2.9 Bottle. Hazy orange with a huge head. Aroma of yeast, banana and clove, ok but a bit weak. Sweet, spicy weizen flavors, lemon, banana, yeast. Medium-bodied, proper carbonation, creamy.
3.3 16.9 oz bottle pours golden with a off white head. Aroma of bananas, cloves, yeast and malts. Taste is malts, banana and yeast.
2.9 Total Wine, Delaware 50cl: Pours hazy gold. My bottle was a gusher, but I think that was just because it was just in a car before. Aroma is banana and a bunch of spice... of course. Taste is quite spicy, mildly bitter, not particularly sweet, a bit chemically. Easy to drink, but not my favourite. The spiciness, I felt, gave it a bit of an off-taste... nothing egregious, but still.
2.7 Bottle 0.5l at home. Originally rated 12022012. Colour is cloudy yellow with small white head. Aromas and flavours: Fruits, banana, wheat and malts.
3.0 Ins Glas ergießt sich ein trübes goldenes Bier mit schöner Schaumkrone. Geruch hefig, fruchtig, würzig. Geschmack hefig fruchtig, reife Bananen, leicht würzig.
3.6 Cloudy yellow. The head is tall and a bit thin. Aroma of clove, yeast, banana, fruit. Medium body. The taste is pretty pleasant with sweet & sour components. The finish is dry & a bit watery. Dry aftertaste. Not bad.
3.2 500 ml flip-top bottle in Coral Springs, Florida. This bottle traveled a lng way to meet me and it shows. It like so many other German beers did not travel well. Would really like to have this fresh in the homeland. Pours a hazy gold and full white head. Aroma is citrus and cloves. Taste was dry fruit and citrus and cloves. Palate was smooth.
3.5 Bottle from BOTW, I’m guessing it’s summer leftovers. Looks awesome. Cloudy neon light orange. Not much head, but nice patterns. Cloves and grain in the nose along with a bit of yeasty sour. Decent nose. Ripe bananas in the palate. Very dry palate/mouthfeel. It’s a decent hefe. Probably a bit underrated.
1.7 Poured from bottle. Absolutely no head or carbonation. Sweet aroma, off taste. Think the bottle may have been bad. Will rate as fairly as I can under circumstances
2.9 Aroma features under-ripe banana and overripe apple cores. Very clear golden color for a wheat beer...was is filtered? Big, lasting head. Strange sourness at play here. Taste is mashed up banana paste and candied berries. Dry, papery body that numbs the taste buds up front. Unusual weissbier.
2.2 Simples Weizen, das sicherlich kein Kracher ist. Hefig, leicht säuerlich und mit schwachem Abgang. Selbst für ein Hefeweizen etwas laff.
2.4 Pours out of the bottle in a cloudy orange-yellow colour with low unsteady head and medium body. Nose of yeast and bananas. Taste of heavy yeast, green bananas, straw, flowers and caramel. Average sweet hints - boring and dull finish. Didn’t enjoy it a lot.
3.1 Pours a dull golden with Brown sediment suspended. Aromas of lemon and Apple pie. Very interesting. Malty weiss flavours... some banana and wheat. Not bad.
2.1 Mostly full 500ml swingtop bottle. Opened and resealed several hours ago. Pours with a nice, half-haze golden orange color. Good thin white head. Some loose lace. Medium body. Crisp, lightly smooth carbonation. Just a bit pronounced, little rough. Dry finish. Decent wheat aroma, kind of watered down though. Very light banana, moderate spice. Light sweet, moderate bitter taste. Some bite to the taste. Better than the dunkelweizen, but not a great hefe, still
3.0 Hazy yellow with a full head. Aroma of fruit and some candy. Flavour of citrus fruit with a dry sweet finish
3.4 Bottle. Hazy yellow pour with a white head. Huge banana aroma. Taste is wheat, spice, and slight banana. Good brew.
3.0 Pours a slightly dark yellow. Yeasty. Some cloves bananas. Ok. Nothing spectacular ..
2.9 Into a glass pours a yellow ocher Weizen with soapy head. It smells yeasty moderate-creamy, slightly sweet and very spicy. Starts spicy yeasty, slightly sour, with clove in the background. The middle part is also very spicy, subtly tart fruit flavors are added. Goes into a yeasty-spicy, subtle fruity finish!
2.2 Pours hazy golden blond with a full head and moderate lace. I’m always underwhelmed by Moosbacher, and this is no exception. Light yeasty malt flavor, but compromised by a sense of being watered down. No full body, no big mouthfeel, no bloom into the finish. Very one-note - static., and plain. Too bad.
2.9 Swing top bottle. Golden blonde. Yeast and citrus in the aroma. Banana, lemon and hints of yoghurt in the flavor. Somewhat buttery mouthfeel. Rural weizen.
3.8 Happened upon this on a military installation. GREAT BREW! Can’t wait to try the others from this brewery. Super smooth wheat beer. Nice after taste...I think I need to move to Germany!
3.0 Bottle:   Golden, fairly clear, lively carbonation, large frothy head, white, dies quickly.   Not very cloudy... doesnt say filtered but appears to be.   Wheaty nose, but not much clove or banana.   Seems very simple.   Slight sweetness, even a smidgen of apple skin.   Flavorwise its very plain, wheaty but no banana or clove that I associate with the "good" examples.   This is like the base of a good German Wheat, just without the good bits that make it that much more better.   Spritzy on the tongue, very spritzy, with a weird mealy sweetness on the backside.   Yeah, very plain and average.   Not one I would reach for again.
3.0 50 cl bottle @ home, BBE 05/2012 Aroma is rather light and a bit stale with flour, some banana esthers . Flavour is also light with some banana and coriander. Palate is too high on CO2 like other Moosbachers. Too light once again.
2.9 50 cl bottle. BBE . Pours hazy golden colour with large foamy head. Aroma of yeast, citrus, light apricot, wheat, grass and some distant banana, also some solvent-like alcohol at the end. Flavour of yeast, citrus, apricot, wheat, hay and spices. A bit too carbonated. 4323
2.9 500 ml bottle. BBE 05/2012. Pours a hazy yellow colour with a large, thick, frothy white head. Aroma of sweet malts, wheat and coriander. Flavour of sweet malts, wheat, coriander, some light hops and fruits. Medium bodied, smooth mouthfeel and a light, wheaty and fruity finish. Nice and easy-going Hefeweizen.
2.8 500 ml bottle. From bierzwerg.de. Hazy golden colour with average size off-white head. Rubber, wheat, yeast, berries and sweet caramel in aroma. Flavour is wheat, yeast, mild toffee, wood and some dryness in flavour.
3.5 The aroma is slightly effervescent and spicy/yeasty/grainy, with a bit of American Wheat characteristics to it. The flavor is very grainy with some lemon/bananas in there. Not quite a great hefeweizen but solid around.
3.1 Streng-hefiger, etwas rauchiger Geruch. Bittersüßer Start, Mitte würzig mit Bitterspuren, nur marginal hefig. Abgang hefig, bitterwürzig und trocken. Ok, mehr leider nicht.
2.0 Bottle 50cl from Quack-Duck thanks, a cloudy pale yellow beer with huge head. Nose is sour like and less fruity. Aroma is yeast like, sour, less malty, dry, low body, near to a low alcohol beer. Very bitter especially at the finish with lemon notes, a poor hefeweizen quite uncommon.
