MIGHTY ARROW Pale Ale provides lots of pleasurable sniffs from Amarillo and Cascade hops with a fetching honey malt base. This is our brewed tribute to Arrow, Kim’s Aussie/Border Collie mix who ran (literally) New Belgium for 12 years. When she wasn’t patrolling the brewery grounds, she was famous for her office visits: She never met a tummy rub she didn’t like. Atta girl Arrow.

2.6Bottle. Pours a beautiful golden color with a fresh spring hop aroma. Taste is mostly an IPA however with a very strong aspirin finish. The company claims honey malt but I could barely taste any malt let alone honey.
3.8Bottled as part of a sample pack. A really tasty ale that had a nice copper color and ample head. Sad there were only 4 in the sampler. Good beer!
3.0Bottle. Pours clear light orange with a medium foamy head that lingers nicely. Aromas of sweet bread, flowers, and light citrus. Taste is too sweet for an APA. Sugary honey, flowers, sweet bread, and almonds. Very dry finish.
3.5Some citrus hops and a good malt backbone. Well done package, great session pale ale. Light to medium bitter finish. Bottle.
2.9An okay beer. Very fresh aroma with a hint of floral. Would like a little more flavor to go along with the dryness
3.5Just a good but not great beer. Not up to the normal standard New Belgium has set. Blah.
3.4On tap at New Belgium. Appearance: finger of white head that lasts, amber color, clear, great lacing. Aroma: toasty sweet malt, light fruit, yeasty leather. Palate: light body, average carbonation. Taste: dark malty sweetness, slightly toasty.
3.0Bottle from sampler pack. Pours clear gold with creamy white head. Aroma is floral and citrus notes, cereal and biscuit malts, light spice, and some lemon zest. Flavor is dry malts forward, light fruit esters, light floral hops, and faint toast; dry finish. Light/medium and medium carbonation.
3.3From a bottle. Pours very clear light copper with a foamy frothy off white head and lots of lacing. Tastes malty, nutty, lightly hopped. Dry aftertaste. Light/medium body and low carbonation. Smells like sweet malt.

Poured a caramel amber clear color with 3-to-4 fingers of frothy khaki-white head. Lots of bubbles coming up. A healthy dose of layered foamy lacing along the sides of the glass. Very good retention.
Smelled citrus hops, apricot, peach, floral hops, caramel, honey wheat, lime, pine and some roasty malts.
Tasted a bit darker than the smell. Got caramel, roasted nuts, floral hops, honey wheat, lighter citrus hops, light apricot and faint pine.
Light body. Creamy-to-oily texture. Average carbonation. Abrupt, but refreshing finish.
Just a very nice pale ale. Would definitely have it again.
3.3Great pale ale. Nothing exceptional, but eagerly quaffable and on par with the high quality brews that New Belgium continues to produce.
3.7Bottle at friend’s wedding. Aroma was slightly sweet malts, nice toasted notes and plenty of sweet, pine hop character. Flavor was nice, easy to drink hops and malts. Well balanced. Pretty easy to drink. I think this one would be easy for the newcomer but interesting enough to keep the serious beer drinker entertained.
3.4Not a big fan of heavy hops. Pretty rich golden pour with a little bit of white head. Hop bitterness last a while in the after taste.
3.0Pours golden. Nice aroma but very light. Slight citrus hop with even slighter biscuity malt aroma. Flavor is just like aroma; very light. Nothing offensive, however. Good beer for a hot day after work or doing yard work. Light body, shy hop bite, very light but good nonetheless.
3.5This is a very nice crisp refreshing ipa that isnt too over powering, a enjoyable brew that goes down easy
3.0Poured from a bottle with a yellow color and a foamy white head. Has a light hoppy citrus aroma. Unfortunately I didn’t get much of a flavor from this. There was a touch of citrus and hops. It does have a nice medium body mouthfeel. Overall just okay. Maybe a revisit will change my mind, as I did have this after having a couple of other beers with strong flavors.
3.1Pleasant, innocuous mouthfeel with some lemon grass notes. There’s some moderate, fleeting hop complexity going on, but not enough to overwhelm the style. Decent brew that would pair well with most foods.
4.112 ounce bottle into signature globe glass, best before 5/11/2014. Pours fairly crystal clear deep golden amber color with a 1-2 finger dense off white head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big tangerine, grapefruit, lemon zest, orange peel, floral, grass, light pine, light caramel, bread, and floral earthiness. Damn nice aromas with plenty of bright hop notes with moderate malt balance; and good strength. Taste of big tangerine, grapefruit, lemon zest, orange peel, floral, grass, light pine, light caramel, bread, and floral earthiness. Light floral/pine bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of tangerine, grapefruit, lemon zest, orange peel, floral, grass, light caramel, and floral earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Damn nice flavor complexity of bright citrus hops and moderate malt sweetness; with a nice malt/hop flavor balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth and moderately crisp mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a slight warming present after the finish. Overall this is an excellent pale ale. All around great complexity and balance of bright citrus hops and moderate malt sweetness; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A very enjoyable offering.
3.5Bottle. Lightly earthy orange malt and orange peel/pine aroma. Golden yellow with moderate off-white head. Sweet orange malt and mildly bitter pine/orange peel flavor. Lingering bitterness in the finish. Hops subdued.
3.3Light with foamy white head. Mild hop aroma of pine and citrus that does not foreshadow a big hop assault. True to that aroma, it had a sweet malty base an decent hop profile but not overpowering. Perfect for me. This is one of my favorites from this brewery now that they discontinued Skinny Dip. It's a great session beer with enough flavor to be satisfying.
3.3Bottle. Clear yellow with a foamy white head. Aromas of citrus, pine, resin, spice, biscuit and light grapefruit. Flavor is the same with a slightly dry finish. Light bodied.
3.4Bottle:
Pours clear, honey-gold with a tall, frothy, off-white head.
Grapefruit/orange (peel) aroma...a hint of vinyl.
Malty, soft, light caramel/honey flavor.
Mild and easy citrus hops, grain, florals.
A really nice, mild APA.
Good.
3.1revival bottle in a folly pack. pours a clear bronze color. aroma is piney and resiny. flavor is more malty, but a bitter hoppy finish. completely unspectacular
2.1Nothing special here. Kind of an unremarkable pale ale. Nothing too bad though. Plain biscuit malt flavor and very light hop aroma. Light flavor and medium body that fade quickly.
4.2Not sure why this has such low ratings and no idea why the dont make it regularly anymore. Good stuff
3.712 oz Bottle poured into a pint glass. Appearance is clear, orange color with medium, off-white head. Aroma is full of floral and citrus hops - orange and grapefruit notes - and some bready malts. Taste is similar with a good sweet malt base, grain, and a mild citrus hop bitterness. Palate is medium-bodied, very smooth texture, good balance with only a mild dryness, smooth, semi-dry finish.
3.5Not a bad pale ale. The balance is pretty impressive considering the hop bite. A nice earthy, biscuit malt background.
3.1Rated on 01-30-2010 (Draft) When poured, the head is small, off-white, mostly lasting, transparent body, fair amount of lacing, very little visible carbonation, and a yellow hue. The Aroma is malty, citrus, fruity hops. Ditto for the Taste with a dry finish. The Palate is tingly and this beer is medium bodied. In conclusion, this beer is quaffable and not overly hoppy tasting. It is an okay APA, but the taste did not leave me wanting to seek this beer out again as it needs more flavor.
3.5This is a solid APA it has a nice balance across the board. Super mild honey, and little hop.
2.6Amber color and fairly light. Has floral smell and taste with also an earthiness. A little to bitter for my taste.
