4.0Got the bottle 6-pack at LCBO. Tried it with friends after volleyball, hanging out enjoying a cool crisp May weather. Did the trick for me. I’ll try it again.
3.1Pours copper with a thin tan head. Aroma is floral. Taste is slightly bitter with a mild finish. There are notes of caramel, and herbal, floral hops. It has a slightly creamy mouthfeel with moderate carbonation. It’s a bit mild but there’s nothing wrong with it.
3.9This is Muskoka’s best beer, in my opinion.
Not necessarily an everyday beer. It is a wonderful beer given the right time.
Caramel compliments the beer. Smooth. Not much finish. Nice amber colour; looks great as it settles.
2.4Average beer. Very smooth though glad I tried this beer while in Canada. Doesn't have much flavor on the backend
2.8473 ml can. Clear amber colour, thin off-white head. Malty aroma with grassy hops and notes of caramel and nuts. The flavour is malty, slightly toasted, with metallic notes, and a moderately bitter grassy finish. Nothing special.
2.5Canned. Clear brown body, small beige head. The aroma is hoppy, with tartness. The taste is very creamy, with nuts in the finish.
2.4Orange liquid, large head. Weak aroma, sweet. Light body, little carbonation. Taste of pilsner with some extra fruits.
3.0I poured it from the bottle into a pint glass. It pours copper with an off-white head and lacing. The aroma was vanilla cream. The taste was vanilla, yogurt, bread, and earthy hops. The subtle sweetness was balanced nicely with the subtle bitterness. It was smooth and creamy. This was a nice and easy-drinking beer.
3.0Can. Moderate roasted grain for the malt, light herbs for the hops, faint dough for the yeast, with a hint of cardboard. Head is average sized, frothy, off-white with good crusty lacing and is mostly lasting. Color is clear medium amber. Flavor starts slightly sweet and lightly acidic, then finishes lightly bitter. Palate is on the lighter side of medium, a little slick with a lively carbonation. A nice easy drinking Cream Ale
3.1Amber color can’t really put a finger on the aroma but the taste is a mixture of malts and hops that’s a little watery and leaves a strange taste in your mouth, it’s ok but it could be better
2.4Can from LCBO. BB Aug 2016. Pours hazy, slightly coppery amber with light beige head. The aroma is rather startling at first, strange... liquid mix of toffee and caramel with cinnamon added... Yea, like some syrupy cinnamon roll filling. And the wheaty breadiness too. Hint of earthy manure at points. Not my understanding of a good beer aroma. Tastes of the same notes but with much less depth plus a slight metallic hint. Slightly too watery, modest but crisp carbonation... No, not good.
2.8Pours hazy copper orange with a white head. Sweet malt and carmel aroma. Taste is sweet carmel and cereal with notes of nuts. Not bad.
3.7En oubliant que la cannette ne rend pas justice à une cream ale, j’ai bien apprécié la finale courte légèrement douce amère de cette ale.
2.9Pours a orange copper with fair white head and lace. Quickly recedes to sides of glass. Aroma is malt heavy, toffee. Taste is also malt, toffee, a slight, very slight, pine note. Slightly bitter. There was something familiar with it, it reminds me of steam beer more than the English pub style noted on label. Creamy mouthfeel with very mild metal aftertaste. An easy drinker.
2.9341ml Bottle courtesy of Cuso.
Pours hazy, auburn/brown with almost no head and soft to moderate carbonation. It smells strongly like canned prunes which is not something I look for in a beer. The taste is predominantly malty, with plummy notes similar to, but more pleasant than, in the nose. There’s also a distinct oaky, boozy flavour and a reasonable bitterness to the finish, with a slight fizz on the palate. The bottle calls it a a classic British-style ale but that’s a stretch for sure.
3.4Cloudy carrot orange, tons of carbonation. Lovely color.
Aroma is sugary corn syrup malt, very sugary and sweet. The intensity of the malt is almost overwhelming, even just in the nose. There is an almost "steam" quality to it.
The aroma is more of that corn syrup malt, but with a minty hop leaf right after. Then there is a juicy, pungent hop, which smooths everything right out.
Taste is more of that sugary sugarness. Corn syrup like malta goya, but the hop is like a juicy balance, slightly bitter like orange peel.
The feel, like the other Muskoka stuff, is thick and chewy.
2.8473ml can. Hazy amber orange with a foamy off-white head. Flavors are sweet cereals, caramel and orange with nutty and fruity notes. Medium body, moderate carbonation, slick texture.
3.6Can 473ml.
Pours deep golden/copper. Aroma is of caramel, malt. Taste is of caramel, bitterness. Palate: Medium body. Medium carbonation. Overall: Ok, tasty. Nice malt features.
3.550 cl can. Pours a clear amber with a white head. Aroma of, cereal and grass. Taste is slightly bitter. Palate is medium. Overall a good ale.
3.0Can kindly donated by Karol, many thanks. Amber orange color with medium white head. Sweet malt, candies in aroma. Sweet malt, candies in taste. Light resiny hoppy bitterness in finish.
3.2Can kindly donated by Karol. Aroma sweetish caramelly American crystal malt. Clear orange colour, short lasting head. Taste has got the same caramel element and also a careful amount of resiny zesty orangey hoppiness. Also is thin bodied, somewhat watery. Easily drinkable but kind of uninteresting.
3.2Plechovka. Tmavšia oranžová farba. Vôňa sladka, jemne karamelova a citrusova. Chut ostra na jazyku, cukrikova, velmi jemne citrusova, karamelova, medova. Prazdnejsia dochut, ale lahke, pitelne.
2.5Can at Firefly, pours a clear copper orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out toasted malt and light sweet cereal. Flavour is along the same lines, with a slight herbal notes and cereal malt. Not my favourite style, but it’s solid stuff. Okay.
2.6Pours a copper/orange, with a finger of head. Thin to medium body, toffee, just not enough body to elevate it out of mediocrity.
3.4Clear bright orange with a two finger white. Nose is medium toffee and a hint of pear. Medium light sweetness and a hint of bitterness. Medium creamy mouth.
3.5355 bottle from a sampler 12-pack from Liquor Depot, served in my cruise-liner two-tiered flute. (I hope to find a couple more nonicks, stemmed tulips, and one of those ancient "bumpy" hefe glasses.) Pours a faintly hazy, moderately-carbonated, orange-amber with an off-white head that leaves a few lace webs. Citrusy (grapefruit), piney hops dominate the aroma, followed by malt fragrances. Fresh, appealing citrus hops fill in the flavor, with a note of toasted malts lying low, but definitely there. Moderately-bodied, slightly creamy on the tongue, with a bright, crisp finish. I expected more of a creamy malt brew, but this hop-centered concoction is very pleasant and refreshing nonetheless.
2.6This is a weird one. Pour is pretty much Kool-Aid orange with...about the same amount of head, and carbonation. Nose is mostly caramel, hay and a bit of barnyard - it’s got that kinda gross rustic charm I like in an Irish red/cream ale. Taste-wise it’s a tiny bit sweet, with a good dose of club soda and a weird finish (don’t we all? ahem...). I feel like this stuff COULD be decent but...this wasn’t.
3.5Coup de coeur canadien, très bonne cream ale, belle mousse, très onctueuse et très agréable. J’aime bien les bouteilles Muskoka :) Bue à la pression dans un bar quelque part dans le district de Muskoka, courant mai 2013.
2.8Bottle. Light orange-amber pour, not much head. Very light aroma, some caramel malt and a touch of brightness from very light hops. Fairly light and malty flavour, again a touch of hops, a little metallic. Pretty boring, but still better than a crappy lager.
