2.9 330ml bottle cheers jeevan! Pours clear amber, thin off-white head. Aromas are nutty, caramel. Taste is oddly bitter, nutty, them sweet at the end. Weird.
2.1 330ml bottle. Clear, but full of floaty bits despite of 3 weeks settling in the fridge. Medium size, thick beige head, stays. Sweet, tropical fruits, melon, coriander, bit metallic notes in aroma. Slightly fermented fish, melon, metallic, juicy notes in taste. Medium carbonation. Sweet and metallic body. Weird stuff.
3.3 (Bottle). Aroma and taste of sweet fruits, malt, citrus and yeast. Strange but nice.
3.0 Palm nut beer allegedly to an African recipe. Sweet, caramelly and sugary, with nutty, bit weird but not uninteresting aroma and a hint of toasted malts. Significantly better than the coconut and banana versions but still an overtly sweet, weird concoction.
2.6 Bottle at home. Pours dark amber, nose is sugary caramel, taste is sugary sweet, fizzy, a little nutty.
3.4 0,33L bottle, BB 06.15. Pours dark amber with very light tan head. The head stays for some time. Aroma is exotic fruits, fresh apple, malt, spices. Flavor is sweet, exotic fruits, malt, caramel, brown sugar, and some nuts. Finish is fruity dry bitter with hints of alcohol. Overall: nice brew, very pleasant surprise.
3.2 (Mongozo Palmnut) Bottle at home, 330 ml, poured into a tulip glass. ABV 7% Very dark orange copper to red colour on the body, tall and frothy off-white head. The body is clear, with intense activity in it. The head although frothy has an okay retention. Light lacing is left on the glass after it has collapsed. Fruity aroma, much like a belgian ale, peaches, apricot, some sugar. Nice taste, again sugar, apricots, I don’t get any of the roasted malts or palm nuts but I get lots of iron, could be that the palm nuts? Who knows. Medium thin body, very high on carbonation. Slightly dry on the palate. Overall not bad, certainly the best of the Mongozo beers I had till now.
1.1 Dit was absoluut niet mijn ding, echt zo slecht dat ik niet alles heb kunnen drinken.
1.7 bottle from the fridge at klub malych pivovar - i must have been pretty desperate to taste something, clear amber with no head; aroma of sugar-coated almonds; thin, sweet but tolerable, nutty, not worth more than a couple of sips

3.6 I expected nothing, but I was pleasantly surprised. This is actually a nice beer. Malty, spicey and even original.
2.2 Bernsteinfarbenes Bier mit geringer Schaumkrone. Geruch fruchtig, süß, holzig, nussig. Geschmack nussig, süß, fruchtig.
2.3 Pours a clear amber color. The head is quite generous, sligtly off-shite with nice retention. The aroma is quite complex, surprisingly. There are the typical lager qualities of malt aroma, and also some nuts, slightly woody and grassy aroma, as well as some more yeast. The taste is a bit sweet and slightly sour, followed by a minimal bitterness. There’s some nuttiness in the back present. It has a dry feel, but otherwise drinkable and pleasant.
3.1 Shared a 33cl bottle from Cora. (Luxembourg). Pours a pale orange colour with a thin white head. Aroma has wood, sweet and nuts. Average carbonation and light to medium body. Taste is medium bitter and medium sweet with a sweet finish. Overall, a good beer.
2.9 330 ml bottle bought at Belgian Beer International in Tsuen Wan. Cloudy, hazy dark amber honey colour with thin traces of yeast sediments; One finger head and crumpety off-white foam which lasted for 2 minutes; Very Good lacing and quite fizzy carbonation; Quite fragrant sweet aroma of malt, with light honey, sugar, caramel, light dark fruits, light roastiness and Bel yeast; Medium sweet taste of light roasted amber ale malt, with molasses, light metallic, light caramel, dark fruits, phenolic, fairly light spices, lime and faint grass; Mid to light body, quite slick and slightly creamy palate; Mouth feel is closely resembled to a Dubbel, or Belgian Strong a la Leffe Royale, with prominent Amber malt roastiness. Sugary and caramel, with good amount of Bel yeast for some dried dark fruits, phenolic, and slightly creamy feeling. Okay… Hopiness is light spicy, lime and faint grass in taste. Most astringent than bitter as in Belgian Dark for an abrupt sweet-bitter finish; Fairly dry after taste, sweet and easy to mouth. Comments: Again, if under a blind-tasting, I would certainly believe it’s a cross between a Dubbel and macro BSA, like a Leffe Royale with more roasty, malty character. Unlike Mongozo Quinua being a cool and tasty Belgian White, this palm nut beer is just relegated to an average, colourless Belgian Strong. Not bad at all, but also nothing special or distinctive either.
