4.1 Bottle. Bright and shiny pour of golden amber. Firm but thin roiling head of white foam. Nice outdoorsy aromas of grass and fresh leaves. Slick mouthfeel and bountiful hoppy goodness in the drink. Nice spicy finish. Good schtuff. (#5409, 1/8/2014)
3.3 Bottle:   Amber hued straw, thin to moderate frothy white head, nice lacing.   Musty spiced hopped up nose.   A little dank, aged citrus peel and pith perhaps.   Soft sweet citrus start, pale hop bitterness.   Comes across as stale and musty, not bright nor vibrant, with muted citrus spices.   Moderate to full body and mouthfeel.   Dull citrusy finish.   I suppose its a bit herbal, but not much about this says fresh flowers.   Damn...
3.2 Floral aroma with malty undertones. Pours hazy orange with off white head. Medium bitterness with a crisp finish. Average IPA. Nothing outstanding but very drinkable.
3.5 Pours a finger of head on a cloudy straw colored body. The aroma is lemon and grapefruit. Nice. The taste is mild lemon bitterness with a little sweetness to it. The texture is light and airy with only a little carbonation. Great texture with nice flavor and aroma. Solid.
3.8 Bottle - large thick head, hazy medium gold color, earthy hop aroma and flavor, mild floral notes, dry finish - very good overall
4.1 Bottle share at Proof. Hazy creamsicle color with thin white head and thin white collar. Aroma is vaguely tropical fruit hops, and a good medium malt presence. Taste follows aroma very closely. Good medium body, medium carbonation. Surprisingly good. New Belgium is hit or miss for me, and this was a hit.
3.4 Pours orange, floral, grassy, and light citrus. Tastes is similar, light citrus and floral notes. Medium light bready malts. Tasty beer.
3.0 Bottle: Poured hazy orange with a huge fast dissipating head. Aroma is skunky dank hops. Taste is harsh hops and loads of malt.
3.5 22oz bottle. Poured an amber color with an averaged sized off white head. Floral hops, grassy, pine and some citrus in teh finish.
3.8 Pours a hazy golden yellow with bubbly white head that leaves light lace. Aroma is zesty hops, citrus and garlic hint of herbal notes. Taste follows, hint of pale malt on the back end. Quickly bitter end, medium mouth and carbonation. Solid.
3.5 Almost like a hoppy farmhouse, with the flower and grass combo on the different side for an IPA. Not all that bitter, a bit sweet and light bodied.
3.2 From bottle to glass! Aroma floral and pours a gold with a light head. Taste is hoppy with heavy carbonation.
3.6 Bottle. The nose on this is very nicely hoppy, and hits you immediately with a great floral aroma. The taste is a little bitter, but reminds me a lot of Earl Grey tea, especially in the aftertaste. I happen to like Earl Grey, so that works, but I can’t quite get over the tea taste. Odd, but fairly pleasant.
3.2 It poured a clear amber color with a white head. The aroma was of herbal, floral hops and sweet caramel malts. The taste was of herbal hops and caramel malts. It was medium bodied with a decent balance. Good stuff.
3.8 Pours a lighter orange almost yellow color. Notes of grass and herbs with lots of catty hops and fresh air. Good back end hop bite.
3.9 Pours clear copper / orange with a very soapy off-white head. The aroma is very herbal and fruity in the hop department. There is also a bit of tangerine and minor malt that offers some balance. It has a medium body with smooth huskiness and soft, but abrasive carbonation. Really like the mouthfeel. The flavor starts with a rough spiciness, earthy herbs, some nectar fruit, dry caramel malt and some berries. The finish has lots of dry herbal traits. Solid IPA.
3.7 22oz bottle pours a pale amber color with a bit of head. Strong hoppy aroma. A little floral. Intense hoppy flavor without much depth.
3.6 Bottle. Cloudy gold/orange with a fizzy, off-white head. Delicate aroma of citrus, toasted grain, floral hops, grapefruit. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet and moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Lingering bitterness. The aftertaste leaves notes reminiscent of Fat Tire. A bit heavy-handed bitterness in the finish, but overall it doesn’t wipe out the taste buds.
