New Glarus Totally Naked Extra Pale Lager

New Glarus Totally Naked Extra Pale Lager

Pure and crisp, this is a beer with nothing to hide. Wisconsin two-row barley malt ensures a mellow and smooth body. We imported Noble Hop varieties from Germany and the Czech Republic to ensure a fine mature aroma with no coarse bitterness.

Expect this beer to pour a delicate golden hue that sparkles in the summer sun. Extra Pale is brewed using all natural ingredients with no artificial additives of any kind.

2.3 It's better than a Hamm's or Bud, to be sure...but still very much within in the same family and tier. Not worth over 3x the cost!!!!!
3.8 Clear yellow white head. Aroma and taste dank and lemon. Enjoyable. I really don't want to type any more.
3.4 12 oz. can, consumed on 6-4-18. Pours a bright, clear, yellow/gold with a large amount of beige head. Moderate effervescence. Looks good. Pleasant, bready aroma. Golden raisin scent. Pleasant, solid pilsner taste. A hint of lemon. Bready, perhaps doughy but not in an underbaked way. Not exciting but very well-made. Soft in the palate. Light to medium body. 7.4.7.3.13=>3.4
3.0 Pours a thin yellow with a medium white head that disappears almost instantly. The aroma isn't bad, but its light. Its grassy and has corn, spice, bread, and honey. Sipping brings about minor bitterness and sweetness. The taste is more exciting than the nose. Grass and honey are found on top, while underneath I find cereal, spice, hay, and a bit of lemon. Honey aftertaste. Its light in body and crisp in texture. I'd say this is actually pretty refreshing. But outside of that, this is nondescript.
3.4 Pours clear gold with a fine off white head. Aroma is simple base malt and slightly yeasty. Flavour is rich and slightly sweet. Finish is clean and it’s a hint of sweetness.
3.9 Got in a trade with The-Adjunct-Hippie. 12 ounce bottle into lager glass, best before 12/4/2017. Pours crystal clear pale golden yellow color with a 1 finger dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of cracker, white bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit, light pepper, and herbal/grassy earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of pale malt and light-moderate earthy hop notes; with solid strength. Touch of yeast fruitiness in the aromas, but not overwhelming. Taste of cracker, white bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit, light pepper, and herbal/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate herbal, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of cracker, white bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit, pepper, and herbal/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice robustness and balance of pale malt and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and zero astringent hop flavors after the finish. Moderately crisp/clean finishing. Lightly increasing dryness from bitterness. Medium carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, moderately bready/grainy, and light sticky balanced mouthfeel that is great. Perfectly clean on lager flavors, with zero yeast notes present. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 4.25%. Overall this is a delicious pale lager! All around nice robustness and balance of pale malt and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; very smooth, crisp, clean, and refreshing to drink. Very flavorful for the low ABV, never watery feeling. Clean pils malt flavors with nice noble hop presence for the style. Definitely has some German Pilsner style influence going on. A very enjoyable offering, and spot on style example.
2.7 Simple crisp and clean As any basic lager should be. Nothing wrong with it Sept the price tag.
2.7 Draft - Another really clear bright yellow color. Constant bubbles and a small film of head because of the constant stream. Barely a smell at all. Still a pretty robust yeast/bread flavor but not as much as the Two Women.
3.8 12 oz bottle shared with my friend Tyler, thanks DCLawyer! Clear straw yellow with off-white head. Aromas of corn, wheat, malt. Tastes of corn, wheat, malt. Light body with a dry finish. Nice and refreshing lager.
3.0 Not a big fan of lagers to begin with. That said this is probably one of the better ones. Nice malty aroma. As with most lagers not a real distinctive taste to it. Bit of a linger on the tongue. Would be nice while sitting on a dock on a hot, sunny day.
3.1 Bottle courtesy Drake - many thanks! Pours clear pale golden with a small white head. Aroma is typical lager - grain, corn, grasses, et all. Flavor is better than a typical lager: crisp grasses, a hint of honey, grain, a little bread. Good for a lager.
3.5 12 oz bottle from the variety pack. Aroma is cereal grains, sweet malt, not much else. Pours clear pale golden with a one finger white head with decent retention. Taste is sweet with a light bitterness in the finish. Has a nice creamy mouthfeel with medium body. Crisp, clean and refreshing. A lot like a macro lager, but with a fuller mouthfeel and better flavors.
2.7 From bottle to glass. Pours a pale yellow with moderate white head. A little spice in this beer. Generally low flavor with slight graininess. Very slight floral.
3.1 On tap at the brewery. Clear golden. Smells of bready malt and a hint of earthy hops. Tastes kinda sweet. Bready malt. Spicy and pretty bitter finish. Light body. Crisp and very drinkable, though kinda bland.
3.2 Pours a clear straw yellow with fluffy white head that leaves moderate lace. Aroma of mild biscuit malt and light yeast. Taste follows, a clean flavorful lager for chugging on a warm day.
3.3 Clear pale golden color with a medium thin white head that dissipates quickly to an outer ring. Short strings of lacing. Aroma of malt and grassy hops. Light body with flavors of pale malts, hay and mild hops. The finish is sweet with a bready malt aftertaste. Decent overall.
3.2 Bottle, thanks Christina! Bready malt aroma with notes of grass and spicy hop notes. Pours clear pale golden colored with a thin white head that has little retention and good lacing. Starts with bready malt flavor. Finishes smooth with some spice and grassy hop flavors. Crisp, clean, refreshing but very basic lager.
3.0 Beany hay nose. Clear yellow, medium head, no retention. Honey, dandelion, grass. Light body, easy carbonation.
3.2 A simple but clean lager. Nose is malty, a bit of wheat bread. Pours golden with white head. Taste is malt, bread, some crispness from the Noble hops. Palate is a little wet, but clean and crisp finish.
3.3 Bright golden pour with nice sized white head. Nose of grain and wet grass. Flavor of corn and sweet malt. Nice crisp finish.
2.9 Grain and cereal malts, caramel, straw. Slightly hazy, pale gold, small, creamy, white head. Light to medium sweet. Sugary malts, molasses, caramel, grain and cereal, soft carbonation, medium bodied. Decent for a Lager. Bottle from the brewery, New Glarus, WI.

2.9 On draft at the brewery. Pours a clear pale gold with an off white head. Bready nose. Flavors of white bread dough. Crisp finish.
2.6 Straw colored. Slightly corny and hay, very mild bitterness. Clean. Crisp, better than the big boys for a lawnmower style,
2.9 Bottle pour clear light gold with thin white head. Nose crystal malt, apple, no off smells. Taste bright and crisp, crystal malt, light fall fruit flavors. Very mild late palate bitterness. For what it is, reasonable drinking.
2.5 Tap - small foamy head, clear medium straw color, pretty standard pale lager like aroma and flavor, but on the good side, not bad overall
3.0 Where: Gift from my neighbor, thanks Emily! How: 12 ounce bottle. Appearance: Frothy white head, golden straw in color, moderate to high carbonation. Aroma: Crisp dry cracker malt. Taste: Clean malt and fresh cut hay, light spicy floral hop bitterness. Palate: medium-light body. Overall: simple and to the point, definitely a spring beer to me.
