A full-bodied pale ale, it’s sweet rather than bitter, with some caramel and fruit notes.

3.012 oz bottle into a regular glass.
A: Pours a clear copper color. The head is a one finger offwhite shade. In particular, I enjoy how creamy it looks topping this brew off. As it recedes, a semi-solid ring of lacing is left behind.
S: Some caramel sweetness augments a slight ping of fruit esters. Hops are (sadly) almost imperceptible, but this isn’t turribly fresh, either. It smells okay. Pretty middle of the road, though.
T: The flavor to me seems a bit nuttier than what the aroma suggested. Mainly, though, it’s still sodden with caramel and faint fruity esters on the opening. I can even pick up slight chocolate at times. It really dries up on the finish, with only a slight tea leaf note to break up the monotony. Not bad.
M: There’s a dry note on the back end that makes me think of Guinness. Or Bass. This creates good drinkability at the cost of gutted palate duration. Ah well, the latter doesn’t really mean much considering what this is. It’s easy to drink.
O: It’s alright, I guess. Come to think of it, this lived up to my expectations perfectly - by being completely average in almost all aspects. Among macros, I’ve had FAR worse.
2.9Bottle, not poured. Malty grass aroma. Touch of caramel and some grainy after sense. Taste is malt, sweet start bit of a bitter afteraste. Easy drinking, session like. Good everyday drinker.
2.5Bottle to pint - tea colored with a steady paper thin head. Malty aroma and a malty bready taste. Medium mouthfeel and somewhat watery.
2.8Poured a clear medium dark copper with a tall foamy light tan head that was slightly creamy on top. The head dropped to about half an inch in a few minutes. The aroma was a mild bread/bisquit with some caramel malt. The beer had a bit of a thin texture and a light metallic taste up front. There was a hint of dryness in the taste and just a little bit of a tart finish. The best thing I can say about this beer was that it looked great in the glass. Overall it was not much to speak of. It was drinkable and ok, but nothing to write home about. When I saw it for $4.99 a six pack I said this is either no good or the store got a deal on a big purchase.
3.4I got this beer on super sale under five bucks for a six pack at my local grocery store in Oregon. I found it very palatable and pretty tasty. If it keeps being such a good deal I will definitely include it in my summer camping beer selection.
3.0It pours a rich yellow color. It has a decent amount of head. It has a pleasant aroma of bread baking. The taste is a pleasant combination of caramel, biscuits, fruit and toffee. It has a light bitter finish. Overall a pleasant beer on a hot day.
3.0Dark amber pour with a light beige head. Aroma is weak caramal malt. Althought the beer is smooth and easy going down, the taste is neutral; nither bad nor good.so so lacing.
2.7Thoughts of DS9 more than anything else, really. Bottled. Mildly skunky nose, sweet with dusty-fruity yeast, green. Pours rather transparent orange with a very short white head. Watery light body with bare-bones of bitterness and malt, thin in most aspects, even their characteristic sweetness is backed off a bit. Faintish hint of rubber. Not bad, just boring and sterilized. I’d have it again.
3.6Clear amber, light head.light full bodied beer, earthy. A great summer/lawn mowing/baseball game beer. Not my preferred style of beer, but pretty good.
2.9Clear, deep amber appearance with a large off white head and good lacing. Sweet, caramel malt aroma with just a slight touch of herbal hops. Earthy, toffeeish flavor with the sweet, bready malts dominating through to the aftertaste. Dull and one-dimensional.
2.6Not much aroma to speak of, pale copper/brownish color, quite clear. Taste is smooth with a touch of caramel after a brief hop bite, finishes lightly sweet and malty. Not overly complex but not bad. Quite refreshing and easy drinking, but nothing outstanding. That being said it would make an excellent yard or pool beer to keep around even if it is not going to wow anyone.
