3.3 On tap at The Brick at Black Bear Bistro in Warrenton, VA. Clear, medium dark amber with an off-white head and very good lacing. Aroma of honey, caramel, biscuit, citrus and tropical fruit. Taste of citrus, caramel, tropical fruit, pale malt and biscuit. Medium body and medium/low carbonization.
3.6 Draught @ Galaxy Hut, Arlington, VA. Pours slightly hazy light amber with small white head. Clear aroma of hops and citrus. Ditto taste. Birter aftertaste. OK Quite nice to celebrate my #1600 in a VA den, sharing my ideas with a drunken local English teacher.
3.6 Draft at Buffalo Wild Wings. Served in a lager glass, amber’ish golden color with white head. Aroma of citrus hops, sweet pale malt and a slight floral note. Taste adds more hop dimension with fruity and piney notes, nice bitterness, with grainy/slight caramel malt balance. Light body, moderate carbonation, bitter, balanced with dry hop lingering finish. Pretty nice.
3.2 Draft. Cloudy amber, thin head. Mild hop aroma, somewhat bland taste. Nothing bad, just very mild.
3.5 herbs, citrus, earthy, golden, cloudy, minimal head, medium sweetness, Like grapefruitlight body, fizzy, long finish,
3.6 On draft at Spacebar in Falls Church VA. Pours a cloudy gold with an off white head. Pleasant floral aroma. Flavors of grapefrui and lemon zest. Crisp and astringent finish.
3.4 On cask at Rustico in Alexandria, VA. Review from notes. The beer is a hazy light orange color with a white head that leaves ample lacing on the glass. The aroma brings some citrus, bread, biscuits, malt. Lots of bready characteristics in the flavor with a lingering hop bitterness. Mouthfeel is nice, as is typical with a cask ale. Overall, a decent beer. Serving type: cask Reviewed on: 12-08-2011

3.3 As Lost Rhino New River Pale Ale at Brew at the Zoo 2012. Solid APA, decent amount of bitterness.
2.1 Cask at CK. Clear low haze orange. Small white foam. Nose is oxidized red apple slices. Taste is astringent, nutty, very watery with sweet white grape juice. Palate is powdery, bitter, nutty. Slightly harsh. Minerally. Uhhh.
3.5 Cask. Great aroma of hops. Pour had a nice head with cloudy amber body, nice lacing through drink. Nice hoppy taste with a smooth texture. Tastes like a fresh hop beer.
3.3 22oz bottle from richdorchak, thanks Rich! Pours a clear darker gold colored body with an inch thick, foamy, off-white head that collapses slowly and leaves a moderate lacing. Aroma is crisp hops and pale malts with a light bready sweetness balancing a mixture of herbal pines, citruses, and florals. Flavor is similar. Crisp herbal hops with some pines and florals giving off a light citrus with some pineapple, grapefruit, and lemon sticking out. Dry pale malts with a touch of bready sweetness to balance the medium bitterness before this completely dries and leaves a lengthy aftertaste. Light body and a fairly lively, medium level of carbonation that helps with the crispness. Overall, a decent pale ale. Pretty well hopped with a decent hop mix balanced by a light, crisp pale malt backing. Nothing special, but enjoyable enough.
3.1 Light amber pour with a small white head. Lots of herbal pine and citrus peel with scallion like onion notes and biscuity caramel malt. Too much toffee in the flavor for my liking- bordering on buttery. Medium body with a resinous and moderately sticky finish.
3.4 Bottle. Pours darker orange with a nice white head, good retention/some lace. Aroma of citrus, pine, biscuit. Taste is somewhat bitter, with pine/resinous hops, caramel, biscuit. Palate is soft, slightly oily, bitter finish.
4.1 Nice golden pour with aromas of bread or hay, and some citrus. Taste is semi-sweet, some soft bitterness and, not sure, maybe coriander? Dry, bitter finish, smooth, and light bodied. Great session ale. Very drinkable with plenty of flavor.
3.8 Bottle from leesburg vintner. Pours light orange with a half an inch of white foam. Some pineapple on the nose. Nice hoppiness on the tongue with a nice burst of hop flavor on the tongue. Very nice. One of the better pale ales I’ve had so far.

3.8 Pours a light amber with a small white head. Mostly hoppy aroma with slighter notes of bread and caramel. Well-balanced flavor, perfect for a Pale Ale. One of the top for its style.
3.8 Serving: Draft at the brewery. It pours a nice light orange color with a small off white head. The nose is a light mix of hops and malt. Some bread, fruit, and citrus. The flavor follows suit with additional notes of caramel and light pine notes. Medium bodied with average carbonation leading to a medium finish. I’m glad to have this one back. This is a solid session brew.

2.9 Sampled at the NoVa Summer Beer Fest in Leesburg, VA on 6/25/11. Pours a clear golden color with a medium sized fizzy head that fades quickly. Aroma of floral and citreus hops. The taste is big citrus hops with some floral notes, caramel and a bitter finish. Medium bodied with a lingering bitterness.
3.9 Growler from Lost Rhino Brewing Co. Pours fairly clear golden/orange with minimal head. Floral hoppy aroma. Sweet caramel malt flavor with a great hoppy finish; only slightly bitter. Light to medium body. This is great as a session beer. Excited that one of the first three brews from Lost Rhino is this solid!
3.5 Draft at Churchkey. Clear golden color, white edge head. Nice aroma of sourdough bread. Taste has decent malt, not very bitter, decent body. Plain but very drinkable.
4.0 Slightly orange head, great carbonation if not on the lighter side. Hazy orange color, good lacing. Well hopped, beautiful floral aroma. Notes of orange, peach, aged toffee. Had a slight taste of an english ale, but perhaps this was due to the fact that had probably be sitting around for more then a year. Great Pale. Too bad its retired. So long NRPA.
3.7 Bottled on 12/14/07. Poured slightly hazy medium orange with a short, well-retained cap of off-white head. The aroma picked up sweet, dusty grapefruit along with some pine and peppery notes.. very well balanced and it seemed drier. The flavor had caramel and lesser light fruity sweetness supporting spicy pine and floral bitterness.. grapefruit returned at the end and gave a solid impression on the finish.. very tasty! Medium-bodied on the palate with thicker carbonation.. higher bitterness on the end and a refreshing finish. Very solid brew!
