Taste: Malt, sweetness, perfume. Dry mouthfeel. Slight alcohol.
Bought: Total Wine (Sterling), 355 ml, $1.49

1.1Super light yellow white head. Astringent grain bitterness. Very tough to chug down. To astringent bitter.
2.6Can@PBF X. Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is bready, grainy, mildly wooden. Flavour is quite similar. Balanced and drinkable. Also some herbs show up as it warms up a bit.
2.9Poured from a 24 OZ can into a pint glass. Yes, I lack common sense.
This beer is not horrid, but it will not make my "gosh, I am craving a beer list". . . ever! It is made to impair and it does it well. The flavor is fairly rich with cereal and corn. Not much more to say but , it is sold mostly in gas stations here in GA.
2.5Can at PBFX. Clear golden color, small white head. Very light fruity aroma. Light-bodied to medium-bodied. Clean mouthfeel. Sweetish pear flavor. Light and easy. Not too bad, more drinkable than expected.
1.9Canned @PBF X. Amber color, thin white head. Apples in aroma, malt. Flavor has apples, wet cardboard. Sweet finish. I could not myself finish this big can (750ml? ). Not as bad as I thought if would be though.
1.5Bottled at Petalax Beer Festival. Clear pale golden, small head. Fruity nose with some syrup. Sweet with medium body and rounded, syrupy mouthfeel. Syrup, ripe fruit and some booze. Pretty non-descript.
0.8Bottle to shaker glass, pours clear golden two fingers off white foamy head. some lacing and retention. Aroma of corn and perfume. Taste is metallic sweet. Medium bodied, lively carbonation, strange cough syrup-like mouth feel. Finishes long and nasty. Tasting notes in addition to the above are skunk, alcohol, corn sugar butterscotch. This is really nasty stuff here! :-(
1.0Clear dark yellow, foamy white head. Aroma is fusel alcohols, metal, corn. Taste is sticky sweet malts, corn, metal and off-flavors aplenty. Drinks smooth, but has a harsh finish from the ABV. Meh.
2.6Smells like malt and alcohol. Anything other than that, I guess maybe bread and some indistinct fruit. Taste is also mostly booze and faint fruitiness. It has a medium body with virtually no head.
0.9something i tried 25 yrs ago as a young drinker..with limited options..we didn’t know any better then..awful.
2.5Can. Crisp light yellow with small foamy white head, yeast aroma, medium carbonation, sweetish taste, abrupt finish. Certainly not "premium" as advertised, not even close.
1.5Went to crappy bodega across the street to buy a Guiness to celebrate St Pattys then I saw this gem and needing the malt liquor tick grabbed it. Pours golden with white head. Nose is of butter and deli meat. Tastes of corn, butter, metallic, and decomposition. Palate is fair and finishes sweet and of chemicals.
1.8I first had this in 1994 while in Toronto with my buddy Rob (we were staying at his brother’s place in North York), playing some hockey and watching the Rangers and Nucks go at it in the Final (Rangers put the 1940 thing to bed finally!)... was advertised as the ’strongest beer in Canada’ at the time (before craft beer was even a thing stateside... let alone Canada). Back then it was about strength more than taste... since most beer in North America tasted like... well... ’beer’ as the word was understood at the time. Anyhow, 21 years later, this still tastes the same... although my palate has vastly expanded (as the brewing scenery has also). A decent way to get where you’re trying to go, without a lot of beer geek adjectives to explain it. It’s fucking mass-produced lager, with a decent ABV wallop -- what else really needs to be said? And to the dickbag from Michigan who mentioned the ’Cleveland Steamer’... your mom excels at those, ya punk-assed prick. Go Buckeyes!
1.9A cruddy beer, with a medium-high alcohol content, and only slightly less unpleasant than American counterparts of the style.... Id bet that downing three of these in rapid succession could "get things going", if that is what youre after
0.7Can: Luckily enough to try some of this thanks to my roommate who is in a beer hockey league. This beer does not even deserve the time for a proper review. Tastes like metallic shitty rain water. Corn. Grain. Metal. Sharp, astringent ass juice. This beer is a liquid Cleveland Steamer.
1.0Dark yellow 2 finger creamy white head. the aroma is straight up adjuncts with a little caramel. Wow, this is straight up terrible. just like crappy rice-wine and some rotten fruits.
