Nebraska Cardinal Pale Ale

Nebraska Cardinal Pale Ale

Our American Pale Ale is golden in color, mildly bitter, and characterized by floral/citrus-like aromatics which are the result of an additional dry hopping with a very large amount of Cascade Hops. Crisp, crystal clear, and completely enjoyable. Currently, the top selling beer within our Nebraska brewpub.

2.5 Can. Hazy orange-copper, low off-golden head. Sticky-honey, swizlestick fruity aroma. Medium light dry, mineral, fizzy sticky fruit juice, light sour berry/infected, tart orangepeel. A bit sticky, overall refreshing, but the infection sucks.
2.4 Can. Unclear golden color with white head. Aroma is candy stick, fizz, orange, toasted malts. Taste is fizzy candy, sour, dishwasher. Oily mouthfeel with medium carbonation. This seems infected.
3.6 Can from hayduke that we had together via facebook chat. Cloudy golden with white foam. This is fruity with gentle bitterness. It seems to be an early version of a NEIPA. Citrus and stone fruit. It is very easy drinking from start to finish with just a little alcohol being noted.
3.4 Hazy dark gold pour. Thin white head. Aroma has citrus and some apple, mild hops and slight twang. Taste is like an apple core. Maybe even an apple seed. Very intense and on the bitter side. Somewhat watery finish.
3.1 Clear golden with a dripping white head. Unique apple skin twinge throughout aroma and flavor, that mixes in an interesting way with the mildly citric hops. Well blended flavors with a solid but unobtrusive malt backing.
2.9 It pours dark gold with a white head. The head has moderate head retention. It has aromas of citrus and passion fruit. There is a grainy sweet background with a low note of apple. The initial sweetness of grapes mixed with floral elements. There is a bit of citrus and low soy in the background. The aftertaste has moderately low bitterness with some harshness. Overall, the background harsh notes could be smoothed out a bit with the flavor and aroma being decent.
2.2 From the can. Twelve days past the expiration date. Pours frothy, sudsy with a white foamy crown. Aroma is fruity, full of mango and pineapple with light caramel hints. Taste is strangely sour. I think this one has gone off. Did not finish. At least it’s a new state tick.
4.1 Clean aroma with some sweetness and grassy hops. Light bronze color, bone white head. Big and sharp hop bite with a good amount of malt to back it up. Aftertaste is dank and earthy. Great dense palate with a tinge of carbonation at the end. I really liked this, it should have a higher rating.
3.0 can from olé supermarket Shanghai. pours amber golden with little head. fruity aroma with hoppy citrus and piney taste.
3.2 Rated on 10-05-2017. Canned 07/26/17. The appearance is a large creamy smooth off-white head that is mostly lasting, hazy amber body, slow rising carbonation observed, and spotty lacing. The aroma is malt, tropical fruit, hops, citrus, grapefruit, grass, floral, toffee, and caramel. The flavor presents light-medium bitterness, citrus, grapefruit, malt, caramel, some spiciness, tropical fruit, lightly sweet, and a dry finish. The mouthfeel is light carbonation and crisp. The taste of this beer is not all that tasty for the style and thus it is a so-so beer overall. This is my first rating of a beer from this brewery and it did not leave a good first impression.
3.2 Leicht trübes gelb, schaum Ok, im Geruch citrus würzig, im Geschmack etwas dumpf hopfig fruchtig citrus, ganz in Ordnung
3.4 355ml Dose. Trübes orangesBier,Schaum zerfällt schnell. Citrus-Zimt Duft. Recht eigen. Antrunk Citrus und Hopfen. Süffig.
3.1 Can from Utobeer, Borough. Sweet pine and citrus aroma. Bright amber, slightly hazy. Thick and fluffy white head - partly due to the open top can? Medium bitter. Some juicy sweetness. More quinine into the finish. But strangely flat in terms of taste. Body is on the lighter side. Thin with some residual slickness. Fizzy carbonation. Dry finish. Overall it's a bit of a damp squib. Not overly juicy, lacks crispness or an edge. Bland.
