3.7 330ml (3.6%) shared with Stuartyboy at home on 1 Mar 2020 (source unknown; bbe 3 Oct 2020): massive coconut aroma, opaque pale golden, thin white head, negligible lacing, sweet coconut, fruity flavour, moderate carbonation, very sweet finish.
2.3 Sweeeeet
3.2 On tap at 2 be. Hazy yellow. Frothy white head. Smells and tastes like a pina colada. Light bodied.
1.0 Flasche 33cl. Unterirdisch...
4.0 Dorstlesser. Radler-achtig.
2.9 Hazy pale yellow pour. Not sure whether I can call it a beer, but because of the coconut it is def refreshing
1.5 I've heard of good coconut flavours in beer. This is not one of those. Backlog.
2.0 Shared bottle at Ethiopian restaurant in Amsterdam. Again probably a mix of brewed ver and an coconut extract. The only thing you smell and taste is fake coconut. Not as disgusting as its banana brother, bit still a bad idea.
2.7 Draught at The Delirium Cafe Lisboa, Lisbon, Portugal. Clouded straw with white head. Heavy, sweet coconut milk notes, full on the palate, heavy perfumed notes. Not my thing.
Zeer uitgesproken. Ik vindt kokos lekker, dit niet. (29-12-18).
4.3 A great beer for people that like coconut. The coconut is very strong. The ratings are criminally low on this one prob because coconut is so polarizing. Super yellow gold beer. Strong aroma of coconut. The genius use of fake sugar and rice gives it a great dry bite. This is an inspired light colored coconut beer.
3.2 This “beer” is more of a cocktail. The coconut is very intense and there’s nothing else to be tasted. Delerium cafe vienna
2.5 Bottle, from a fake coconut of course. Aroma of sweet coconut milk mostly. Taste is mostly sweet coconut milk as well, with a little sugar. Would not have guessed this was beer. This is of course very bad, but I kinda like the coconut, so it's not all pain and misery.
Jasny kolor i niska goryczka.
1.9 Pale yellow color for what it can be seen while pouring into its characteristic coconut bowl, rich creamy white head of good retention. Aroma and taste of coconut, concentrated, with a strange synthetic flavor similar to soap and perhaps a touch of aromatic herbs. Texture between smooth and watery, sweet and nothing else. A weird and funny beer when served in its cocunut cup, not very good though.
Proefglas 6-3-7-2-12
2.2 Acquired at Belgo for £5.50, Coconut is an exotic beer brewed with coconut and rice crafted by Mongozo. The smell of coconut and yeast are noted as you drink. The appearance is a whitish yellow along with a decent white head. The alcohol content is 3.6%. Coconut has a dominating taste and feel to the body. Yeast adds a creamy touch to the drink. The texture of wheat is noticeable upon the mouthfeel. Rice is faint and barely sensible. The watery finish reveals its presence. A clove spice is notable to the take and finish. Coconut by Mongozo is not a beer for everyone. The saving grace that makes the beer drinkable is the creaminess of the yeast. When I bought it, the bartender said, “A lot of people did not like this beer.” You would have to know what you are getting yourself into before you get this one. Craft beer has become an adventure and simply trying this was worth it. It just won’t compel you to get another. Cheers. Prost. Drink for the love of beer. 3.3 Quickly disappearing white head. Strong coconut aroma. Moderate carbonation. A bit too sweet, but worth a try nonetheless (for the experience).
2.5 Bottle from la supérette a bières. Not as bad as I would have thought. Coconut, of course, but with the Belgian hint
4.5 Flaska z podniku peach. Konecne coconut, kde citit aj kokos. Nadhetna kokosova vona aj chut sladkasta kokosova. Farba bleda az do biela.
Tant pis...
4.1 citrus, herbs, spruce, grass, floral, resin, golden, amber, orange, cloudy, sparkling, minimal head, white foam, medium sweetness, medium bitterness, medium sourness, umami,
3.3 In shop sample at Inn At Home, Guildford. Aroma of coconut with some underlying funk. Pale cloudy yellow, virtually white. Thin white head. The sweet coconut is what immediately strike me, before the sour wit elements come through. Akin to a sour edged Bounty bar. Light bodied. Relatively slick. Average carbonation. Middling finish. Nice enough but a bit too alcopop to really appeal to me.
2.6 330ml bottle Hazy pale straw with white head. Lemon/coconut aroma. Sickly sweet coconut taste with a slight tartness. Certainly different - more like a beer cocktail but I wouldn't want more than one of these at a time.
