Made with hops grown in the good ’ol USA... you’ll proudly support American farmers when you drink beer! Light copper in color, it has an intense hop aroma and strong hop bitterness. Our hopback process uses fresh hop cones to take this IPA to unexpected placed. Prepare for a mouthful of flavor.

3.2 Bottle from Trio. Pours hazy orange with a medium sized white head. The aroma is floral, grassy, but has nearly no citrus character. The taste has a mild bitterness, sweet orange and apricot, and a bit of extra sweetness on the finish.
3.8 Cloudy Orange pour at rhubarb. Frothy head. Very fruity hoppy and bitter. Grapefruit citrus note. Delicious.
3.4 A mild aroma of hops and citrus. Good looking beer cloudy caramel color with a foamy white head. Pleasant fruity taste with a bitter hops finish. Dry feel with a bitter after taste.
2.7 it pours a golden orange. It has a standard piney, floral aroma that is not too powerful. The taste is mostly hoppy floral and pine elements with bits of citrus in it.
3.3 bottle in OBX. Pretty decent and drinkable. Wasn’t expecting much but okay.
2.6 12oz bottle pours a hazy gold with an off white head. More malt than anything. I might have gotten this to late.
2.9 Crisp, very hazy bronze coloured body with a decent two centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of fresh grassy and bready hops with a good yeast and malt nose, some alcohol and a touch of citrus and sugars at the finish. Medium-bodied; Assertive grassy and dry note up front with a good hop flavour but no malt backbone to speak of at all, just a PNW hop kick at first but nothing supporting it and no depth at all. Aftertaste shows a subdued grass note, hints of the hops but little else - no complexity and no depth here, which is too bad. Overall, a good smelling and nice tasting beer initially, but this fades fast and only a shell of a beer is left. Decent to try, but there are much better examples of the style to try than this one. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Whole Foods in Arlington (Clarendon), Virginia on 27-July-2014 for US$2,49 sampled at home in Washington on 18-August-2014.
3.4 Bottle from wine vinter charlotte. Very smooth and good drinking ipa. Big retained head.
3.1 On tap at Cedars in Penn Quarter in Washington, DC. Hazy amber with an off-white head and very good lacing. Aroma of malt, light fruit, caramel, floral hops and light citrus. Taste of caramel, intense floral hops, light fruit and mild citrus. Medium body and medium/low carbonization. I found this to be an odd IPA. It was very bitter, but without either the citrus/pine intensity nor a tropical fruit hoppiness.
2.2 Not a big fan of this IPA. The bready malts and the metallic fruits were confusingly mingled. Tried this at the DC beerfest with Jess, Mark, and Matt in 2014.
3.0 Some citrus and some sweet malt but comes together with a tinge of acridness that puts me off. On tap at DC Summerfest.
3.7 A mild taste with a mild IPA flavor. Builds in the middle with a slight pine. Finishes with a lingering light hoppy taste when you inhale. Perfect when you want more than. ---Rated via Beer Buddy
2.3 Kind of strange, but I can't put my finger on it. Not like other IPA's that I like, but overall, just ok...
2.4 Bottle @ home, thanks to jcnielsen. Pours a cloudy yellow orange appearance with a cream colored head. Tropical fruity, a bit woody, a bit papery aroma. A little twangy. Kind of dusty / cardboard-y flavor. Plenty of citrus. Moderate to high sweetness. High bitterness. Not in the best shape but I’m still not a huge fan.
3.2 12 ounce bottle A gift from a local for local trade, this was a very nice IPA with East Coast roots. While not my favorite example of the style it had a few signs of promise. If you are looking for the best this is not it. However if you want to compare how different regions interpret a ubiquitous style pick one up. Aroma / Appearance - A frothing head creates a little concern before it begins to settle into a transparent bronze foundation. Rye, earthy grasses, lemon zest, and laid back summer breezes give this the air of a casual afternoon sitting on the porch. Flavor / Palate - Rye, dusty floor polish, and sourdough emerge with an intent to leave a memorable mark on the palate. The bitter transition carries them towards a finish of crushed walnuts, crusty bread, and resin. Something about the whole experience feels a bit disjointed. With many potential highlights the overall result never comes together in a cohesive manner. I’m glad to have tried this one but in the future I think I’ll stick to other styles from Mother Earth.