3.5 Pour from a 12oz can with a nifty 360 degree top. You don't really need a glass with one of these cans - unless you want to see how the brew looks. And it looks deep golden amber with medium white head, good lacing. Aroma is caramel, resin, floral and spice notes. Taste is moderate caramel up front with a moderate grass, floral and spice bitterness emerging quickly. More malt in the middle with continued grass and spice; modest citrus emerges at the end and moderate resin flourishes in the finish. Really nice palate - smooth, creamy, very enjoyable. This is a rock solid APA.
3.2 Draft @ Nebraska- Pours clear gold, white head. This one is all about the bitter hop notes. Finishes dry.
3.6 Sampler at brewpub. Pours golden with a white head. Leaves a shitload of lacing in the glass. Nice citrus, grapefruit notes on the nose and tongue. Finished with a touch more of the citrus. Nicely solid.
3.7 Golden with white head. Earthy fruity hop aroma and taste. Notes: on tap at the brewpub, June ’17
3.0 6%ABV. Pale ale. Poured out deep gold. 8SRM. Nose is refreshing with the fruity aroma of lychees. Mouthfeel is carbonated. Palate is malty. Hops are spicy and tangy. Finished brief without much hop character.
3.2 Draft at the original location. 4 oz. clear amber / golden color with a small white head. Aroma of fruity hops, Carmel mall, and maybe an herbal note. Taste is mild pale grain, very light caramel, low bitterness. It may not blow your hair back but classic example of the style. Simple.
3.1 Pours a thin head on a hazy straw body. Aroma is pine and grapefruit. Taste is mellow, tends malty with a good balance. Texture is crisp.
3.8 appearance: clear medium gold, a finger of creamy-to-frothy near white head, decent lacing. taste: grapefruit, nectarine, grass, hint of pie crust or cracker. finish: light caramel, white toast, grapefruit, light marmalade, some hay and floral honey. finish: assertively bitter but clean, a bit dry. notes: Great example of the style. No particular aspect stands out strongly, but it’s very drinkable with all flavors in balance. Can from the Rare Beer Club.
2.6 Hazy with some sediment. White head fizzles. Bitter sweet hoppy flavor. Tingy backbone. Almost sour.
3.6 tangerine light Amber color. Light super hoppy lots of tangerine in finish.
3.4 12 oz. can at Banger’s. Poured hazy orange with thin white head. Light fruity citrus flavor. Sweet malt.
2.7 Light amber beer with a billowing foamy off white head. Nose of pine, orange peel, and cracker. Flavor is bright with citrus pith, soap, and something a bit astringent. The combination of flavors is a little odd. Not my favorite.
3.6 Aroma: herbs and weak citrus, pineapple. Appearance: hazy golden color and white head. Taste: medium herbal bitterness, weak citrus notes, pineapple, nice malty backbone, semi-dry. Palate: medium body and medium carbonation, bitter finish. Overall: Nice PA, drinkable.
2.8 Can:   Soft amber, orangish, thin to moderate white head, spotty lacing.   Somewhat of soft pixie stix like sweetness on the nose.   Faint hop.   Stale and cardboardy like start to this one.   Little hop profile.   Not bright at all.   Seems dull with some stale wet hops or something.   A bit dank.   Moderate body and mouthfeel.   Dank finish, sweaty, wet hops and a bit of cardboard.   Not a fan...
3.5 12 fl. oz. can bought at Craft Beer Kontor, Hannover, 3,79 Euro. Strange small open hole. Unclear dark golden in the glass, small white head. Fruity nose, some pine. Taste starts floral fruity, a mix of mango, grapfruit, pine and honey with a malty background and pleasant bitterness. Crisp. Long lasting taste, increasing citrus in the second part. Really nice.
3.4 Can, pours dark gold with a lasting thin head and a lightly fruity nose with just a hint of metal. Full bodied for the style, yet also dry, hints of white grape, lemon, white pepper and honey, rather tasty.
3.3 12 oz. can pours a lightly foggy orange-amber with a loose disc of bubbles. Nose is lemon furniture polish, honey, resin and buttered toast. Tastes of honey, toast, earthy tea with lemon, resin and a hint of peppery citrus zest. Light-medium body has medium-high carbonation and a drinkable balance.
