New Belgium Hop Kitchen #6 - Odell FOCOllaboration Pale Ale
Hop kitchen series #6. We teamed up with our hometown hop heroes at Odell to brew a FOrt COllins collaboration. Our proximity allowed sharing of ingredients to create this unique Pale Ale. If only we could employ prairie dogs that in habit the space between us to courier the Fawcett malt, an Odell standard, we used to complement our favored Centennial, Cascade and Citra hops. Best enjoyed with a neighbor!

3.6Conyers, Ga. - Sigman Bottle Shop - 22 oz bomber. Medium copper pour, slight haze, nice off-white head. Aroma is fresh and fragrant with some orange marmalade accents, a touch of light mint and spruce. Full-bodied flavor with a nice malt and hop balance. Some light citrus bitterness, a touch of cake mix sweetness, some caramel-like maltiness, a back end of orange marmalade. Nice thickish mouthfeel. Decent collaboration.
3.5Draft at Big Bobs - pours orangey gold , bright white head . Lots of citrus and cat pee . Well balanced . Not bad .
3.5Bottle from Legacy Liquor, Vancouver
Beautiful color, copper and amber, bright, hazy, with small head. Nice aroma, the hops are citrusy and piney, there are also some cereals. Dry mouthfeel; it has a hint of caramel and grains, but the flavor is not developed much; the bitterness is regularly high, but the hop provides just a hay feeling.
Good beer, quite clean; I prefer fruitier ones though.
4.5Appearance: pours with a thick off white head, the beer is a clear average gold color, good retention, good lacing
Aroma: very resinous, grass, pine, citrus, very strong Aroma, smells very good, floral, complex hop aroma
Taste: grass, citrus, pine, some spice, flowers, bitter
Palate: lively carbonation, bitter grass aftertaste, leaves mouth dry, lighter mouthfeel
Overall: pretty amazed by this beer, amazing hop flavors, bitter but the focus is on the hop flavors instead, very complex, delicious

3.6Thin white quick dissipating off-white head atop an orange amber body. Nose and flavour of potent Hi-C hops. Very balanced and honest. Lovely beer.
2.8On tap @ Provisions Market. Copper pour with white foam. Nose is Fruit Loops and caramel water. Soap, floral, and a lot of pine. Decent citrus character. Flavor is pretty disappointing. Sweet, sugary caramel malts all over the place. Peach, orange marmalade, and some pine bitterness. A bit of soap and floral hops.

Clear dark amber body with a durable bine colored head that left fine lacing.
Nice hoppy aroma. APA intensity, as is the flavor. Mild bitterness.
Smooth, medium body.
4.0Bottle. An orange-amber pour, the head is thick, frothy and sticks to the glass quite well. The earthen aroma invokes the deep woods, pine, dirt. The beer drinks with a robust body, and is full of nice mountainy bitterness and a meaty, malty backbone. Oomph. (#5733, 9/13/2014)
4.0Lovely aroma with a touch of bubblegum.beautuliful sheet lace, hazy brown. Really good pale ale. I was expecting something with a little higher gravity given it's a collab but this is a fairly basic, albeit excellent, APA.
3.8Poured from a bottle it is clear golden with a slight head. The aroma is citrus and apricot. The taste is strong and bitter abd citrusy
3.8From a 22 oz bottle shared at home. Pours a clear gold with an off white head. Fruity nose. Flavors of orange and grapefruit. Smooth but bitter finishing. Really refreshing.

3.4FoCollaboration Pale Ale is a peachy bronze colored beer that has a firm head of off white bubbles of various sizes. Nose is a bit of apricot with a crisp bite of hops behind it. Taste is initially quite dry but the flavor broadens on mid taste to the end of the taste. the beer has a good malt base that has some nice toasted oat presence. the hops are good and not too overpowering. just a smidge of bitters on the finish. a nice beer.
4.5Pours a pale amber with one fat finger of pillowy off-white head, great retention and well-defined lacing. Nose is bright piney and citrusy hops, light malt. Taste is balanced sweet malt, floral and citrusy hops, tropical fruit. Medium body, smooth texture, low carbonation and a long bitter finish.
Really excellent APA! Beautiful bright hops balanced with just the right amount of light sweet malt. The beautiful dense head keeps the aromas and flavour from dissipating no matter how long you linger over the pint.

3.622oz bottle 8/1/14 (Woodmans-Waukesha)-Pours a clear orangish amber with a decent sized head. Aroma of hops and malt. Taste of the same. This medium bodied brew is well balanced and goes down smooth.
3.4Aroma is clove, slight earthiness and light sweetvmalts. Taste is light sweet malts met with a well balanced but slightly favoring a smooth bitterness that is very nice. Appearance is a gold / brown with a pearl head that retains fairly well.
4.1Bomber. Pours a clear copper/amber in color. Big off-white head leaves a ton of lacing. Aroma is earthy, citrus hops, a bit of sweet malt. Taste is a bit sweet with caramel malts, tropical fruits, citrus, and pine. Very well balanced pale ale that is much closer to an IPA. I’m friggin’ loving this @ $1.99 a bottle!
4.1Draught keg from tap takeover at the Three Johns on 24 Aug. Gentle flowery hop aroma with a touch of Citra. Creamy light bubbles. Bursts into flavour in the mouth - lots of Citra but it’s nicely tempered with other C-hops to give a very drinkable & pleasing blend.
4.2Golden/amber appearance with a thick white head. Aroma is light, grassy hops. Flavor is pleasant hops with minor bitterness and a mild sweet malt finish. Well balanced and very drinkable.
