3.7 courtesy of Antonio Rey, Winter 2013 edition - almost black beer with no head retention; light roasted aroma of coffee, vanilla and Grappa; sweet, full-bodied, late but solid bitterness; the finish shows notes of chocolate, figs and more vanilla; some warming alcohol presence
3.8 Dark brown with tan head. Hasselnut, floral, chocolate and toffee. Sweet, dry and grassy finish. Overall: starts sweet and ends in a desert.

Gut.
3.7 Bottle from omhper - many thanks, Per! The beer has got a deep black colour with a small steady head and smooth body. Aroma of chocolate, malt and torf. Taste of roasted malt, bread, barley, wine, chocolate and torf. Malty-sweet intense finish. Great beer.

3.6 Bottle 33 cl. Black with a minimal lightbrown head. Chocolate and roasted aroma. Medium sweet, light bitter with a minimal sour sense. Soft chocolate end.
2.9 Bottle @ home, 2014 edition. Pours a reddish dark brown liquid and a large, lasting beige head. Aroma is quite dry, fruity and spicy with a chocolate roasted background and grassiness. Not very complex. Taste is dry, medium bodied and a bit sour from the roasted malts, notes of fruity coffee, dark chocolate, ash, red fruits. Not near the earlier vintages....hopefully my last bottle will evolve in the cellar.
3.8 Nesten sort, og med drøyt skum! Lukter ganske lett og friskt, men fortsatt mørkt. Ganske søt, men balansert av rosinaktig friskhet og lett bitterhet. Fin fylde og lett alkoholvarme. Digg!
3.4 Pours a very dark brown with paperthin head that diminishes to nothing. The aroma is roasted malt and chocolate.
3.9 Bottle at home. Pours a deep brown to black color with a small, light beige head. Fruity hops with peaches in the aroma at first, and then coffee and dark chocolate. The flavor is more roasted with coffee beans, cocoa, ash and hint of smoke. Has a rich mouth feel, and a balanced, solid bitterness. A great, rich and well-roasted strong porter.

3.3 Svart med høyt lys brunt skum. Lukter humle, havre og noe kaffe. Starter søtlig før bitter salt smak overtar. Lillestrøm ølfestival - Klimt
3.9 aroma is pretty sharp from coffee and pine with a touch of licorice. This batch feel more vital and awake than the 2013 edition. The taste is dark chocolate, dark bread, and coffee. A pretty dry aura surrounds this one and in the aftertaste you get some sweetness.
3.7 330ml bottle @ the 11th Shrewsbury Bottle Share at Chez Sophie, Feb 15. Thanks to Garlic of Doom. Pours dark with a grainy aroma. Big complex taste of dark malts and a nice pininess underpinning things. A nice Swedish porter.
3.8 (Bottle) Almost black colour, with hints of ruby when seen through light, Lasting frothy beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of liquorice, black coffee, soy sauce, treacle, toffee, dark chocolate, hints of citrus and a touch of smoke. Malty, roasted taste with liquorice, dark chocolate, black coffee, black rye bread, treacle, toffee, citrus peel, spices (clove, anise), a warming touch of port wine and a generous coffee bitterness in the finish. More than medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Tasty and fairly powerful, still in very good balance. Very nice.
4.2 Black with a foamy tan head. Roasted, chocolatey and slightly soapy taste with notes of liquorice, roasted malt, fruity hops and coffee. Roasted taste with notes of salt liquorice, roasted coffee, plain chocolate and fruity hops. Drinkin to caramel chili pineapple with vanilla ice. Nice combo and a exellent beer. Mohawk now his stuff
3.5 Bottle at home. Black with murky brown edges. Big dense pale brown/beige head. Shattered lacings. Spicy roasted and piny hoppy aroma. Burnt coffee, licorice, grapefruit, pine needles and bitter herbs. Flavour follows the same line. Sweetness of dark chocolate and licorice, refreshing grapefruit, rhen ends fairly bitter and slightly burnt with pineneedles and bitter herbs. Bigger body with soft round carbonation and oily texture. It gets slightly medecinal.

4.1 Bottle from systembolaget sweden. Big lastning brown head that takes ages to settle down to be able to drink. Big chocolate aroma blended with aged madera wine. The chocolate also dominate the taste with a balanced bitterness and big body.

3.8 Bottle. Pours a brown-hued black body with a large creamy dark beige head. Nose is grass, coffee, licorice, leather, honey, grains, pine and hints of herbs, cinnamon and muscovado sugar. Taste is roasted bread, coffee, dark chocolate, nuts and hints of muscovado sugar, leather and licorice. Full creamy body, medium carbonation. A fine imperial stout which delivers the goods, however without leaving a noticeable impression beyond the ordinary.
4.2 Bottle: Vintage 2013: Served in a Chouffe glass: Not sure who I have to thank for this bottle, but thank you to the one who got me this bottle of beer. Medium sized vast creamy yellow beige head with a black body. Aromas of hops (flowers and fruit included), liquorice, some roast, like a crispy stout or even better a good BIPA! Flavours of roast, bitters, bay leaf, hops, fruits, flowers, some mocha tints, floral and herbal tones. Tasty! Aftertaste is a mix of bitters, hops, bay leaf, some hop fruits, hint of chocolate and some hop flowers. Low carbo, creamy mouthfeel, medium to full bodied. Great beer, balanced, interesting and damn this is really easy drinkable stuff considering the ABV. Well done!
3.6 Bottled: Pours black with a nice head. Aroma is cookie dough, dried fruit, plums and licorice. Taste is hops, licorice and some coffee leading to warming finish with a hint of dry, roasted malt. Tastes like the missing link between Imperial Porter and Black IPA.
