2.8 Piney, and floral vibes come through on this. Thin on the texture with grapefruity essence, with bitterness on the finish. However, this bitterness doesn't really last long to me. With this being a high abv brew, the alcohol is evident. This is just an okay brew. Not bad, just not one I'll revisit again in future.
3.4 How: Can. Fridge cold. BB: 20 NOV 2022 Head: white, two fingers. Colour: deep golden. Aroma: ripe citrus fruits, fruity, sugar, subtle spicy notes, some cereal notes. Taste: thin to medium body, average carbonation, citrus fruits, fruity, herbal, sugar, cereals, warm, subtle spicy notes. Long aftertaste like initial taste. Yeast used and probably high-ish fermenting temperature give some slight Belgian vibes. Kinda nice.
3.0 Bottle from Food Dog. Curious after being disappointed by Juice Force. Clear gold, big head, but very mild nose with a bit o' citrus. Flavor is barely-dank citrus-pine with big caramel and less bitterness than I expect from "imperial IPA." Drinkable, but seems mass produced with too much caramel and not enough hops.
3.6 Deep golden amber colour with a smooth body and low steady head. Hops, peaches, herbs, pine and mandarins in taste. String hoppy bitter finish
3.1 Can from Beer Republic. Aroma is resinous hop with grapefruit, pine resin, malt, some caramel and booze. Flavour is pretty sweet with a bitter boozy finish. Medium body. Too sweet and boozy to really satisfy.
3.2 Moc silne
3.6 355ml can. Poured clear golden in color. Aroma of citrusy hops and resiny bitterness. Malty, full bodied. Fresh or not works today. Easy drinking.
3.3 Pours a clear light yellow, a half inch of very dense meringue-like foam. Aroma is piney and floral. Taste is crisp, citrusy, with some pine and resin, dry and hoppy and bitter on the finish. Mouthfeel is a bit oily but then oddly feels sticky. Alcohol is well hidden.
2.6 Mildly bitter with minimal flavors.
3.5 12oz can from a 12 Beers of Christmas gift from blondredhead. Poured into a snifter style glass. Golden and orange blend together to form a pleasant color with little to no haze and plenty of white head and lacing. This beer shows well. Aroma is slight pine with citrus but nose is understated. Taste leans on citrus rind bitterness with resiny, sticky mouthfeel. There's an undercurrent of sweetness present but the finish is all resiny bitterness. Alcohol present. Something doesn't work for me here...maybe just needs a little more sweetness to create better balance or maybe just needs to put the Stone treatment and fully commit to hoppy bitterness. Tries to thread the needle and it doesn't quite come together.
3.0 I definitely feel this is a one dimensional-beer, that is bitterly hop-heavy from start to finish. You really can't taste the alcohol, but I am looking for more complexity from an IPA.
3.5 Blik 35,5cl thuis. Pine, sinaasappel, malten, zoeten, fruitig, bloemig, licht harsig, licht plakkerig, flink hoppig, bitter. (29-12-2021).
3.9 568ml can, drank in California on Christmas Eve 2021. My last beer before Santa arrives. Poured (twice) into an old Corsendonk stemmed tulip glass. Clean and clear golden/amber body, smooth snow white crown on top. Nose is piney with oranges, taste similar, but with a good malt bill for some sweetness. Boozy and easy to drink.
3.1 Can shared by Toni, thanks. Short white head over a clear solid golden color beer. Firm flower hop aroma. The bitterness is medium to firm but well balanced with a medium body and some residual sweetness.
4.0 Can at DIA. Pours clear amber with a large, frothy white head, long retention. Heavy orange, pine and grapefruit hops, heavy hop bitterness, medium bread malt, light alcohol and a medium sweet finish. Full body and moderate carbonation.
3.6 Golden color with a small white head that left light lacing on the glass. Floral hops, citrus, pine, herbal, grapefruit, and light booze.
3.6 The aroma is malty, cereal, slight hops. Pours a clear light golden with white head mostly diminishing, good lacing. The taste is a light bitter. The body is medium full, the texture creamy, the carbonatin average, very nice. Overall I am pleased with the flavor and feel of this beer, the aroma and appearance don't seem like much but a nice brew where the 9% doesn't hit hard.
3.7 12oz bottle pours out golden topped with a sand head. Nose is dank pine citrus hops and some sweet malts. Taste is more of the nice dank hops grassy citrus pine and a caramel malt.
3.6 Can 33 cl, poured into a Jopen glass. Pours a clear copper with a medium white head and an aroma of pine, sweet malts, grapefruit, roasted malts and rum. The taste is medium sweet
3.9 Oh, I've had some of the variants before, but never the original. Here's a 12 oz. bottle. Foamy pour over a deep golden beer color. Pine and reason hop smell is kind of luxuriant. Taste is equally hoppy, very little outside the basic, what appears to be, Centennial & Cascade. Maybe a little citrus edge, but rather clearly predates the fads for New England or Hazy IPAs.
3.3 Good Imperial IPA. Citrus and pine notes. Good bitterness and a little harsh. Medium weight.
2.9 Demasiado aromatizada para mi gusto, pero intersante.
1.6 This is a one dimensional beer that is bitter from start to finish. Mouth feel is passable and not too heavy for a 9%er but lacks any depth or character.
3.3 From can to glass. Flavor and aroma are both with citrus and pine, and there is caramel in the back half of the flavor.
3.5 12 pack from the local Market Basket. Pours a crystal clear gold with a white head. So unusual to be able to see through a beer, these days. Not much lace. Pine, earth and grass aroma. Some floral notes. Taste leans more to modest sweetness, biscuit and honey. Medium bodied. Easy drinking. Alcohol is totally hidden. Could be dangerous.
3.2 An orange beer, a head is big and blond. Aroma has citrus, some wood. Taste has wood, light fruitness and citrus, mild bitterness. Medium bodied. Boring, I don't know what has been the idea of this beer.
3.1 Nice hoppy aftertaste.
4.0 Smooth
3.7 Great lasting head and pungent hops scent. Drinks very smooth for 9 abv, tons of hop flavor with some alcohol afterwards. Pine like grass flavor in the middle not too bad. Tasty brew I would buy again but regular ipa or haze ipa is better with flavor.