2.6another slightly sweet, crisp, clean beer. had it in Canada, and while it’s not as good as many microbrews, it’s more than you expect from a country’s #1 or 2 brewery."
2.8Molson’s version of Malt Liquor. My buddies and I got this while hitting the clubs in Canada because the drinking age was 19 and this hit quicker than the regular brews. I haven’t had one in a while but now that I’m older and wiser I probably wouldn’t like it as much.
2.6Reviewed from notes.
This was poured into a pint glass.
The appearance was a light yellow color with a fast rising carbonation trying to fill a rapidly dissipating foamy head. There wasn’t any lacing.
The smell had a sweet corn /slightly toasted cereal maltiness.
The taste was mainly sweet through the corn.
On the palate, this one sat fairly light and came across somewhat creamy smooth.
Overall, this is your basic American malt liquor, nothing special and nothing bad.
1.5Tasted on 7/10/14 from a 24oz can purchased at a gas station in Georgia. Pours clear pale golden with an average white head that slowly recedes to thin lace. The nose is corn and toast with the faintest hint of green hops. The flavor is very corny with toast and the same very faint hint of green. The body is medium with average, fizzy carbonation, and a short toasty, corny finish.
2.4Aroma: Corn, Mildly Boozy
Appearance: Golden Straw Hue, Passes Some Light, White Head Ring, Mild Lacing
Taste: Corn, Mildly Boozy
Mouthfeel: Average Carbonation, Medium Bodied, Mildly Sweet
1.9Light amber/gold color; Medium body; Aroma of malt, cereal, & subtle floral; Flavor of slight sweet malt, cereal, and some grain; Some alcohol at the finish; Not too bad.
2.1Had this yrs ago. 12packs at some beer stores so don;t see this one around much. Just a higher % lager that is good unlike some high % lager’s. Drink one always seemed kinda quickly downed drink a seconed one after and it took a little while. Usally feelt a buzz of one right away but sometimes not till the start of a 2nd one or moments after one. When I had it I liked it but dont usally see it around. Cheer’s!!!!!
2.4The smell is the worst part about this beer as it is with most macro beers -- an unpleasant aroma of corn, stale water and cardboard. The appearance actually isn’t bad, a medium-light straw with a good amount of lace. The taste is far from terrible, just a bit bland and on the malty side. If you need a high ABV for a BBQ or other sweaty outdoor event, you could do worse than XXX. You could also do a lot better, though.
2.8Transfer from BA review on 4-10-12 -
Poured from can into pint glass
Appearance – Pours a golden color with a large white head. The heads retention is rather weak and it fades quite fast giving way a light amount of lacing.
Smell – The smell is heavy of cereal. Corn is the heaviest with a lighter amount of wheat mixed of a slightly metallic and caramel aroma as well.
Taste – The sweet corn present in the nose is the first meet by the tongue. There are light hints of caramel more towards the middle, but these are very light in comparison to the sweeter corn flavor. At the end of a taste, an alcohol flavor works its way in. It’s not too potent and gives a nice warming feel.
Mouthfeel – The mouthfeel is good for the style. A little bit above average in terms of body with a medium level of carbonation. Very fitting for the brew.
Overall – This was not what I would call a great brew, but it did have some decent characteristics and did have a more potent flavor. It is very reminiscent of a malt, but with a little bit more flavor. Nothing great, but for the price (while not as economic as a malt like steel reserve) it works.
1.3Not my first beer, but the first time I actually enjoyed it, probably because of the party I was at. As far as strong piss water goes, this is some of the better stuff. Taste like corn and vegetable oil with non existent hops, yet bitter from the thick syrup residue left on your tongue. Make sure to drink as cold as possible to actually get this one down.
2.3Bottle I grabbed only because it was a malt liquor that wasn’t rated horribly. For a malt liquor it wasn’t horrible but it is was below average against any other standard. Lots of adjunct. Not terrible though.
2.4Pours a golden yellow with a medium white head. Has fruity citrus nose with some grains and cereal, corn flavor. Palate is a medium body, carbonation is good. The finish is the same as above with some lingering sweet grains and alcohol on the end. Overall not too bad, an ok drinking brew for the style.
