Bottled, Pasteurised. A smooth-tasting ale enhanced to offer an elegant happy floral nose, a nutty malty palate and a lingering malty sweetness.

3.012oz bottle in Guinness pint glass. Pours a nice golden amber, crystal clear. Little to no head, scant bubbles from bottom. Aroma smells almost like Old Speckled Hen which is not surprising I guess. Flavor is very subtle and a tad mundane, almost like a watered down ale. Probably a great session beer, you could slam a few these quickly, but not enough in the flavor department to reward your efforts.
2.9Bottle. Pours bright orange with a small, creamy beige head. Aromas of sweet caramel, toffee, pilsner, and wheat. Light caramel flavor, with butter and lightly bitter grass. Smooth. Meh. [807]
3.9Poured a nice looking copper color. Nice head. Malts and caramel on the nose with some grain. Lite sweetness with lite bitterness. Light to med bodied, soft carbonation. Nice palate feel. Well done,
4.0Aroma of roasted nuts and toasted malts. Pours a deep amber/gold with a thin head and active carbonation. Taste is roasted malt sweetness up front followed by a subtle bitterness. Nicely balanced. Easy drinking. I could have many of these in a row. Well done. Cheers!
1.5So I tell the guy " I don’t like to buy beer in clear bottles but I did.... Beer pours a dark amber with a skunky aroma, and the flavor just wasn’t there for me too much skunk taste also I could not get passed it. I work at a bottle shop and you know some people don’t mind it. This is not my type of beer and will not buy it again.
2.9Poured a clear orange color with almost no head from a clear 12oz bottle. Aroma has grapes and fruit with some doughy notes. Some caramel and yeast as well. Taste is very smooth and spicy. At first good caramel flavors. Transitions into a slightly grainy and floral finish. Overall slightly creamy with a decent amount of flavor. Pretty good for a bitter.
3.1This is a prety nice English Ale. Not too carbonated and pretty smooth, i thought it was better than what I expected. I had it in a bottle and would love to re-rate on cask.
3.0Bottle. Pours a light bruin body with an off white head. Aromatically grains a hint of floral notes, mild caramel sweetness. Bitter sweet, light toffee, cereal notes, and a hint of wood, and light bittering hop character. Decent session ale.
3.8Fine orange color. nice creamy head. The taste is balanced and very tasty, with a good woody flavor. Its a long time since I have tasted this english Ale. I really hope I can get the opportunity to re-taste this beer.
3.012 oz single.
Pretty average to look at..darkish copper hued ale with a small but persistent eggshell white head.
Typical English Bitter aromas. some caramel, nutty with a hint of hop.
Nice enough nutty, caramel aspect to the taste to begin with then for some reason right at the end some rather unpleasing black tea pops up then dissapears.
Ok on the palate tends towards watery at the end though.
Overall pretty average stuff.
2.4Pours a clear copper color with very little white head. The aroma is mainly malt, grassy hops and yeast. (typically UK smelling beer in my opinion) It is sweet tasting throughout the drink. the flavor is rather mild and boring throughout. i get mainly just malty grain taste, and slight hops. the palate is really watery. overall this isnt really that great of anything.
3.1Bottle. Poured a clear dark amber/copper with a small white creamy head that was mostly diminishing and had fair lacing. The aroma was heavy of cookie malts, sweet yeast and a hint of caramel. It tasted lightly sweet from begining to end with the finish being rather weak and empty of flavor. Mouthfeel was very light in body and watery in texture with a flat carbonation. Overall a brew with not much flavor at all.
3.4Although I do for some reason favor this beer, it tastes a bit bitter with a bitter aftertaste. Interesting pour - micro head if at all. Very light carbonation.
2.9Light apple aroma. Clear orange color with a small white head. Mild beginning with a sweet cardboard finish.
