New Holland Paleooza

New Holland Paleooza

This beer has a golden colored body with a creamy white head. Its slightly sweet malt flavor makes up the base and offers a supporting role to the refreshing hop profile. Cascade hops provide a floral, citrus and almost fruity character to this well balanced easy drinking ale. Back by popular demand, “Paleooza” is an old favorite and an early original in our portfolio of great beers! 14°

3.6 Nice golden color with a nice citrus smell. The beer is smooth with a little bitter after taste. It is a nice use of Michigan hops.
3.1 Golden colour, white head. Aroma of orange, zest, spices, marmalade and malts. Sweet malty flavour, light citrus. Malty finish. (From 35.5cL bottle @ After GBBF tasting, chriso’s place, London ’14. Thanks for sharing, rb crew!)
3.5 Tap at Busters. Very slightly hazy yellow-gold pour with a white dense head. Sweet malts. Mild citrus and floral nose. Citrus jumps out more on taste. Very sessionable. Good stuff.
3.3 Flarra Biskopen Järntorget . Mild fruktig doft . Smakar lite ekigt typiskt för bättre pale Ale. Lätt eftersmak å mild efterbeska.. Nja en viss efterföljande äppelton ligger kvar . Ja då grönt äpple. Trevlig öl men kostar !!!! Den här typen av enklare öl (kallad törstsläckare) borde ju aldrig gå på mer än 60kr på krogen. Så prisvärd NÄÄÄ
3.4 Tap at Busters in a pint glass. Pale golden in color with a half finger white head. Aroma has elements of floral and citrus packing a pretty aggressive nose. Taste brings the citrus rind action to the party especially making its presence felt on the finish. Definitely a clean and easy to drink option. I’m getting sweetness more so than bitterness at the onset and in the middle. Not a big punch of taste but enough to help you forget it’s a low alcohol session variety. For the style it’s pretty decent.

3.5 (tap) clear, bright orange amber colour with a medium tall beige head; aroma of stewed fruit, hint of lemon; balanced flavour with a long, light bitter finish
3.3 Clear pale yellow. Aroma of light straw. Taste is very fruity. Light body. Easy drinking.
2.2 Poured from a bottle into a tulip: Poured dark golden with uncontrollable foam. Aroma of pure sugar and a bit of nut and caramel. Taste is incredibly sweet caramel malt and little else. Cloyingly sweet, must be a bad bottle. Has to be, right?
3.4 On tap at Eli Cannons in a shaker. Pours hazy golden with a white head. Aroma of floral and lightly citrusy hops, some pale malts and light caramel notes, and some dough. Flavor the same. Average texture. Not bad but not the best.
3.4 Pours slightly hazy amber with a thick and frothy dirty buff head. Malty aroma has a strong, woody hop overtone, more IPA than PA. Flavor is malty, hoppy and a little fruity, a bit washed out but still refreshing. Body leaves a bit to be desired, but fizz is firm and somewhat persistent.
3.4 12 oz bottle purchased at HyVee in West Des Moines, Iowa as a single. L194 stamped on bottle. The pour is a hazed golden orange with a smallish dirty white head. The aroma is orange citrus and apricot fruit along with fresh cracker malt underneath the hops. The taste is the fruit citrus hop along with a bit of earth and mineral cracker malt in the finish. The palate is medium to light bodied with soft natural carbonation and the mineral finish. Solid Pale Ale.
3.6 cloudy orange full of microscopic particles, thin pure white head. Wonderful aroma: citris, Cascade hops, pinecones, and cotton candy. A lot of hop flavor, moreso than I was expecting. Malt balance is most excellent, bringing an appreciated sweetness to the party. Moderately carbonated
3.3 Cloudy, brassy orange pour. Chunky off-white head. Sweet candied orange and tropical fruit in the nose. Taste is caramel malt, passion fruit, floral hops. Finishes slightly sticky, with lingering citrus. Decent.
3.2 12oz bottle. Cloudy orange color with big chunky head of large bubbles. Mild sweet and spicy aroma. The cascade presence is very mild and only noticable in the finish. Certainly easy to drink and good on a hot day like today.
3.7 Aroma - Honey, pale malts, sweet orange-like citrus, lemon. Faint floral hops. Appearance - Sticky, soapy white head. Clear, golden hue. Good looking beer. Taste - Chewy, sweet flavors (honey, ) followed perfectly by citrusy hops. Cereal and hoppy resin notes linger in the after taste. Great balance. Mouthfeel - Medium bodied, semi dry. Chewy body heightens the experience. Overall - Fine example of the style, would certainly have again.
2.5 From a bottle. It has a lager "skunk" to the aroma which sneaks into the taste. It has some nice hop and malt character and is well-balanced. All in all a weak beer.
3.1 [Bottle] Pours a bright golden color with a bit of haze to it. A fizzy head on top. Herbal hops, hay and grapefruit in the nose. Flavors of pine sap, lemon, grass, lighter fruits and citrus rind. The bitterness and flavor balance is good, but without much body to back it up. Thin and bitter finish. Tasting notes from 10/2014.
3.9 Great aroma. Great taste, hoppy and dry. Appearance is fair, good lacing. Palate is medium bodied. Overall, a very drinkable pale ale.
3.4 A clear copper body with a white head that had great retention and decent lace. Aroma had a slightly toasted caramel malt base and a nice floral hop presence. Flavor was initially sweet bitter hops were subdued and the floral hops balanced the malts. Nice moderate finish.
3.1 Average pale ale. Well balanced hopp and malt flavor. Very dry and butter finish. Not much aroma. Pours yellow with a white head
2.6 This beer was very light. Pale pour with a white head. Aroma of straw, grass, orange. Body is light. Decently refreshing, decently boring.
3.0 Solid, well balanced pale ale. Golden, a little thick on the tongue - some floral aroma and citrus bite. Tried in 2015.
3.2 Hazy yellow-orange with a decent head. Tropical fruits (mango, peach) aroma, a bit stale, mild yeasty and spicy odor. Moderate sweet, fruity flavors of mango, peach, lemon skin, pleasant hoppy bitterness. Light-medium bodied, dry-ish crispy finish, refreshing. Decent.
3.3 Bottle sample. Thanks zvsn. Hazy light orange with small off-white head, nice lacing. Hoppy aroma, tropical fruits, notes of honey, a bit yeasty. Sweetish flavor, light hoppy bitterness, tropical fruits (mango, pineapple), a bit grassy, somewhat yeasty, semi-dry bitter-sweet finish. Flat, light-bodied. Nice and very drinkable.
3.4 12 oz. bottle from Supermarket Liquors. Appearance: finger white head, straw golden color, light cloudy, ok lacing. Aroma: pine, light citrus, caramel, Palate: light-medium body, average carbonation, crisp, bitter finish, slightly sticky texture. Taste: sweet caramel with a smooth transition into mild piney hop bitterness, ends refreshing, very crisp. Overall, very drinkable, love the refreshing and crispness of this beer, very nice beer.
3.2 Foggy butterscotch color, thin white head. Funny label, standard 12 oz longneck. Dry caramel aroma, with some off notes up front. Kinda plain flavor, cereal, moderately bitter. Medium body, good carbonation. Lightly acidic. Drinkable. Lazy Dog Growler, Warner Robins.