2.4 Bottle. Nose smells alright, a bit like a lager. Bready. Clear amber in color, small head. Palate is medium sweetness, slightly bitter, quickly gone. Not really palmnutty, or nutty, but fine enough. Not good, not bad, not really rememberable.
3.2 At first rather lagerlike nose, followed by bread, floral, ginger, citrus, dough; frothy, tan foam, clear, amber; medium sweetness, lightly bitter, medium body, oily feel, average carbonation, bittersweet finish, don’t know where the palmnut comes in, on the whole a decent beer and a lot less exotic than it sounds.
2.9 bottle pours dark amber small white head smells sweet ( no idea if palmnut smells like this but i supose so, going from the other mongozo’s ) very high carbo . weird fruity taste ( i guess palmnut ) roasted malts - i do get them . maybe its an idea, because of the palmnut , but it does taste roasted way too much carbo though . bit sugary too
2.7 Aroma: Palmnut, caramel, roasted, fruity, pear, floral, alcohol Appearance: Dark copper with loads of floaters body. Medium, off-white, fizzy head. Good lacing. Flavour: Strong sourness, light bread/cracker sweetness at the end. Palate: Medium light body, high carbonation. I can feel the floaters! Astringent. Overall: The aroma is impressive, but the flavour is overwhelmingly acidic. The floaters are off-putting. 330 ml bottle, poured. 21A. Spice, Herb, or Vegetable Beer
2.7 0,33 l bottle kindly shared by Sigmund. Pours a clear deep red golden body saturated with large particles. Lasting medium sized tan colored head. Buttery, nutty, light fruity and toasted nose. Spicy smooth Belgian ale with a thick mouth. Medium to full body. Dry tongue
1.3 330 ml bottle, from Voldby Købmandsgård, Denmark. ABV is 7%. Deep orange-brown colour, moderate white (or slightly off-white) head. Sickly sweetish and nutty aroma, not good at all. Fizzy mouthfeel. The flavour is unfresh, medium sweet, alcoholic and slightly sickly, nutty notes. Hardly any bitterness. Definitely not "my cup of tea"
2.8 Amber/rusty pour with a moderate off-white head. Aroma: Sweet, malty, nut. Medium bodied, slighttly bitter and slightly sweet. Hint of orange/citrus and spice. By far the pick of the bunch.
2.0 33cl bottle.Dark amber colour with small dirty white head.Roast malt and caramel aromas with also a little spiciness.Flavour of caramel and malt and also the palm nut was in there, the taste reminding me of the palm nut sugar portions sold on the roadsides outside the old capital of Laos. The best of the Mongozo fruit bunch so far.
3.0 Bottle bought at La Nucía. Dark amber almost brown colour with medium off-white head. Aroma has notes of toasted malts and caramel. Flavour is sweet, slightly alcoholic, notes of candy sugar are present. The final is sweet with a medium duration. Carbonation is medium. Body is medium to high.
Test vom 3.3.2008, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 3,3,2,1,6,2 - 2,30
3.4 Bottle @ home.....It pours murky dark amber with a small steady beige head.....The aroma is light roasted malt and light fruity coconut aroma..... The flavor is light roasted malts, caramel, yeasty and some spices.... bitter spicy and light alcohol finish.....
2.6 33cl bottle in a coconut shell. Decent creamy white head. Better than the other mongizo beers.
2.0 330ml bottle. Pours a hazy, medium amber with a dirt-white head. Spicy, earthy aroma, malt, caramel, nuts. Off-dry, medium body and bitterness, lively CO2. Spicy, phenolic taste, malt, caramel, yeast, somewhat sour and musky. Weird. (2012-07-19)
2.4 Little aroma , orange but hazy in appearance. Flavour is fruits and some nuts.
