3.5 (Can, Platåkåtan, Åre, Sweden, 19 March 2018) Golden colour with frothy, white head. Fruity, hoppy nose with notes of citrus, grapefruit, resin and pine needles. Fruity, hoppy taste with citrus, tropical fruit, apricots, orange peel, pineapple, mango and a balanced citric bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a slight sweetness. Tasty and refreshing. Nice one.
3.4 Draft. Pours gold with a white head. Mild citric hops, low sweetness, and a little pithy bitterness. Not bad.
3.5 Fresh, slightly candied, malty aroma with some chili savoriness and herbaceousness. Yoked, embossed longneck, spooky label. Clear, marigold pour. Dry, herbal, oddly fruity and mineral. Pretty clean, just on the savory side. ABC Liquors, Bull Run.
3.2 bottle. Poured straw coloured with a rocky white head. Bold resiny hop aroma. Medium bodied, tight crisp carbonated mouthfeel. Hayish malts, grainy with flavours of grapefruit and apricot, a bit of pepper. A mild IPA.
3.5 BBD 3/18/18. Pours a clear light amber, slightly darker than golden. Quite outstanding head volume, very good retention and world class lacing. Rather weak nose that is only slightly better than good. Some pine, zest and fruit are present. Light medium body that is quite smooth and implies a bit of oily slickness. The carbonation / body balance is world class. The middle provides a burst of prickly effervescence. The finish is finely bubbled and rollicking producing a prickle that tingles the tongue. The flavor profile is very good and tasty. Intensity is a little weak while complexity is lacking. The flavor arrives in blended fashion with little separation. Balance is world class. Bitterness is mild and typical of an APA. The middle provides a little sweetness, so you can detect some sweet fruit. Bitterness is mostly herbal but does have a touch of bitter zest. The finish fades with a note of sweet zest.
3.2 Bottle->SA. Clear brite copper with small frothy white head. A: grains, dust, floral hops, caramel malt. Like a NM desert ground. T: spicy rye and floral hops, some citrus, some pine, caramel malt. All over the place. Eh.
3.5 Clear, golden pour with a white head. The aroma has citrus hops with some mild herbal notes. It has a light body with slightly oily texture and lively carbonation. The taste is mildly bitter with a quick finish.
3.8 355 cl, can conditioned, BB 22 JUL 2018. Slightly hazy, golden amber, thick slightly off-white head, medium carbonation, lots of sediments, nice lacing. Smells very similar to Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, bready, malty, citrusy and piny. Medium mouthfeel, pleasant "bite" from the bittering hops. Taste is very hoppy -- citrus, fruits and pine up front.
3.6 This is a pretty nice pale ale. It's not too big and the hop character is citrusy and bright. There's a kind of savory note underpinning it, which is not my favorite, but that is a distraction at worst. I could drink a few of these.
2.9 12oz bottle from Kroger (Staunton, VA). sweet grainy aromas, biscuity, orangey citrus, light lime. Clear orange with a fairly lasting white head. Mostly dry, some sweet grain, citrusy, ginger cookie, light white grape, light peach. Light-medium bodied.
3.6 Bottle from SB. Golden with a medium white head. Fruity and hoppy tones. Fruit, malt, hops and bitterness. medium body with a nice bitter / fruity finish.
3.7 Gyllenbrunt med fint skum. Veldig fruktig duft med tropiske frukter og sitrus. Frukt og karamell i smaken også. Veldig lettdrikkelig.
3.7 Bottle. Hazy orange with thick lacing whitish foam. Citrus, grain and toffee. Light bitterness, fruity, very light sweetness. Good balance.
4.2 Vodoo Ranger 8 hop pale ale med smak av citrus och tropiska frukter.
3.0 It was average. A little one-sided with a crisp light body. Hoppy with a minimal malt base.
3.5 Golden colour with rich white head. In smell orange, herbs, nice. Taste is rather light and well balanced in terms of style. Resembles tropical fruit, tangerine, mango.
3.3 17th Dec 2017, 355ml bottle into a La Chouffe tulip glass at my daughters place in California. Light amber/golden body, wispy white head and collar. Tropical fruit esters in the aroma, the taste also fruity, slight citrus leanings flavour wise. Liked it.
3.5 355ml can from Vinmonopolet Langnes. Frothy wite head to a misty golden body. Crocheted lacing down the glass. Fresh tropical fruity aromas, hints of citrus. Fruity hoppy taste of orange, peach, and grapefruit. Mid-dry, moderate bitter end. Refreshing and nice.(Tromsø 09.12.2017).
3.4 Pungent slinky aroma with pine and very faint fruits. Hazy mid golden body, the cap is a thin ring but is leaving some decent lacing. Palate is a bit thin, flavor is pine but the malts don’t show. Overall it’s ok, one dimensional and a bit thin for my tastes.
3.8 My Bottom Line: Biscuity cereals meet floral hops and their citrusy angles in this bubbly American Pale Ale. Further Personal Perceptions: -A sheet of foam decorates the glistening golden, lacing nicely all the way down the glass. -Leafy hop resins balance out the finish. -Malts also offer honeyed nuances. -Drinkability is high. Bottle.
2.7 Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a hazy peach color with a large foamy-soapy yellow-white head that left a bit of lacing. The aroma was dry leafy and gritty hops. The flavor was bitter, dry and earthy with leafy floral and herbal hops. Very long hoppy finish. Medium body. Meh.
3.4 0.355l can. Wants out if the can. Big white densely head over a blurry light orange colored body. Smells nice hoppy. Grapefruit citrus zest and hints of grass. A little apricot in the back. Tastes nice also. Lacks a little on the mouthfeel perhaps, soft watery. Nice carbonated. Old citrus, some orangey. Balanced and lightdrinkable. 17.11.2017
4.4 New Belgium Voodoo Ranger has a thin-to-medium, off-white head, a somewhat hazy, yellow-gold appearance, and low level glass lacing. The aroma is of melon-like hop resin, with white bread, and the flavor is similar and subdued. Mouthfeel is medium to heavy, and New Belgium Voodoo Ranger finishes mostly dry. RJT
3.5 12oz bottle. Poured a golden color with a smaller sized head. Citrus, fruity, and some pine.
3.9 can from galatea at stockholm fair. big white lasting head. clear solid yellow color. huge amd frrsh american hop aroma. bog fresh fruit hop taste. fruit sweetness but no lingering sweetnes
3.4 Bottle@2.26.17. Clear amber color with ivory foam. Spicy, citrus, floral, fruity aromas. Floral, citrus hoppy flavors with a dusty maltage __ good
3.4 Pours watery amber, very clear and foam reduces quickly. Nose has some citrus, mixed with tropical fruits, relatively mild and lets malt base to come out slightly as well. 8 different hops seem to be disappeared somewhere as taste, while mildly bitter, is relatively rounded and soft, even velvety. I do like it and its easy to drink, just doesn't wow me in any way. Good table beer.
3.4 Can @ The Bishops Arms Mollberg, Helsingborg 20171027. Fruity and hoppy, citrusy, pine needles, medium body with an oily texture. The finish is dry and fruity.
3.3 CAN. Clean orange, minimal foam head.. Citrus aroma, very soft.. Light malt body, good citrus hops, easy drinker.. Sourced cape cellars
3.7 Medium yellow pour, no real head. Nose is grapefruit and spruce. Bitter. Middle is orange zest, sweet citrus, unripe mango, light kilned malt. Finish is bitter.
