5.0 Very very very good! Get whenever
4.7 This is a go-to favorite either canned or on tap. The bright color perfectly mirrors the citrus flavors that lead each sip followed by a smooth hoppy flavor. The flavors are perfectly balanced and agreeable, yet you could never accuse Whirlpool of being bland. Easy drinking and light enough to have a handful without weighing you down. The perfect pint.
3.7 Pint can. Lots of refreshing citrus up front - orange juice and lemon zest, some orange blossom and pale grain. Taste is crisp, dry, with lots of nice citrus hoppiness, despite the fact that this can is several months old. It's a bit thin, but it IS only 4.5%. Overall quite good for such a light beer.
3.8 At Picco in Boston, Gezapft. Trübes Gelb, Fingerbreit Schaum Aroma: Zitrus, Hopfen, Koriander Geschmack: Sauer, bitter, Zitrus, Bitterorange, etwas Getreide, Grapefruit Voller Antrunk
3.1 Small head on this pour, but reasonably creamy with moderate leaving. Hazy-opaque yellow in color contrasts small bubbles of head; no visible carbonation. Earthy-citrus hop-forward aroma; detectable from about a foot away (very strong). Slightly astringent taste, reminiscent of grapefruit. Rather hoppy, yet still drinkable. Smooth palate. Overall quite drinkable, though it's weirdly more expensive here than other beers of similar style here.
3.2 Tap at Craft Beer, Covent Garden. Hazy pale yellow, flat nose. Mouth is light citrous well balanced summer thirst quencher. Nothing more...
3.9 Hazy straw in appearance with a white head. Citrus, bread and cracker, moderately bitter.
3.8 Slightly hazey light gold with a thick foamy white head. Bright tropic fruity slightly dank nose with a stern leafy hoppiness. Bright pale flavor with a light floral hoppy citrusy resin with light tropical kisses and a smooth but lingering bitterness.
3.6 Hazy pale yellow. Bright lemon and grapefruit citrus. Medium bodied, fresh and tasty. Dry hopped green flavour and some light zestiness. Melon and citrus.
3.8 16 oz can. Pours hazy golden with tall, long-lasting, fluffy white head and nice lacing. Aroma is of citrusy hops, tropical fruit and bready malt. Body is medium and slightly crisp. Taste is of floral hops, tropical fruit and bready malt. Finish is long and dry. Very good brew.
3.7 Draught @ Night Shift Brewing, Everett, MA. Smooth, fruity and slightly juicy with some tropical notes and citrus. Okay.
3.5 16 oz can poured a hazy gold with a lasting creamy white head. Aromas of straw, yeast, citrus and a hint of earthiness. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a dry finish. Flavors of straw, citrus and a hint of yeast with a crisp dry lingering citrus finish.
3.2 Hazy yellow pour with a small white head. Very drinkable but a little light on hops and body for the style. Listed as 5.2 % AVB but i brewer lists as 4.5%
3.7 Can at Precinct in Boston. Light hazy pour with a white head. Soft citrus, smooth and easy drinking.
3.8 From tap at the brewery. Hazy pale yellow color with white head. Malty and hoppy aroma, citrus, light stone and tropical fruits, wheat, grass. Sweet and bitter taste. Light to medium oily body with soft carbonation.
3.7 On tap at Night Shift, pours a cloudy yellowish blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out moderate dank hops, with some pot, citrus and biscuity malt. Flavour is along the same lines, with clean dank hops, biscuity malt and light pine. Dry and piney. Very good.
3.3 Draught @ Draught 55. Cloudy pale yellow with very small frothy whitish head, citrus aroma, medium carbonation, mildly bitter citrusy taste with pineapple, smooth body, medium finish. Smooth and easy to drink, but a bit weak.
3.3 Taster pour at the source. Appearance is cloudy, greenish-yellow with no sparkle, thin ring of off-white head and nice lacing. Aroma is moderate pineapple and grapefruit. Taste is citrus with pineapple and grapefruit, but somewhat watery. Palate is light-to-medium bodied with thin texture, soft carbonation and a crisp finish that kind of disappears. Overall, I expected more.
3.8 Draft at Pizzeria Paradiso, Dupont Circle. Hazy pineapple juice color with a light white head. Notes of pineapple and citrus. Lightly hoppy and sessionable. Great summer pale.
3.8 Very light and refreshing beer with a good amount of non-hoppy bright flavor and a carbonated finish.
3.6 Pour from a 12oz can at Savor: An American Craft Beer & Food Experience 2018. Poured a pale straw color, fizzy, but lasting, small head. Aroma was floral notes, touch of light citrus. Delicate, floral, citrus character. Pretty tasty.
3.6 On tap at City Tap Room Boston. Cloudy pale gold colour lasting white head. Citrus aroma with some light tropical fruit is rather lovely. It's got some drinkability . Just a bit too fizzy still . It starts well but just lacks a bit of body . Good fruit though.
3.9 Can from Craft Brewed. Night Shift hit distro in Nashville for CBC. Pours an unclear, glowing straw color with a finger of white foam that lingers then dissipates. Dank dried pineapple nose with some natsumikan and white peach aromas. Clean and crisp with a slightly grainy, pillowy mouthfeel. Mostly dry finish with some light honey and peach. Great for the 4.5% abv.
3.6 Can @ The Mansfield, New York. Pours slightly hazy yellow with a white head. Aroma of malt, fruity hops, peach, citrus, little pepper. Flavor is light bitter, malt, grassy, little pepper, citrus, some onion notes. Medium body, average carbonation, light bitter finish. Easy drinking. 240418
4.1 From the one pint can which was canned 3/14/18. Very cloudy looking pale yellow color under a quick lasting white fizzy head. The aroma emits characters of grapefruit, citrus, lemonzest, and white bread. The body is light. The taste tends to lean on the citrus juiciness rather than sweet. Nice hopped up finish. More like an IPA than an APA.
3.9 Can a little more dated than last review / 2 - 4 weeks in can better than 8 weeks but still a nice light pleasant and mild pale ale. Nothing in here will be overpowering to anyone…
3.6 Tap at Night Shift Brewery, Boston. Color is slightly cloudy golden with small white head. Aromas and flavors: Fruits, citrus, hops and malts. Easy citric apa with nice drinkability.
3.4 Orange and a little pine like north of the treeline. A hint of green onions. Some hay. Smooth and easy drinking. Can thanks to Chalumeaux.
3.3 Aroma - peppery lemon citrus. Appearance - the body is a hazy yellow. The head is about 1" and settles to a foam. Taste - has a little pepper, lemon, mildest amount of peach. Palate - medium body, smooth texture, average carbonation, and a spicy hop citrus finish.
3.8 Can. Pours hazy gold. Aroma and flavor are papaya, guava, pale malt, soft floral notes, moderate bitterness, and a crisp, dry finish with a hint of acidity. Medium body.