3.6 Overall good ipa, tap at CoBO in Boone, hoppy and citrus and piney good stuff
3.7 Bottle into shaker. Very cloudy copper color. Aroma is malty caramel, floral and honey hops. Taste is malty up front, spicy in the middle and long bitter finish. Medium body, sticky, soft carbonation, long finish. Great example of a micro IPA.
3.9 A really good dry hopped ipa. Very hoppy And bitter. Smells fruity and malty. Has a bitter finish and pours a color in color.
1.9 The whole 6 pack was severely flawed by a metallic taste, which can come from a variety of causes. The bottles had a bottled on field on the label, which was left blank. I have never tasted a beer with such a huge overwhelming metallic flaw as this one. I assume it was a bad batch, based on other reviews.
3.6 Trade with drowland - thanks! Pours a sightly murky dark orange with a thin but sticky eggshell white head. Aroma has some fruit salad accents, a touch of spruce and mint. Flavor is full bodied and tangy with some citrus bitterness, some maple syrup sweetness, a bit of nuttiness and some cake mix sweetness in the finish, Mouthfeel is full and sticky. Pretty solid.
3.5 Nice and not so bitter. Was nice to drink at a nice place at downtoan of Atlante. Nice floral aroma there.
3.8 The appearance of the beer comes off with a nice hazy orange tint to it, no sediment, with a mild creamy head that clung to the side somewhat, decent carbonation. (almost like a hefeweizen). The smell is a mild citrus smell and has some residual hoppy smell too (IMO the worst part of this beer but I dont buy beer to smell them). The taste starts off mild until you swallow then you get a nice hoppy taste with some malty flavors to it too (a nice combination that isn’t overpowering but maintains a good taste). The mouthfeel is a very nice hoppy holdover, again, not overpowering but lingering well. Overall, this is a very nice beer from a brewer that I have not experienced before. If the rest of their beers are brewed this well, I look forward to trying more of them. My best friend was kind enough to bring me up a sixer from Charlotte and I have asked him for more of it.
2.4 12 oz bottle. Bottled 05/01/13. (Beverage World) Fort Oglethorpe, GA. Clear golden colour with a small white head. Very mild aroma. Weak. Some sweet hops... Sweet hops, mild bitterness and malt in the flavour. Quite strange IPA. Weak. No good.
3.2 Pours a very hazy (lots of particles) orange with a little head that dissipated quickly. Aroma is caramel malt with some feint citrus along with other indiscernible notes. Taste follows the nose with perhaps some grassiness mixed and a strong bitterness that lingers. Medium bodied. Definitely more malty than the West Coast IPAs which I prefer. I have no trouble drinking this one but there are way better IPAs out there.
3.4 Unfiltered. Cloudy copper color, creamy white lace. Hop, lemon, orange peel, sugar and spice aroma. Decent hop bitterness. Burnt flavor with plenty of hop.
3.5 Clear old gold, good 2-finger head, sheet of lace. Taste is caramel malt with a big dose of citrus hops. The malt is strong enough to re-emerge at the finish. Grows nicely through the palate. Solid, malty and hoppy, good drinking.
3.5 Location/Date:Bottle on August 17th, 2013. Appearance: Pours an orange cloud Aroma: Aroma of light pine, orange, caramel. Taste: Light medium bitterness, hints of orange. Palate:Light body Summary: Decent IPA. Don’t know the age on my bottle, but does the job just not extraordinary.
3.6 Bottle. Not the most biting or cutting edge IPA flavor. There’s actually a little caramel and toastiness in the middle, but the bitter hoppy IPA comes through in the finish. I’d love to try the oaked!
3.1 On tap at Shaw’s Tavern DC. Pours a hazy orange with some fizzy white head. Nose is soap, grapefruit, pine, orange, some kefir lime. Flavor is bracing with bitterness, blood orange, kumquat, pine, malt, grass, nettles. Full bitter finish. Could be a little more nuanced.
3.4 The appearance is a golden color with a white head. The aroma contains some citrus and herbal notes. The flavor is slightly sour with some bitter notes. There are mostly lemons present in the flavor. Overall a little one dimensional but not bad, just not great.
