Molson Dry

Molson Dry

Molson uses the exclusive dry brewing process to create a beer with lower sweetness, and then carefully balances the beer by expert use of high quality German and Pacific Northwestern aroma hops, added liberally and very late in the kettle boil. The result is a different beer with very little bitterness and aftertaste, higher alcohol and a pleasant balance of hop, esters and floral aromas.

2.8 Big fucken can @ home, courtesy of BlackIPA. Pours a clear golden appearance with a nice white head. Sweet corn, vanilla, bubblegum aroma. Really smooth, sweet fruity malty, lemon, orange, candy, banana flavor. Solid macro pale lager. Would drink again.
1.4 Served in a can during he Black keys concert. Aroma of grainy malt, light earthy hops... Thats it. Taste has grainy malts and light earthy hops, a bit of artificial sweetness and (as you might expect it) and little dry finish. Low body and medium carb. Dont really know what else to say other than it was a pretty good concert.
1.5 Oldmanbrau. 710ml King can just for added class. 5.5%. Plain, flavourless, clear yellow fizz. Great for Maple Leaf fans while watching the other teams in the playoffs, or people whose palate has been destroyed by chain smoking. Not much use otherwise.
2.1 A Canadian industrial lager. I often drank this back when I was in college. Nothing special really just pale yellow fizzy beer. Drink it cold or not at all.
1.7 341ml bottle. Clear "gold" yellow, small white head. Smell is corn, brass, grass and vegetable broth. Vegetable broth up front of the taste with some corn sweetness in the back. Finish is rather dry. Overall, not as bad as I was expecting, but nothing good.
1.3 Haven’t tried this since my university beer drinking days, so when I was looking at something "new" to try, I think this counts. It’s fizzy and yellow, with a pillowy head. Aroma is essentially non-existent. Taste is really not good at all. Now I remember the selling point on these beers was the lack of an aftertaste. It’s amazing what you learn to appreciate with time and practice. Remind me not to try the beers of my youth any more.
1.5 found this can kicking around the back of my fridge. fizzy carbonated pour, lots of bubbles, pale straw appearance that could have been an attractive pilsner or lager but is just on the wrong side of pale. little aroma to speak of dare I say it acidic on the nose a bit vomit-like. Watery in the mouth not really offensive but neither is it anything to comment on, rice-like teasing of bitterness. fizzy end to it all.
1.6 From can. Aromas of corn and faint hops. Thick white head that quickly dissipates. color of ginger ale. initial taste is of corn, wheat and faint alcohol. light bodied. finishes with mild hops. not terrible for a micro-brewed discount macro.
1.7 355 ml can from random Montreal Couche Tard. Pours a clear golden yellow with quickly disappearing white head. Aroma is harsh, slightly fruity grains. Flavour is sweet apple and harsh grains. Not much of the promised dry finish. Meh.
3.6 Clean taste and smooth tasting beer. Has a slightly higher kick than Molson Canadian so be careful.
1.8 Can. Pours clear yellow with medium white head. Aroma: malt and corn. Taste: malt, corn and some flower. Taste is a sweet. Of course, this is a lousy beer, but not the worst pale lager. Taking a cold one on a hot afternoon is refreshing.
1.7 Can. Pale yellow with a small white head. Aroma is soft. Lemon and slight floral notes. Taste is sweet and also pretty soft. Floral and lemon. Refreshing.
1.9 Pale yellow with a light white head. Smells of grain, apple and corn. Sweet taste of corn start, watery grass middle and a dry bread finish. No aftertaste. Its drinkable, not offensive and hides the 5.5% well.
2.1 750ml can from TBS. pale, clear, white foam. hay, cereal, light powdered grain. light sweetness, lightly bitter, balanced, clean. light body, thin feel, average carbonation. fine for a pale lager.
2.4 341ml bottle pours a pale golden color with a small white head that leaves no lacing. Aroma is light grains and hops. Taste is malty sweet with a clean dry hoppy bitterness. Standard macro lager.
1.3 A normal adjuncty dry beer. Perhaps a bit of fruity vomit. It was the only choice i had at the time.
1.6 Very similar to its sister Molson Export, yet a tad bit creamier, more carbonated and somewhat tastier. The one to select if all you have to choose from are the usual macro lagers on the market.
1.5 Originally rated July 2006. This popular Quebec swill pours a pale yellow colour with a white foamy-fizzy head and decent lacing. Active carbonation that does not stay all that long and creates a flat watery (mild stickiness) mouthfeel. As always, nice malt scent at first, then turns into a chemical alcohol spill. After the cleaning up, corn shows up. The taste is very sweet with malts and slightly dry, for some very light corn/alcohol aftertaste. Pretty light tasting overall with no bitterness. Use to give me headaches after two bottles when I use to work in a bar. Lets see how this king can does.
1.0 pours a pale yellow with a disappearing white head. aroma is cereals and grassy notes. i guess it is dry, but not more than another non-necessarily marketed as a dry brew. faint malts, aggressive carbonation, light herbal hopping, light body, the usual.
1.6 Got this for free which is the only reason I am reviewing it. Watery taste at the beginning followed by a metallic taste. Only reason to drink something like this is to get drunk. Drinkable (there is worse) but not enjoyable.
1.4 A bit hoppy and golden in color. A decent pale lager with a lite bitter flavor. It had been a while, but I enjoyed it.
1.0 Sweet corn, grain, cereal, and dirty hops. Abrasive to drink feels watery with sadness in it. Not good.
1.0 Boring yellow-orange colour, very little head. Aroma of rice and some vague hops. Flavour is, well, this thing has no flavour, nor do I think it was supposed to have flavour. It’s all about the mouthfeel - it’s clouded by plenty of rice and smooth adjuncts with a hoppy aftertaste. And it is, despite the namesake, not very "dry" at all because of all the lingering rice on the tongue! Totally not working and comes close to false advertising. I am offended, but sadly not surprised.
