Mother Earth Endless River Kölsch

Mother Earth Endless River Kölsch

A clear, crisp beer, Kölsch offers a very slight fruity flavor and aroma. It is light gold in color, with a delicate head. This light-bodied beer appeals to nearly everyone who samples it. Expect to enjoy a slight tang in the finish.

3.8 On tap at the random Argentinian food themed beer bar the spouse found in Charlotte on New Year’s for lunch. Pours clear gold, nice head. Aroma of crackery pale malts. Flavor matches, bare hint of a floral hop note on the finish, just enough to balance with bitterness, and a very faint hint of pear. Subtle and delicious, well done here.
3.0 Alisa brought this one back for me from a trip to North Carolina. +++ Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a hazy yellow colow with a small soapy white head that left a bit of lacing. The aroma was sweet, tangy, yeasty, lemon and grass. The flavor was tangy and sweet with perfume, grass and a yeasty undertone. Medium length finish. Light body. Pleasant.
3.8 Aroma: hay, grass, floral Appearance: clear, golden, thin white head Taste: light sweetness, lightly bitter, Palate: light body, thin feel, soft carbonation, long finish,
4.3 Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a pint glass. Aroma- Smells of grain and fruit Appearance- Pours a murky straw yellow. Has a small white head. Taste- Tastes of malt and grass, real flavorful. Palate- A light bodied beer with moderate carbonation. Overall- An excellent example of a Kolsch.
3.2 12oz bottle, purchased on 2/23/15 from Habersham in Savannah. Mostly clear golden color. Thin white head, kind of bubbly. Leaves good, thicker lace. Awesome bready, doughy malt. Kind of pilsner-like -- mildly peppery, and a satisfying bit of sulfur. Some corn. Mild bit of butteriness? Moderate bitter taste, light sweet. Light to medium body, a touch thin. Light, but bright carbonation. Light slick finish. A pretty solid kolsch.
4.2 12 oz. brown bottle into a Foothills glass. 4.9% ABV A: Hazy almost greenish gold color. Inch high craggy head from a fairly gentle pour. Lots of visible carbonation. Laces in thin sheets as drunk. S: Musty funky stuff. Grapey. Dirty clothes? T: Still grapey with a slight floral hop bite. Wet cardboard maltiness. Distinctive and good. M: Fantastic fine-beaded carbonation blankets the tongue. Slightly soapy going down but almost floats down the throat. Luxurious stuff! O: Not much experience with the Kolsch style, but this is probably my favorite along with Reisdorf. This is very good and my go-to Kolsch. M.E. hit this out of the park!
3.5 Nice Golden pour with a mild white head. Aroma is grain with light lemon, some grassy notes and buttered toast. Taste is sweet malt, light lemon, grass, and biscuit. Body is light with light, prickly carbonation. Easy to drink and smooth.
3.4 12 oz bottle pours a clear golden color with a small white head. Aromas of bread, yeast, light floral. Crisp, light frefrshing.
2.7 Grassy and malty aroma. Clear gold, no head or lace. Lightly sweet and light bitter. Too much carbonation, light body. Eh...
3.1 Bottle @ home, thanks to jcnielsen. Pours a touch hazy, light yellow appearance with a white head. Aroma is very herbal and grassy with some lemon, corn, and straw. Medium light body. A little too sweet. Flavor is kind of corny and grassy with a little bit of apple. Not that great.
2.8 Bottle. Very easy to drink. Overall lacking in flavor. has a very dry finish.
2.8 Bottle - A crisp Kolsch with a mellow flavor. Actually not much flavor on this one at all. A good starter beer or on a hot summer day it’s good. A dry after taste.
2.9 Good enough for a cold, summer pick me up after mowing, etc. Clean, clear light amber color. You’ll notice citrus and coriander or other grassy herbs. Not bad.
3.3 The better of two beers I tried from this brewery at the DC brewfest in 2014. Mild and lightly sweet. Bright yellow with minimal head.
3.2 On draft. Piss color, foamy head. Clean flavor of an orangey lemonade, all crisp summeryness.
2.8 Well, they were aiming for light body and they achieved their goal. Nothing bad here, just not much that is above average. Easy to drink, crisp, light on everything, including flavor.
3.2 On tap. Pours a hazy golden color with white head. Straw, earthy, malty aromas and flavors.
3.5 12 oz. bottled 04/13/2014. Clear golden with a lasting ring of cream. Aroma of mild citrus, honey and minty grass. Taste is lightly toasted grain, grassy citrus and touches of tart apple and mint. Light-medium body is a little fizzy, but it suits the beer. Balanced and crisp.
2.7 Ok. Some meaty grain aroma here. Pours blonde with decent head and lacing. Finishes with light barley bitterness. Tap at American Ice.
3.2 Decent Kolsch. Lemon, soft carbonation, bit of tang at the end. Doesn’t smell great, but it’s lager-esque so that slight skunk funk always seems to creep in. However, the flavor is spot on, and it looks the part too.
3.1 12oz bottle. Slightly cloudy yellow color. Malty and slightly fruity aroma. Flavor is similar. Ends slightly bitter and dry. Decent Kölsch.
3.2 Pours a very clean pale yellow with a white head, smells very light as in just a bit of malt and a bit of hops (maybe). Taste is pretty clean and crisp, just a tiny bit of malt and fruitiness, good example of a kolch.
3.2 Bottle 12fl.oz. ABV: 4.9%. Clear medium yellow colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly diminishing, white head. Aroma is moderate malty, grain, fruity, pale malt. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter with a long duration, fruity, grain, grass. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20131111]
3.7 Light golden coloured body with a slightly hazy glow and a rich two centimetre tall just off-white head. Aroma of light malt, a touch of hops and some subdued grassy and herbal notes. Light to Medium-bodied; Strong herbal and grassy character at first with a nice lemon and subdued malt flavour and a pleasant effervescence. Aftertaste shows a nice herbal and grassy taste with the malt coming out strongest, but in a good way. Overall, a very pleasant kolsch with nice flavours throughout and a subdued complexity. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Arrowine in Arlington, Virginia on 06-November-2013 - Thanks Kev!
3.0 Bottle. Pours a hazy gold with slight cream colored head. Aroma of malt and hints of fruit. Taste of lemon with grassy notes.
3.3 Bottle into shaker. Hazy pale yellow. Aroma is grass, earthy, maybe a little dank. Taste is lemon, grass, a little sugary in the middle, spritzy finish. Not bad.
3.5 Bottle. Pour a hazy yellow color with a thin white head. Light, grassy aroma with a hint of lemon zest. Sweet flavor. Some malt with lemon mixed in. A pretty delightful beer!
2.7 A little boring, but not bad for a kolsch. Pours an ugly yellow. Smell is a little sweet. Taste is creamier then normal for a kolsch, with a dry finish. Had in the bottle.
