pozniej stoutowa strona... a, i ciut szamponu ;) niezawiele ciala... Ocena potraktowana skryptem do przeliczania ocen (uzgodnienie UT/RB).
3.1 Skręca w belgijskie klimaty. Lukrecja, kawa, niestety bardzo mocna paloność, popiół. Dość mało ciała.
3.4 W aromacie kawa, czekolada i karmel. W smaku niezbyt zaskakujące, wręcz nudne - posmaki kawy i czekolady.
4.0 65cl bottle. Dark brown pour, clear, with a thin tan head. Notes of roasted malts, roasted coffee, sweet caramel, light anise seeds. Not many flavours here, just a few, but very well balanced and making up a delicious beer. Smooth texture, oats-like.
3.9 Bottle. Pours near black with a beige head. Dark chocolate and sweet roasted coffee, mild roasted bitterness, faint molasses, and a quick finish with a good dose of chocolate lingering through. Good stuff; dangerously drinkable for 10% ABV.
4.1 Bottle. Black pour, no head. Aroma of roasted malts, coffee, licorice, chocolate, molasses and spices. Flavor is quite bitter, roasted and with a huge body.
4.7 Keg, ushers, Edinburgh. Pours black with a Ruby hue, opaque with a thin brown head subsiding average slow. Scent is pure sugar bag of skittles. Taste is woh. Holy fuckamole. Mint, cherry, mocha, cappuccino, hickory, cedar. This shit is fire. Finish is a bit sticky, mocha and mint residing. Unbelievable
4.0 Keg at ushers. Pours black, nose is chocolate, toffee, coffee, blackcurrant, taste is similar, rich, sweet and fruity.
3.7 Keg at Andrew Usher’s. Black body with ruby highlights and a thin beige head that fades. No lacing. Aroma of coffee, cocoa powder and nuts. Flavour of coffee, light liquorice and chocolate cake. Medium body with sticky mouthfeel. Soft fizz. Bold and flavoursome. I ordered this not knowing it was 10% ABV. It drank as easily as a 6% Stout. Good beer.
3.6 Keg at ushers... Dark black.. Thin tan lacing... Soft sweet chocolate roast.. Soft toffee malts nose... Dark bitter. Soft bitter thin chocolate.. Light coffee roast
4.3 This is delicious. Nice flavor with a good coffee. Good strong character throughout
4.0 Flaska från Galatea, privatimport. Provning med Nerikes Ölsällskap, tema amerikanska tungviktare, del II. Brunsvart med krämbeiget skum. Rejält med kaffe i doften, särskilt sumatra. Kaffe, lakrits, lakritstoffee, kola, choklad. Krämig, något större kropp. Även i smaken mycket kaffe, lakrits, lite choklad. Verkligen snygg kaffestout. Rejält kaffedominerad, men gör det väldigt väl. Gott!
3.7 Bottle @ MeadMe share, at Fermentoren. Blackish pour with a samll tan head. Notes of licorice, ash, heavy roasted coffee, dark malts and a medium bitterness.
3.9 Keg at the Bottle Shop - Bermondsey, London. Pours black-brown with a creamy, beige head. The nose is all coffee ice cream, milk chocolate, light roast, coffee beans, subtle vanilla. Medium sweet flavour with more creamy coffee ice cream, marshmallows, some roasty bitterness, ash, dark chocolate. Full bodied, lightly chewy, with fine to average carbonation. Sweet in the finish with light warmth, gooey chocolate, more coffee ice cream, bittersweet baking cocoa. Great stuff.
3.5 Black color with a nice soft tan head. Light roast aroma. Roasty with light coffee notes; like get sweetness, thin body. Not overly impressed.
3.6 Deep brown with red highlights. Unsweetened cocoa and coffee aromas. Good body, lightly sweetened, like lactose. More cocoa in the finish. Dry but not bitter.
3.8 Bottle thanks to Martin. Aroma of Coffee, chocolate, vanilla, lactose, caramel and coffee. Taste of roasted coffee, roasted malts, bitter chocolate, milky sweetness and some caramel.
3.8 Bottle shared by Kreutzfeldt! Pours black with a small brown head. Aromas of sweet cocoa, coffee, roast, fruity. Taste is coffee, fruity, caramel, light roast, cocoa powder, bitter roast in the back.

3.7 2016-10-21. Black body with a small frothy brown head. 3++ Aroma of moderate coffee roast has a nutty undertones that I particularly like. Flavour is quite bitter and roasty with significant coffee character. Moderate dark malt and nutty undertones. Average bodied palate, moderate carbonation. Pretty nice. 7-8/4/7/3/15 Cask Days 2016, Toronto. "I’ll leave the little token bags for the drug dealers."
2.3 Short light brown head. Dark red brown color. Big roasted dark express aroma with some fresh green peas aroma. Big roasted taste with big sweetness and roasted coffee taste.
4.1 Tap - aroma of strong coffee. Strong taste is dominant coffee with sweetness to offset the bitterness of the coffee, but its not enough to balance the bitterness. Also a slight bitter ending.
4.2 A deep dark imperial stout with a thin mocha head. In aroma, beautiful sweet fruity chocolate malt with light coffee notes, grassy hops, light vanilla, alcohol warmth, molasses, dark fruits, very nice. In mouth, a beautiful silky chocolate malt with light coffee notes, vanilla, alcohol warmth, light licorice, beautiful and balanced. Cask Days 2016.