3.2Aroma is dark caramel. Mild hops. Appearance is crystal clear bright apricot copper color. Taste is caramel, nutty, biscuit, vanilla, a hint of darker malts. Hops bitterness is present and smooth. Malt before hops on this though. Palate is light and crisp. Nice caramel nutty lingers. Overall I like this beer. Nice smooth easy drinker with alot of flavor for such a low alcohol beer. I also enjoy the caramel flavor that this brewer brings to all there brews.
3.8Tanner’s Jack is pretty good. Whenever I want a good, reliable beer I reach for Tanner’s Jack.
2.9Bottle - Clear copper colour. Thin off white head. Low carbonation. Thin to medium body. Caramel malts. Fruity. A little bitterness.
2.6Bottle. Poured an amber color with a small white head. Aroma was mostly malts and some caramel. Flavor was mild hop bite with sweeter undertones. thin watery body. Ok beer.
3.0500ml bottle.
One of the beers Green King has ruined the least. However, it’s still
thin and minerally. Plus points are the prominant bitterness. Minus
points are that the finish is too drying, and leaves you thirsty for
something else.
3.0Pours amber with a white head. Aroma is lightly hoppy and fruity. Flavor is earthy malt, good bit of hop, with fruity notes.
3.5Clear amber pour in the glass. Nose and taste of caramels, malts and spruce. Rated 7/10/2000
3.1Upon opening the bottle the aroma of skunk jumps out an smacks you in the face. But amazingly it disappears after you’ve let the bottle breathe for a minute. Pours a mellow light brown. Almost looks like a whiskey. Caramel & roasted malts. Not as malty or as hoppy as I anticipated. Sweet finish with little aftertaste. A bit on the light/watery side, but smooth as the prom queens thighs!
3.112 oz bottle pour acquired via back yard. nice clear amber with a large creamy tan head with light lacing. good looking beer. smell, dear god!!!! smells like a mass produced swill. was really put off but i pushed forward. REWARD!!!! taste is very nice, though i could be overly joyed that flavor was nothing like smell. taste of sweet roasty malts. bread and caramel on the forefront. really enjoy it. body is medium with light carbonation. reminds me of early fall.
3.412oz bottle. a pale orange beer under a medium sized, white head. toffee and burnt nuts with a hint of floral in aroma. flavor is very balanced with flavors similar to the aroma. the palate is smooth, creamy, and medium bodied. light bitter finish. seems a bit more malty than some bitters with a strong caramel note.
2.5Aroma of skunk, sweet malt, grass. The appearance is appealing, a nice amber color, white head (must be why they insist on using the clear glass, when that is probably a major contributor to the skunkiness). The flavor is toasted malt, nuts, caramel, vegetable juice. The finish is weak, watery, light floral hops. The body is thin, the mouthfeel a little slick. Not good. I paid $0.83 for this beer. I was overcharged.
1.712oz. Bottle: Aroma of diacetyl and butter. Ewww. Poured orange/amber in color with a small, dense, white head that greatly diminished but lasted around the edges and as a film on top of the beer. Clear. Lightly sparkling. Flavor is lightly sweet. Tastes of grain, slight vegetable, diacetyl, and butter. Light to medium body. Thin, slick texture. Soft carbonation. Diacetyl and butter finish is a tad sticky and pretty foul. Not at all "a smooth-tasting ale enhanced to offer an elegant happy floral nose, a nutty malty palate and a lingering malty sweetness."
2.0deep copper color with an inticeing aroma of hops. medium white head that leaves slowly. complex malts with hints a caremel finish clean. very soft beer.
3.1Rich amber/cider color; Light to medium slightly creamy body; Aroma of toasted malt, caramel, & floral hops; Flavor of slight roasted malt, caramel, nuts, and hops; Nicely balanced; Palate is a little light, but quite good overall.
2.2Thin, watery. Slightly skunked. Won’t purchase again, but it’s not the worst I’ve ever tasted. Some hops.
3.0Bottle. Pour was a coudy golden amber color with nice white head. Taste weak hops with the main taste of nut and bitter fruit, couldnt pick out witch one, maybe apriot or grapefuit with heavy carbonation. Very very smooth though. Not a good reflection of English brews found over the pond, but not hateful either.
