Mother Earth Kismet IPA

Mother Earth Kismet IPA

Our West Coast-style IPA is in your face and aggressive. Pale in color and loaded with Northern and Southern Hemisphere hops, Kismet has loads of tropical fruit, tea leaf, and pine flavors, and it finishes bone dry with a lingering bitterness. It’s an IPA drinker’s dream come true, and a perfect way to kick off another new year of the Resinator series.

4.1 Very good go to IPA. Canned 2 months ago but the Hops smell very fresh. Nicely balanced with the malts satisfying and enjoyable.
3.8 A piney mango aroma. A thick golden body with a moderate one fingered head to start. It has a bold bitter start but is balanced well with mango an earthy spice maltiness. It has a fairly smooth finish.
3.5 Can 355ml (BGonzo, Genesis date 05/20/2016) Amber colour, small steady off-white head and lace. Piney, resiny, hop oily aroma is quite good. Medium-bodied. Tropical fruity, resiny and piney flavour. Decent pale malty backbone. Nice solid West Coast IPA although freshness is partly gone.
3.3 355ml can. Pours dark orange with a large head. Aroma is creamy, piney hops. Taste has toffee with some piney hops in the finish.
3.8 Herbal en nariz. Algo de pino. Oleosa. En boca resinosa y acaramelada. Intensa. Amargota. Sin fecha de consumo preferente ni envasado. CAN.
4.0 From can at the Hoppy Pub, Thessaloniki, courtesy of skullgeorge. Almost clear golden color with white head. Hoppy and malty aroma, pine, spruce, grassy, citrusy fruity, light tropical, caramel. Sweet and bitter taste like aroma. Medium oily body with soft carbonation.
3.4 Just ok. Both the aroma and flavor are just a little off. One of my less than impressed beers from these guys.
3.6 Goudblond/oranjekleurig met wit schuim. Geur: hoppig, groene hop, lupuline, iets zweterig. Smaak: hopbitter, harsachtig. Goede koolzuurprikkel. Afdronk: bitter.
3.5 Draft at Mohawk Bend. Clear copper-gold color with a nice white head. Nice fruity citrus aroma with some pineapple. Pleasant flavor woth mandarin oranges. Light bitterness with a quick finish. Enjoyable gateway IPA.
3.8 On tap at alefort. Pours out a crisp golden topped with a white head. Nose is nice light tropical fruits hops some citrus and a light sweetness. Taste is more of the nice tropical fruits hops a well balanced fruit and malt bill.
3.4 Copper with a thick white head. Aroma of ripe fruit and pine. Nice up front maltiness but flavors wash out rather quickly. Short finish. Needs more flavoring and bittering hops. However, this one would more easily pare with food than most IPAs.
4.0 Clear orange color with off-white head. Aroma has some bright hops with tropical fruit flavors. Taste has also nice fruity hop flavors, not too bitter, really hoppy and tasty. Medium body and carbonation, quite smooth. Really well made, easy drinking, aromatic IPA.
3.8 Can from Beergium. Aroma is fruity Nelson hops, stone fruits, peachy, biscuity malt, pine, orange, grapefruit, mild floral notes, touch of candied fruits. Flavour is moderate sweet with a bitter finish. Body is medium. Very nice royally hopped IPA.
3.5 Can at The Leeky Tap, Leek. A hazy amber colour with a thin off white head. Aroma of toasted malts, caramel, pine, resin, some mango, slight orange, a little fruit and subtle floral hops. Taste of orange, resin, some grapefruit, slight mango, toasted malts, a little caramel and subtle floral hops. Medium bodied and moderate carbonation. A short, slight toasted, resinous hop bitterness in the finish. Citrus, resinous and floral hops coming through the American grain bill of toasted malts and caramel, however the Nelson quality isn’t there. Short finish too. More like a standard pale ale.
4.1 On tap at Mother Earth, pours a clear bright golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out a very fresh citrus and dry piney hop character, along with toasted crackery malt. Flavour is wonderfully structured, with the Nelson hops coming out wonderfully, with its characteristic citrus tangy quality, followed by some piney hops and toasted crackery malt. Bold without being abrasive in any way and leaving very low astringency on the finish. Excellent.
3.6 355ml can (bb 30 Jun 2017) at home on 4 Feb 2017, from Good Spirits Company, West Nile Street, Glasgow, fruity, toffee aroma, amber brown with a bubbly cream head, earthy, fruity, toffee, viscous, sweet malty aftertaste.
3.7 355ml can. Pours clear amber/copper with a creamy off-white head. Aroma: pine, resin, tropical fruit, malt. Taste: piney resiny hops, tropical fruit, floral, malt, good bitterness which lingers for quite a while. Medium body and carbonation.
3.8 Lightly tropical fruity aroma and flavor with a hint of dankness. Medium bodied with minimal to moderate bitterness. Good if not quite great.
3.8 33cl can. Appearance is copper to red. Thin white head. Taste is medium bitter, light sweet. Medium body. Sticky finish. Aroma and flavour is pine, resin, pineapple, peach, mango, blueberries, hops.
3.1 12 oz can. Canned 05/17/16. Thanks Timo A! Clear amber color with a tiny head. Hops, dryness, mild bitterness and dryish malt in the aroma. No fresh. The flavor is harsh hops, bitterness and sweetish malt.
3.7 Pours orange, relatively clear. Aroma of malt and sweet pine. Taste is very sweet for an IPA. Resin, hops and light citrus, almost tangerine flavours. Not the hopiest IPA beer ive had but flavour is quite full and rounded. Maybe a little too sweet for most hop heads but easy to drink and hides ABV well
3.2 23rd Sep 2016: 330ml can in Chez Sophie, Shrewsbury. Hazy orange with a weak and thin head. Hop centric and fairly bitter in nature with a fruity trace in the bitterness as it warmed a little in the glass. I thought this OK, hid the alcohol well.
3.7 OK, I understand the comments about this being unremarkable, in the world of IPAs. But, let’s face it, there are millions of them, and they can’t all be exceptional. It has a good colour and oodles of lacing, a decent body and good balance of fruity hops and malt. And pine, and caramel, and a kick of bitterness. It’s good!
2.8 330ml can @ Chez Sophie. Pours a misty amber, off white head. Aroma is caramel, pine. Taste brings crystal malt, pine, resin, marmalade. Would’ve liked more of the Nelson hops promised. Not Mother Earth’s finest.
3.4 Can. Orange gold in color with off-white head and lacing. Aroma is floral and pine with some caramel malt flavor. It is moderately bitter with a lasting aftertaste.
2.2 Poured from a can. Orange-gold color with an off-white head. Not much lacing. Dank aroma. Very bitter taste which overwhelms the palate.
3.2 Keg @ Cornwall Specialist Beer, Redruth Cornwall hazy amber with white head bitter taste leading to a floral, pine bitter aftertaste , a strange one ths.
3.4 Pour is a hazy orange with almost no head at all. Aroma is some tropical fruit hops with a bitter dankness. It’s not jumping out of the glass bit it’s there. Flavor is the same as the aroma. Light fruit with dank bitterness and a barely there caramel malt. Decent but ultimately kind of a generic IPA.
3.7 Can from Boise Co-op. Pour from can starts off rather average, aroma kicks it up a notch with some nice flowery hop notes. Taste elevates the whole with very pungent, flavorful, floral, piney hops, carried on a slick, viscous body. Hoppy and tasty, overall feel is wonderful.
3.1 On tap at Growler Guys Meridian. Hazy orange Amber with a thin light tan soapy head floral Woody bitter bite. Dry finish.
