Nickel Brook Head Stock IPA

Nickel Brook Head Stock IPA

India Pale Ale
We admit it. We have a problem... We love our hops. We especially adore the amazing science of hops! As homage to our favourite wonders of nature, we present to you our award-winning Headstock IPA. The flowering humulus lupulus hop-cone provides us with the vital acids, essential oils and resins that permeate throughout our IPA. The result is a deliciously obscene wallop of tropical fruit, citrus and pine flavours and aromas any hop-head would gladly give a DNA sample for. We conclude that hop science is one tasty passion.

3.8 Can (473 ml). Pours light orange-gold with thick white head and substantial lacing. Grapefruit and pine aroma. Grapefruit rind, pineapple, and pine. Medium body with a long, dry finish. Overall, very good.
3.1 Drank at the brewery, very bitter. A bit harsh for me, dry but puckering bitter. But also dank and earthy, I don’t like the hop mix.
3.8 Cloudy pale gold. Medium head with high retention. Aroma intensity 3.75/5. Honey, pickles, bread and hay aroma, with a fresh tropical twist. Medium to heavy bitter. Chewy texture. Light body
4.4 This is a good one. I was pleasantly surprised. Very hoppy, crisp unfiltered IPA. I've just tried it for the first time today, and I'm happy to say it will be on my staple list.

4.3 As a Les Paul owner, I always find the can to be quite delightful. It is, however, what is inside that keeps me coming back for more. Pours into my pint glass, with a brief cacophony of effervescence with a slight head. A vibrant, translucent golden hue and plenty of lacing on the glass. The aroma providing a great preview of what is about to unfold, as you sip. A fine balance of hop and citrus notes delight the palate, with a hint of pineapple. Slightly oily with a gratifying bitter finish.
3.5 Can. Cloudy golden, white head. Aroma has pine, malt and some onion and rubber band. Pine and grapefruit flavour with light caramely notes in the finish. Some citrus peel too.
4.3 I like this beer. Always on the look out for extra hoppy taste......this rates up there. Didn’t notice until half through my first can, as I started studying the label, the Les Paul head stock. Very cool presentation. I’m in.
3.9 Color naranja oscuro, aspecto de zumo. Perfecta espuma blanca con muy buena retención. Aroma a naranja, pino y melocotón. Sabor igual aunque tapado por el excesivo amargor.
4.8 Loved it.
3.8 473ml can. Pours hazy golden orange with a frothy white head, good retention. Aroma of citrus fruits, orange, caramel. Taste is sweet, citrusy, orange, grapefruit, caramel, resinous pine. Medium bodied, oily, soft carbonation. Decent.
4.0 Can at home. Ppurs hazy with a frothy head. Slight grapefruit flavours not a lot going on but very drinkable
3.3 Karmel zajmuje tu prawie całą przestrzeń. Jest grejpfrut. I żeby jeszcze było choć troszkę kwaskowate przy tej słodyczy, ale nie jest. Goryczka wysoka. Trochę siekiera.
3.9 Pours a massive frothy head atop a slightly hazy yellow body. Nose of English Pale malt. Very drinkable. Solid bitterness through the finish. Good
2.8 Can. Amber colour, minimal head. Aroma is intensive grapefruit, much caramel. Medium bitterness, harsh. Dull.
3.3 9th July 2018 Hazy orange - gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is light, semi dry, reasonable fine carbonation. Light malts, very mild creamy sweetness. Tangy orangey hops. Metallic tangy. Mild hop spice. Some orange peel bitterness on the crispy finish. A bit tangy - metallic to be really crushable.
3.7 2014 rating. Pours a freakin' huge frothy off-white head and has a hazy orangey appearance. Nice thick dirty lacing. Nice huge hoppy bitter aromas, oranges, citrus hops. Flavours of citrus and floral hops, orangey notes and some hints of grapefruit. Smooth, crisp bitterness on the palate, very easy to drink for a high ibu IPA.
