Moor Revival

Moor Revival

Cask & bottle conditioned; Regular.

3.8% on draught, 4.0% in bottle.

A very hoppy and refreshing bitter, brewed to celebrate the revival of the brewery, and meant to revive you when you need it. Light in colour but not flavour thanks to a blend of Pale, Lager, Cara, Crystal and Wheat malts. The hops are a blend of American varieties, with American-style yeast providing a crisp finish. For a beer relatively low in alcohol it has a very full flavour and drinks well above its strength, earning it a multitude of awards and setting the standard for the style. A modern classic!

¿Bitter? ¿En serio?
3.5 Cask at Cambridge Winter Beer Fest: Poured a burnt orange color with a white head. Aroma was brilliant with hops and caramel. Taste was nice hoppiness, caramel malt and a lingering bitter bite.

3.6 Cask at Cambridge Winter Beer Festival 2018. Slightly hazy amber colour, white bubbly foam head leaving lacing and hoppy aroma. Taste is malt, caramel with tangy citrusy hop bitterness. Light bodied, soft medium carbonation, dry tangy bitter finish. Nicely drinkable
3.5 Moor Revival 3.8%. Hazy pale golden, pale malt and floral aroma, light bodied, pale malt, wheaty, citrusy, Darjeeling tea, tropical fruit. Another strange brew from Justin Hawke. A ‘bitter’ that tastes like a pale ale hybrid
3.0 Foam on clouded orange; soft peachy hops on the nose. Flavour is peach juice accented by hints of grain. Dry finish. Good bitter, mouthfeel is full but you won't get blasted by this which is nice.
3.5 Pineapple and melon aroma. Hazy orange color with small sized white head. Lots of tropical fruit in taste. Thin body, average carbonation.
4.0 En fin bitter smag. Sødmen er ovre i noget tørt græs agtig noget. En fin velafbalanceret øl.
3.4 355 ml can ordered online from LCBO. Pours a very cloudy dull orange colour with solid-sized off-white head. Aroma is caramel and fruity maltiness with some herbal hoppiness. Flavour has caramel, fruit, biscuit and some herbal character. Average body. Impressive for the low ABV.
3.3 330ml can. Slightly hazy amber with a thick frothy white head. Flavors are orange, grapefruit and herbs with spicy and floral notes. Light to medium body, moderate carbonation, oily texture.
Corpo watery e carbonazione molto low. Molto session e dissetante.
3.3 33cl Can @ Okasional-Beer, Barcelona, Spain. Hazy golden colour with a thin white head. Aroma is malt, hops, citrus, fruits. Taste follows the aroma. Medium body, average carbonation.
3.2 On tap @ Brew Wild. Cloudy golden color, white head with some retention, good lacing. Aroma has light earthy notes, slightly caramel. Flavor is slightly bittery, some notes of tea. Dry mouthfeel in the final with a very light bitterness.
3.5 Flavourly canvent calendar. Light amber, tight white head. Malty aroma. Decent heft for a low abv beer, lots of malt and a decent bitter follow through. Good.
3.5 Tap at Craft Room. Hazy amber body, off white head. Huh, initially this was extremely subtle and watery, served slightly colder than the average, but letting it get warmer really opened the beer up, both this and Nor'Hop, both more sensitive to temperature than is the norm. Warmer, this revealed light citrusy notes, sweetish biscuity malty touches, vague currant and pomegrenate. Dry, perfumey peachy smooth taste. Really an okay light beer. Very much English and yet kinda American in a way. Just shows how good this brewery really is.
3.5 Pint of cask at the Earl of Essex. A great pour with the expected minimal head. This was a perfectly kept pale ale and the flavours of malt and both bitter and fruity hops were allowed to shine. There was a lot of flavour for a beer under 4% abv and this is one I could have drunk throughout the night.
2.9 Can 330 ml from Flavourly canvent calendar. Aromas are malts, tropical fruit, grass and citrus. Hazy gold-amber body and white head. Taste is bitter with tropical fruit, grass. Quite carbonated. Drinkable but doesn't stand out.
3.6 Cask. Light in colour with white top. Malty but with ample hops fruit. Tastes medium bitter. Palate medium bodied average carbonation, long finish. A very full flavored low abv bitter.
2.7 Fra cask på Kings Arms, London 12 Okt 17. Mørk gylden. Uklar. Lavt kritthvitt skum. Lett ferskenaroma. Smaken plommer & fersken. Lett tørr ettersmak.
3.1 Cerveza típica inglesa, con mucho amargor y escasa en matices, buen cuerpo y gasificación
3.6 Draft at The Pint Shop in Cambridge, UK. Hazy copper with a lacy white head. Aroma is citrus, herbal tea, caramel. Flavor is nice and herbal, some wet leaf notes, crisp, balanced on the sweet/bitter front. Clean feel, soft carbonation. Really nice bitter!
3.3 Keg at CP&K, 16/10/17. Almost clear golden orange with a decent off white covering. Nose is orange pith, straw, grass, biscuit crumble, apricot. Taste comprises orange pith, melon, straw, biscuit malt, toasted grains, grass. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with balanced bitterness and and earthy hop bite. Decent hoppy session gear.
3.6 Dégustée au Mondial de la Bière de Montréal 2011 (De mes notes papiers). .
2.9 330ml can @ Byron, somewhere in London. Pours a misty pale gold, medium white head. Fresh citric aroma. Taste falls short somehow, very faint citrus coming through, pale malts, grassy, herbal, some faint lemon. Not a lot of flavour present, but chuggable.
3.4 Surprised by how good given its low ABV. Palate had a lot of depth and citrus and orange notes throughout.
3.6 330ml can. Hazy golden orange colour with a two finger white head. Aroma: hoppy, citrus, earthy pine, malts. Taste: same as aroma, citrus hops, earthy pine, grainy malts, bitter finish, good amount of flavour for low ABV. Light bodied, carbonation a little fizzy. Nice stuff, wouldn’t class as a Bitter though.