4.0 Super bright and clean all around. First thought is of perfume. Very crisp, clean malt that gets out of the way of the hops. Nice new hop option. This one will be showing up in a lot more beers. Just stoopidly great aroma. flavor doesn’t live up to it, but you get to smell it while drinking it, so that score goes up. A nicely made hop display - and great hop.
3.8 Hazy light golden coloured body with a pleasant two centimetre tall pale white head. Aroma of dry and grassy hops, light wheat and malts, all with a touch of peaches and apricots and a light citrus note. Light to Medium-bodied; Dry, herbal hop flavours at first with a grassy malt note, some light fruits and a subdued, yet refined finish. Aftertaste shows some dry and grassy notes with a hint of light herbs, some pepper and a relatively pungent yeast characteristic. Overall, a nice and refined IPA that shows more grass, herbs and saison than an hops and pure out IPA, but the balance is struck quite nicely and I’d recommend this if you can find it still! I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Arrowine in Arlington, Virginia on 12-September-2013 for US$4.99 sampled at home in Washington on 17-November-2013.
3.3 Golden with good lace. Mildly sweet hop profile. Fresh and dry, earthy, hearty bitterness at the end, decent.
3.2 A bit abrasive. Not your most floral hopfest. Bitter and chalk like, with notes of scotch tape. Finishes clean.
3.6 Pours light golden with a nice floral, grassy hop aroma. Taste is light, but nice with floral flavor, and stone fruit. Nice palate.
3.3 Bottled sample in San Antonio. Hoppy but a milder strain of hops. Orange in colour. Tasty ipa.
3.3 22 oz. bomber. It pours a rather cloudy orange color with an off white head. The aroma is very nice and pretty much as described. Lemon, fresh cut parlsey, florals. Pretty subtle and pleasant. The flavor is a bit doughy and flabby. There’s a decent level of hop bitterness, but not enough flavor. Mostly just florals and a touch of grass. More flabby dough in the finish. This may be an old bottle.
3.7 22 ounce bottle. Pours a golden amber with a one inch beige head that lasts. Taste is of malt, hops, citrus, grapefruit, grass, herbs, dandelion and caramel. Similar, cleaner aroma. Has a nice, creamy body. The finish has a nice bitterness and dryness to it. A very good beer. Drinkable, refreshing and satisfying.
3.7 31st October 2013 Hazy gold - amber beer with a good pale cream coloured head. Palate is smooth with fine minerally carbonation. Lactose sweet smooth malt. That typical Aramis hop flavour here, light aniseed and herb with floral and piney flavours. However compared to other Aramis beers it is much less bitter and thus allows the unusual hop flavours to shine through. Nicely joined up and tasty.
3.0 Bottle from whole foods santa barbara. I was surprised this was described as a "dry" IPA because I found it to be much more full-bodied, with more malts to give it a somewhat muddy, mushy toasty roasty result. the hops are not forward, they are somewhere buried in the mix. This beer has a lot of complex flavors, but i would not have pegged it as an IPA. As a hophead, I am glad I had a bomber, but am satisfied with one.
3.7 22 ounce bottle into signature globe glass, best before 1/5/2014. Pours moderately hazy golden orange color with a 2 finger dense and fluffy off white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass. Aromas of tangerine, lemon peel, pineapple, orange zest, floral, grass, light caramel, light pine, bread, and herbal/floral earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of hop notes with a moderate malt balance; and solid strength. Taste of tangerine, lemon peel, pineapple, orange zest, floral, grass, light caramel, bread, light pine, and herbal/floral earthiness. Fair amount of earthy floral/pine bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of tangerine, lemon zest, pineapple, floral, grass, light caramel, bread, light pine and herbal earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Nice balance and complexity citrus/tropical/earthy hop flavors; with a good malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a smooth, moderately crisp, and lightly sticky mouthfeel that is good. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a slight warming present after the finish. Overall this is a nice IPA. Good balance and complexity of unique hop flavors with moderate malt balance; and very smooth and crisp to drink for the ABV. Not as bold as I was expecting for an IPA, but it was pleasant and enjoyable.
3.7 Dark copper. Nice thick foamy head. Smells like fresh baked bread. delicious. Dry. I’m a fan.
