The Framboise Mort Subite is brewed according to the ancestral Lambic recipe. This original Belgian beer ferments spontaneously. Enhanced with raspberry juce it matures soft and slowly in oaken casks.

3.6Pours a nice slightly hazy reddish color with pink head. Raspberries, a light funk, some oak, and sweetness on the nose; follows onto the palate. Finishes with lingering raspberry fruity notes.
3.9Pours a reddish copper and well velvety tone showing a thick foam, creamy pink and with tons of lacing.
Its aroma is delicate and dominated by raspberries and some fermented yeast in the background and very weak oak.
On the palate we notice the delicate raspberry sustained by a good bitterness and good acidity. Shown balanced without excess in sweet or bitter. Clearly this beer brings a freshness of the fruit through the carbonation that shows powerful language, without excess.
Your body is average and good carbonation.
The aftertaste is long, fragrant, dry and slightly sweet. A Fruit-lambic solid set and good perception.
Nice it is proposed.
3.404-04-2015 - This is a nice fruity beer, but for the rest not very special. Good for the summer!
3.3the aroma of garden berries and flowers... the taste is rather sweet, with notes of raspberries and, a little bit, of wheat malt... the aftertaste is fruity and sweet...
3.0375 into a talk pint glass. 4 finger off white head. Dark red. Smells like candy. Sweet jolly rancher. Very sweet. Not very sour. Lots of sweetened sugar. Interesting but wouldn’t habe again
3.9Pours a deep copper topped by a pinkish creamy head delivering tons of lacing. Vivid micro carbs are hard to spot. The nose is obviously dominated by raspberries and some leather from the yeasts. As for the taste, no surprise since the fruit is at center stage. You get a nice bitterness and good tartness. Not overly sweet or bitter, this is a good try. Cheers!
2.9It pours strong pinked red. It smells very sweet and fruity, without classical beer taste. It tastes too sweet but it is not a bad one to taste,
3.4375 ml bottle to snifter (shared with the Mrs.). Best before 20/02/2015. Looks solid; a slightly hazy lightly burnt orange with bubbly off-white head. Smells mildly tart with a nice raspberry presence; on the sweeter side for the style though. A bit of oak as well. Tastes like it smells with a medium-bodied miuthfeel. Could be dryer with some sour and funk, but a nice training wheels framboise for the inexperienced.
4.0Bottle. Dark red pour with white head. Raspberry purée and tart aromas. Full raspberry, nice drinking raspberry beer. Not sour, a touch sweet.
3.2Tap @ Mort Subite, Brussels. Clear purple pour with a pinkish head. Raspberries, cherries, sweet, syrupy.
3.9Pours a slightly hazy purple-tinged brown with one finger of off-white head diminishing gradually to a thin skim, minimal lacing. Nose is tart raspberry and pretty much nothing else. Taste is low to medium sweet and moderate tart with lingering sour, faint oak. Light to medium body, prickly sustained carbonation, with a dry mildly sour finish.
Better than their kriek. The raspberries are intense on the nose and powerfully fruity on the tongue, without being overwhelming, and don’t taste the least bit artificial. The sweetness is restrained and just sufficient to balance the tartness of the berries. It’s no Cantillon Vigneronne, but it’s quite pleasant. Public opinion be damned, I like it.
3.0Bottle into a glass. Cloudy, ruddy pour with an off white head. Aroma of jam and wood. Taste is lightly tart raspberry, wood, hints of vanilla. Sweet fruit jam. Easy drinking. More wood, less sweet fruit than other shelf framboise.
2.6Classical ’compromized’ framboise, i.e. not 100% lambic and sweetened; like their geuze, it still shows a subtle and limited sourness and woodiness of lambic, though otherwise it is dominated by sweet raspberry juice and sugar. Since 1986, shortly after Lindemans’ breakthrough in the genre.
3.5Similar composition to the kriek, just a different fruit. Soft with light funk and sour aspects. Tasty though. Hits the spot for a cheap raspberry fix. Slightly over carbonated. Pinkish
3.825cl bottle thanks to ruigo. Color is red with a medium initial head with a pale pink color. Medium body and good carbonation. An intense aroma of raspberry, slight yeast. Sweet taste and also sour. Aftertaste is long, dry and slightly sweet.
2.4From the bottle shop, Brugge. Deep red in colour, no head at all. Looks like a glass summer fruits squash! Aroma is of blackberries, some tart raspberry a touch of Belgian yeast. Taste is pretty sour, with some tart raspberry coming through. Taste is a bit like a fizzy sweet in the finish. Refreshing enough but hardly outstanding and a bit too much like a cheap can of corner shop pop.
3.6375ml bottle picked up at The Grapevine
Pours slightly cloudy red/golden with a medium sized pinkish head and good lacing. Aroma of raspberries, some sweetness and sawdust. Taste is smooth, raspberries, sweet, woody with a tart sour finish
Good, easy drinking
3.5Bottle from saq A: raspberry not much like the fruit more like a candy type app: clear dark pink wth light pink head. Great lacing. T/p: med body tart finish. Fizzy. O: good fruit.
2.9Pours hazy reddish purple color with pink head. Funky raspberry aroma. Sweet and tart raspberry flavor. Overly sweet and somewhat artificial tasting. Light to medium body with lively carbonation.
Color rojizo. Sabor a frambuesa, azucar, muy dulce.
1.9Consumed at A La Mort Subite. It pours reddish brown with a small white head. The nose is sweet, sugary, raspberry syrup and candy. The taste is tangy, sweet raspberry, white sugar, cheap jam and dull wood with a sweet finish. Light body, moderate carbonation and sticky mouth-feel. Cheap, sugary and fake. Pretty nasty. More like a soda.
3.1Belle mousse consistante.
3.1Bottle. Pours a clear reddish brown color with a moderate pink head on it. Nose is slightly sour and very fruity with a lot of raspberry present. Taste is extremely fruity, yet only slightly sweet. Not a bad one.
Aberrante
