New Belgium Trippel

New Belgium Trippel

Our Trippel has always been a big, beautiful Belgian-style ale. This golden beer opens with a bold blast of spicy Noble hops, courtesy of Saaz and Hallertau Mittlefruh, and gives way to the fruity aromas offered by our traditional Belgian yeast. Brewed with Pilsner and Munich malts, Trippel is classically smooth and complex, and sings with a high-note of sweet citrus before a pleasantly dry finish delivers a warm, strong boozy bite. Give Trippel a sip to get you smiling.

4.8 Very good definitely tastes like a Belgium. Had it in a bottle in Texas 2021 at Christmas
3.7 Spicy fruit aroma in a golden pour. Rich spicy fruit body with hints of banana and cloves. A big (non-subtle) example of the style.
3.7 Nice aroma of candied fruit and some spices. Clear gold color with a nice white head. Thick. Nice sweetness up front- candy cane- spices and some sweet malt. Dry bitterness with some warming from alcohol. Nice carbonation with a finish that is sweet and balanced with smooth bitterness. Good.
4.2 Loved it. Outstanding trippel and not very expensive.
3.7 Flaska från systembolaget. Gyllengul öl med vitt skum. Trevlig öl med fina toner av aprikos, jäst, örter och kryddor. Torr fin avslutning.
4.0 Überraschend fruchtig in Nase und Trunk. Dann typisch tripplig anwärmend, lecker. Kopf, Mitte, Abgang komplett verschieden - astreines Bierchen.
3.6 Belgian yeast and some banana aroma. The taste is similar but above all spicy. Nice, nut not nice-nice. But still, nice, with a +.
3.8 Gyllene, klar. Doft av banan o citrus. Banan o kryddor dominerar smaken, tydlig beska avslutar.
3.9 Golden color, small white head. Aromas of yeast, bananas, spices and wheat. Taste of yeast, bananas, spices, bread and alcohol.
3.6 Flaska. Snyggt öl! Stiltypiskt. Framträdande jäst. Kaksötma från malten. Samtidigt torrt. Gräs, örter.
3.5 Pour from bottle is clear gold with thin long lasting lace head. Dry yeast and cereal notes with a dry sweet finish. Light bodied and good carbination.
3.4 Tap at NBB, Fort Collins, July 2016. Pours slightly hazy golden with a creamy, off-white head. Aroma: yeast, fruit, hint of coriander. Taste: moderate sweet, dry, yeasty, wit type banana esters, little sulphur note. Medium body with soft carbonation.
3.6 Couleur or foncé, peu de mousse, très gazeuse. Arômes de houblon, bois.
3.6 Fles 33cl thuis. Yeasty, geel fruit, banaan, citrus, beetje bubblegumzoetje, matig kruidig, fruitig, licht droog, hoptonen. (30-4-2021).
4.0 Good taste and smell, a little too light on the body and mouthfeel.
4.0 pretty standard trippel
4.0 Nose just like St. Bernardus Trippel ( a good thing)…slight lemon / grass notes, but slightly less Belgian yeast notes (important); lt. yellow hue, fine white head, velvet mouthfeel with medium fine carbonation, malt forward with some Belgian yeast taste with Coriander (could use more), background notes of lemon & orange, slightly dry malt finish with a slightly bitter pungency.
3.5 12 oz bottle. Smells of banana and bubble gum with a touch of herbal notes. Light orange with a light haze. Sweet, tastes of banana, earthy yeast. Sticky mouthfeel, slightly sweet finish. A nice strong sipper.
3.4 It tastes like a typical Belgian beer. All the hops are well blended. Spicy notes and present in the background. Well done!
4.1 Sweet, fruity, light, would drink again
4.1 8.5% Classic Belgian ale taste - slight bitterness
4.1 8/23/2020 originally rated beer. I'm not a big fan of Belgium beers, under some circumstances they can be good. This is one of those times. The yeast flavor is mild and between the IBUs and the ABV it makes for a nice balanced flavor. really good.
3.7 Bottle. Pours bronze with a finger of head. Banana, bubblegum yeast. Sweet fruity yeast, malty, mild bitterness on the finish. Very fruity yeast dominated. Not much hops involved. More like a Belgian strong than trippel. From that perspective I like it.
3.5 12 oz. bottle. Pours a bright yellow gold with a tight short white head quickly gone. Scents of sour yeast and lacquer. Big dank yeast driven flavors of barnyard and leather. Pretty nicely balanced. Mild carbonation and a very short finish. Pretty good.
3.0 Boozy Matilda
3.1 Early rating from Beer Buddy app
3.7 Bottle from Total Wine. Slightly hazy and golden in colour, with a thin, white, head. Aroma of yeasty gains, spices, ripe banana and leafy hops. Flavour had more grainy malts, coriander, a touch of bubble gum, a hint of lemon and lingering, boozy, finish. Very good.
3.7 Bottle from Total Wine in San Jose. Light amber color with small off-white foam. Some nice coriander and/or Belgian yeast phenolics in the aroma. Leans a little heavy. Leans dry. Odd sour bitterness from hops is a little off. Pretty good.
3.7 Clear golden pour with a thin white head and spots of lacing ..... aroma of sweet malts, grains, caramel malts, orange, light banana, hoppy/grass and citrusy hops ...... taste is of banana, orange, sweet malts, grainy with sweet caramel malts and grassy hops and a tad sugary ..... finish is dry and of banana, orange and grainy with lingering sweetness .... decent tripel abv is hidden well
