3.2Bottle... Pours clear and dirty-orange with a small, white head. Toffee and bready notes, along with a port/golden raisin-like ester are the aromatic highlights. Light-bodied with zippy carbonation. The flavor is medium-roast malty and very well-balanced. Crisp, clean, refreshing finish. Well done. Good amber ale. Bottle courtesy of Tinkerbell!
2.7Pours clear amber with white head. Aroma of caramel, grass, and toffee. Flavor of caramel with grass. Nothing really else. Bitter lingers. Palate is thin like water. Its ok
4.1Outstanding Amber / American pale ale. I see it’s listed as an amber, but it to me, it definitely drank like an APA. I enjoyed two pints of this beaut on draft at Sugar Creek in Nags Head. The beer poured a bright and clean copper color with an ample off-white head. The head laced nicely around the inside of the glass. The nose was very inviting with plentiful notes of fresh, spicy and bold hops. The flavors followed suit, with a ton of full and bold happiness. There was also plenty of bready and biscuit flavored malts. The finish was smooth and slightly creamy with more fruity and spicy hops. Really nice ale!
3.2Nice caramel color with a fair amount of carbonation and bubbly white head. Nice aroma of roasted nuts and toast. Palate is full slight even bitterness.
1.7Aromas are slightly fruity, stale bread, corn, crackers. Clear copper with a somewhat lasting off-white head. Mostly dry, a little fruity, corny. Light bodied.
3.0bottle. clear amber. caramel aroma. an fullish but drinkable palate with proper carbo level. the flavor is cereal grains and caramel, although not oxidized.
3.4On tap at the brewery. Pours a mostly clear amber with a thin white head. Caramel and malt on the nose, a bit of sweetness. Medium bodied, grainy with some malt and a touch of crackers and bitterness. Slow earthy bitterness into the finish.
2.3I feel bad about the low score, but it is what it is. Poured from a bottle, small head, slightly cloudy amber color. Aroma isn’t bad, sweet, but the taste isn’t great, skunky, sour, and a filmy finish.
2.9Drank at Natty Greene’s on tap in a pint glasses. Pours a nice dark amber color with decent head and little carbonation. Has a slight smell of bourbon. Tastes like an average amber with a slight taste of bourbon, a well done amber!! Possibly my highest rated amber brew!
3.2Really good brew by the greensboro crew. Amber ale that is medium color and has a full bodied taste. Smooth taste
3.1Bottle.
Very pretty amber with not much of a head.
Heavy candied caramel notes in the nose.
Flavor is caramel, burnt sugar, autumn leaves. Not bad.
3.0From site: A full-bodied amber ale with a rich, smooth flavor, just the right balance of hops and notes of caramel and toffee.
4.5Draft at carolina alehouse in Durham airport. Color is a solid amber coloration. Deepred brown. Head is big and frothy. Floral aroma, fruity baby food, peach aroma. This is hands down my favorite amber. I dont like the style, but I like that this one is sweet. This reminds me of an alchol based peach sweet tea that isn’t overly sugary and has a good malt overtone. Although not typical for its style, it has a wonderful balance fpr what it is. Medium light body, well carbed, keeps its head, beautiful color, flavorful. Great beer. Wish I had some in texas. No bad aftertaste and not too strong. Good solid amber without being a typica amber. Love this beer.
3.3Draft - Caramel on the nose. Clear amber with a decent head. Caramel, light hoppy bitterness and a nice finish. Basic, but well done.
3.12/1/2015. From bottle. Amber with a white head. Caramel and light fruit aromas. Sweet fruity flavors with hints of toffee. A bit bland, middle of the road brew.
3.112 oz bottle. This was enjoyed at home in Columbia, SC. The ale poured an amber color with off white head. Malt and bread is detected on the nose. The ale had a medium body with average carbonation. This is a refreshing beer that is easy to drink. Smooth finish with caramel malts lingering in the last swallow.

2.2Bottle from Food Lion. Pours clear amber with a small off white head that dissipates very quickly. The aroma has pretty much just caramel from the malt, slightly toasty. The taste is light bread and biscuit. Not special.
3.512 oz. bottle. Pours a nice copper color, with a medium, bubbly, tan head. The aroma is toffee, juniper, almonds, raisins, and some light cardamon. Sweet flavor throughout, with just a touch of bitterness. Medium body, thick, and a little crisp and harsh. This is a pretty good, malty amber ale. Not overly deep or complex, but solid, well-made, and crisp.
2.2Poured from 12 oz bottle a crystal clear amber, forming a fine off white head. Aroma that of a restrained flowery hop character and a touch of caramel malt. Not much after that. Flavour waffles of floral hops, carmel malt, just a hint of sweetness. Blah....
3.4Nice amber ale with mild taste and appearence.
3.2Appearance: coppery brown, with light beige head, average lacing. Aroma: caramel, toffee, light toast. Taste: malty and toasty, with caramel, light brown sugar, slight woody character. Finish: clean and crisp, lingering toasty notes. Notes: A malty amber, not much in the way of hops, easy drinking. NoVA Brewfest 2014.
2.8Bottle pour a nice amber brown with little to no head. Aroma of sweet caramel and toffee. Taste of same sweet toffee with a hint of hops that makes for a clean finish. Med body with a lively carbonation. Overall sweet amber that is pretty easy to drink.
2.7Asheville, NC - Bruisin’ Ales - 12 oz bottle. Medium copper pour, light off white head that dissipates quickly. Aroma is pretty much neutral, trace of mineral water. Flavor has some very faint nutty accents, a wee wisp of caramel, some hard candy sweetness. Mouthfeel is kind of dull. Not feeling it on this one.
2.2On Tap at the Ruddy Duck Tavern in Morehead City NC. This beer pours a deep amber with a thin head of off white bubbles. Nose is medium malt and a bit of grain and maybe a bit of a metallic hint. Taste is medium roasted malt and just a bit of metallic tang. The body is quite thin.
2.9It poured a dark amber color with a white head. The aroma was of light herbs with some maltiness. The taste was lightly roasted malts with some bitter roastiness.
