This “Nobel-Pilsner” is the creation of our brewmaster. He brought special yeast from Bavaria, combined it with Wisconsin barley and the finest Bavarian and American hops. Then employing traditional brewing methods, this Pilsner is finished with a long cold rest in our cellars.
Expect this bier to be creamy and full-bodied with a smooth finish.

2.8Bottle from Woodman’s foods Onalaska. Pouts golden with a thin white head. Leaves no lacing in the glass. Slight grass note on nose. Has a grassy sweetness on the tongue. Finishes clean. Solid but not my favorite example of style.
4.0Mildly clear golden color with a filmy head. Aroma consists of yeast, biscuits, pale malts, faint floral hops and a slightly sweet-grassy scent. Flavor is yeasts, sweet & pale malts, and a slight grassiness. Very sweet tasting for a Pilsener. Body is fairly light but the carbonation packs a punch, it helps the flavor but at the same time, gives it some stinginess. A great tasting Pilsener overall!
4.0A very delicious pils. A good crisp bite, above average but balanced hops. Slightly dark. Very refreshing.
3.2Poured a deep, clear gold with minimal head and lacing. Aroma was nice mix of malts and slightly sweet and fruity hops. Taste was malty up front with a moderate hop finish. Mouth was good. Overall, a fairly decent pilsner although I did not think the hops were as predominant as they could have been.
3.512 ounce bottle. Pours a clear gold with a small white head. Aroma of malt and grain. Taste is malt, grain, grass, and fruit. Very nice Pilsener.
3.4Bottle. Pours clear pale orange - I was surprised at the amount of color in this one. Medium off-white head and nice lacing on the glass. Aroma is grain, floral notes, hay, grass. Flavor has a sharp bite to it, grass, grain, a touch of zesty bitterness. Not much sweetness. Light body, tons of carbonation. Pretty damn good.... for a Pilsener. Probably the best I have had that does not come from.... Ummmmm... well France. Check my ratings if you don’t believe me!
4.012 oz. bottle thanks to a friend’s trip to the brewery. Pours a clear golden color with a finger of white head that settles into a film and leaves good lacing. Aroma is malty; plenty of pils malts, dough, straw, and cracker. A little grass. The flavor has pils and biscuity malts, slightly sweetened cereal, light melon fruit, grass, and straw. Light-bodied, with moderate carbonation and a clean, malty mouthfeel. Holy smokes. This is fantastic.
3.312oz bottle courtesy of MadBeerBaron! I read the description on the bottle and after seeing them say the body should be full and creamy I had to dock them a few points, still a tasty pils with good clean finish
2.7Very average. I enjoy the offerings from this brewery very much, but this pilsner is pretty run of the mill. Drinkable, but nothing spectacular.
4.2Appearance: Pours a clear yellow gold with visible rising carbonation. A top sits a very small tight cap of white.
Aroma: Bread dough, grain, honey like malt and herbal hops.
Taste: Honey, grassy and spicy herbal hops, toasty malt. Finishes with clean bitterness and a slight twang.
Mouthfeel: Moderate carbonation. Full bodied.
Overall: I’m sure I sound like a broken record by now, but I don’t care. New Glarus knocks every damn craft lager they make out of the park. When you make a beer around 5%, it’s very hard to hide flaws. No sweet corn, no twang, no cooked vegetables. Just clean perfection.
3.6Nice clear golden pour with a thin white head. Aroma is grainy, crisp, clean and smooth. Some good hop character. Nice noble hop aroma. Grassy, clean. Really good.
4.0Overall a nice taste, clean aftertaste that doesn’t stick around long. It’s a little fruitier than I normally like, but generally decent.
2.5Bottle. Corn/barley malt aroma. Golden yellow with giant head. Sweet corny barley malt and had flavor. Medium body. Drinkable but a disappointment - more like a mediocre pale lager.
3.6Bottle. Caramel color with an off white head. Sweet citrus and hay. Full of flavor and no skunk. Wish all pilsners were like this.