2.0Bottle. Clear medium copper, average white head. Surprisingly little in the way of aroma or flavour, just a bit of caramel and bland grains. To quote my buddy Rosser: "BOOOORRRRRRRIIIINNNNGGGG."
2.4Pours a clear amber with minimal head. It has a malty, bready aroma of barley and a hint of hops. The taste is of thin, watery barley water. Tastes similar to Goya Malta or something, very light for its colour. No discernable defects really, just very bland, watery and more or less meh...
2.8Slightly fruity aroma with a good slightly fruity body...smooth and Malty, low hops... medium body, could drink a couple
3.1Poured a half finger of head on a clear, dark copper colored body.
The aroma is a good, if faint, grain and malt smell.
The taste is fairly bland. A touch of sweetness.
The texture is too fizzy with a crisp texture.
At 4.8% and no real flavor you could go to town on these and not be offended.
2.8Clear copper body with a short white head. Caramel malt aroma. Thin palate. Lightly malty flavor, slightly bready and even more faint caramel sweetness with muted, mild but typical pale ale aftertaste.
3.3Very clean and crisp. Would be very good after a long hot day working in the yard. -ty
2.8Bottle at home. Aroma of caramel and crackers. The taste is about as one dimensional as a beer can get. Slightly malty, very little hop character. Has a crisp finish. I would classify it as an amber. Nothing offensive here.
3.2Gold pour with white head and lace. Aroma of earthy hops and caramel malt. Flavor mirrors aroma. Not much bitter just sweet malt. A not so fresh bottle I don’t think. An ok beer
3.1Bottle from the 76 station in Davis, CA. Pours a copper color with a fruity aroma. No real hop present, but a easy to drink malty beer. Notes of caramel and overall sweet malt flavor. I was pleasantly surprised.
2.6Bottle. Pours a clear copper with small off white head that diminishes to nothing. The aroma is bready malt and caramel. Medium mouthfeel with raisin and metallic in the finish. Meh
2.4A sweet pale ale that's sure to please most with its mellow hop character and up front barley. Abrupt rather than lingering, as I think the best pales are
2.9Bottle poured a clear copper hue w/ a white head quickly diminishing to a thin cap and excellent lacing. Moderate aroma of malt and sweet caramel. Initial flavor is a light sweet with a moderate bitter finish of short duration. Tastes are bready malts, caramel and light citrus notes. Light to medium bodied, light carbonation, and a light dry finish. It is a good beer, just not a complex one. It is like a good piece of toast, you aren’t going to get excited about toast, but sometimes when your eating you want a piece of toast to go with the meal.
3.1From tap. Pours a ruby color with small head. Aroma was mildly malty and slighty sweet. Taste was caramel, sweet malt and slight bitterness. More sweet and not balanced. Mild for an ESB.
2.8Draft at Fado in Philly. Clear dark orange pour. Fluffy white head. Tons of lace. Mild toasted wheat flavors. Some caramel. Nice session beer but not very complex. Feels like a mild red ale. Decent looking, but way too bland.
3.2Bottle. Aroma is malty with a bit of sweetness. Pours light amber colored with very little head. Very malty taste with caramel and fruit notes. Finishes smooth and dry.
3.4I don’t see the point. Not terrible , but not noteworthy. I like the head, but the taste is kind of metallic. Don’t know what to think.
3.0Poured into a English Pint glass from a twelve ounce bottle from a 12 pack. I find that if I don’t particularly "care" for a brew new, during a specific taste time, and w/out discounting another opportunity to try it again, there has always been someone I know who will "care". This one I keep and share.
’cause it ain’t too bad a Pale Ale and it’s got 4.8% Vol as opposed to 4.7 inside the Brown Ale.
2.212 oz bottle pours clear amber with a white head. Not much on the aroma front. Taste is malt and bread. Not there best offering.
2.8Bottle from B&M Home Bargains; clear medium brown pour with off white head, malt aroma, burnt caramel malt taste with mild hoppiness. OK for 59p