3.112oz bottle. Pours a clear golden color with a finger of fluffy white head. Aroma of grassy and bit of a fruitiness. Taste is crisp, sweet citrus, and light honey.
3.4Bottle. Pours a rich golden orange with lots of bubbles and a good foam. Aroma is very light, just getting a little bit of grain, corn, and some alcohol. The softness of the beer hits me right away, a softness of grains and mild mandarin orange sweetness. Finish is super clean, with light malt sweetness again at the end. Well made, could put a few of these down.
4.2Bottle @ MPLS LOL. Pours a clear light golden appearance with a white head. Quite dry, grainy, herbal, grassy aroma. Fairly dry, light lemon, a bit grainy, chewy, light earthy flavor. Drinks fucken good.
4.1bread, caramel, grass, dough, amber, hazy, frothy, white foam, medium sweetness, lightly bitter, lightly sour, medium body, creamy, soft carbonation,
Light and refreshing with enough flavors to let you know your drinking a "Good" Beer.
3.9Aroma: light pils malt, hints of sulfur, some crisp and spicy hop character.
Appearance: brilliantly clear golden, thick white head with good retention, leaves spotty lacing.
Taste: cracker and light pils malt notes, very clean and refreshing, nice spicy hops, medium bitterness, just a bit of sweetness in the finish.
Palate: light/medium body, medium carbonation.
Overall: really great brew, refreshing and clean.
3.9Nice aromatics out of the gate....nice bready sweet malt aroma and spicy hops also. Deep yellow in color with nice thick white head. Nice rich malty sweetness up front, balanced with slightly bitter and spice hop flavor. Crisp, not so dry...finishes on the sweet side. Refreshing.
3.0Bottle pour into a New Glarus footed pilsner glass. Moderate head, moderate lacing. Grassy smell. Good body and finish. Very good for a style I’m not the biggest fan of.
3.8Bottle at Drink Beer.. Help People tasting party. Color is a bright yellow gold with good carbonation and a thick tight head. Aroma is sweet grain. It has a light body with a smooth mouth feel. Flavor is creamy sweet corn with light hops giving a mild bitterness balancing out the end. Overall its a very good Pilsener.
3.812 ounce bottle divided by four. Golden color, finger worth of foam, good head retention. Abundant, malty-grain aroma. Taste is bready, lagerish, milled grains, cereal and mild sweetness. Palate is light to medium, moderate carbonation, very easy to drink and well balanced body in line with the taste profile. Overall a fine pilsener that will probably please even the most discerning of beer traditionalists.
4.3Nice golden color. White creamy head. Very smooth creamy malt flavor. Crisp and enjoyable. Very sessionable!
3.5Clear gold with a huge, active off-white head.
Aroma is malt, bright fruit, honey.
Flavour is creamy malt, light acidity....
Clean, sweet and tasty.
2.7355mL thanks to sammi and Katie! Pours clear amber. Strange. Weak white foam. Nose is malty, no hoppiness, tea, honey. Taste similar with honey, heavy grain, Sourdough and wheat honey bread. Denser body. Not sure how thin counts as pilsner unless not fresh. Srm wrong, hop content wrong. Stunning underachievement from new Glarus. Disappointing.
3.7Light yellow with a slight white head. Malty / sweet nose with a touch of hops. Medium body, crisp and clean pilsner taste. Smooth, enjoyable and partakeable. Simple.
3.0Golden pour from thirsty horse. No head. Fruity and wheat taste not bad. Wouldn't order again
3.2Bottle courtesy of Madbeerbaron. Sweet bready malt and light grass aroma. Clear deep gold with a large dense, creamy white head. Sweet grainy malt flavor. Body on the light side of medium, soft carbonation. A bit on the sweet side, and could have used a bit more hop presence.
3.6Pretty satisfying and refreshing for a pilsener. Dank malting with very light hops;.a tad bit of farmhouse yeast and you have a medium malt, medium sweet, crisp, lightly hopped, lightly sour beer. Decent for a pilsener.
