Nils Oscar India Ale

Nils Oscar India Ale

Note: Gluten free from 2020.

3.5 God IPA med masser af humlesmag. Dejlig fyldig øl med god aroma. Dejlig frisk.
3.2 330ml tulip from tap. Pours a clear orange color forming a small off white head with low retention and see few lacings formed and left in the glass. Nose is sweet caramel, grapefruit and resin. Medium bitterness. Medium body. Medium carbonation. Caramel and resin. Medium drinkability.
3.4 Bottle 330 ml. Aromas of fruit and burnt caramel. Small white head with hazy amber brownish body. Taste is well balanced, being quite sweet at first with bitter aftertaste.
3.3 Clean amber. Large head, low retention. Aroma intensity 3.25/5. Grapefruit, passion fruit and cut grass aroma. Medium bitter. Low to medium body
2.6 Malty and bitter, but lacking the hop aromatics and flavor I like in an IPA. Not a bad beer per se, just mild and boring for the style. Shared bottle.
3.2 Ljust mahognybrun med tunt vitt skum. Doftar svagt av malt. Smaken brödigt mellanbesk. Eftersmaken lång och humlig. Nja.
Golden color with white head. Aroma has malt and some citrus. Taste is malty with quite long bitter aftertaste. Flavors of malt, piney, grapefruit.
2.6 Pours bright clear copper. I feel like the arome is on the maltier side. Taste is malty, slight bitter finish. A mild ipa.
3.9 Keg at the Slaughtered Lamb. Amber with a perfectly judged carbonation. Not so much head. White grape and pine aroma. Sweet/savoury taste with a bittersweet finish. Lovely body with full carbonation. It tastes stronger than it is. A well-made IPA with all the brashness and subtlety required by that style.
3.3 Backlog rating. Cask at JDW CW, London. It pours a clean golden color with medium white head. Aroma is grassy and citric, with some tea leaves, earth, citrus peel and grass. Taste has grainy grassy notes, light toasted malts. Light bodied with good carbonation. Overall, not bad
2.8 The aroma is dominated by citrus and foam stand neatly on this Swedish IPA. The taste is well balanced in the ratio of malt and hop. American amarillo hop takes lovingly overall impression and leaves a good mellow bitterness. It did not matter if it contained little more ferocity in the form of a more vigorous hopping, as many hops lovers associate with a real IPA.
3.0 Barwa miedziana, srednia, drobnopecherzykowa piana., nieco krazkujaca Aromat slodowy, karmelowy, nieco chmielowy. Smak karmelowo-slodowy, pelny, slodkawy, zelazisty, wyczuwalna, niezalegajaca goryczka, odpowiednie wysycenie.
3.6 Humlig doft men också maltig. Man märker en viss fruktighet i både doft och smak ihop med karamell, sötma och en lagom beska. Ingen superöl som kvalar in på någon favoritplats men helt klart en bra öl.
2.6 Flaska systembolaget. Orangul vätska. Trött doft med ljust bröd. Platt smak med klen humlekaraktär och. Lite metallisk med inslag av barr
3.6 Pours amber fr bottle. Tropical fruit, pineapple citrus in the aroma. Nice palate medium body citrus in the taste along with rounded bitterness. Good IPA
1.8 Mahogany pour. Small off white head, almost tan. No lacing. Huge malty aroma with dark fruit notes. As it settles and warms there is a Brett note. Smoky flavor. Very smoky. Very thin. Not hoppy. Not sure how this one can be called an IPA without a lawsuit.
1.9 Bottle. Surprisingly watery ipa, I have to say. Not really much mote than ale with a too bitter hoppy taste - nothing remotely resembling fruit, malty richness. Sorry.
3.2 330ml bottle from Systembolaget. Clear amber, fluffy white head. Hoppy aroma, sweet, caramel, toffee and lime. Mild carbonated, light body. The taste is caramel sweet, syrup, toffee, with a fresh mild bitterness at the end.
2.9 Flaska från SB. Kopparfärgad med lite vitt skum. Söt doft av fruktigt te. Besk maltig smak. Tekänsla även i smaken.
3.3 Nice one. Good strength and aroma. Slips down easy. Good bite on palate. Hoppy just the way I like it.
3.2 Tap@pikkis. Copper clear. Autumny malty, light huskey maltyness, some spices, herbs. Med bodied, med bittered, quite well rounded though, herby leafy finish. Malty drink, very nils oscar. Somewhat tasty tho, clean. -- bb
2.6 @ Röhällavägen 150214. Bottle (330 ml) from Systembolaget. Malty and fruity with grassy and light hoppy notes, medium body with an oily texture. The finish is dry, bitter and malty. Boring.
2.9 Bottle from Systembolaget Strömstad. ABV is 5,3%. Misty, sparkling, golden orange body covered by a white film. Tropical fruits, malts, nectarines and concentrated orange juice on the nose. Dry with leafy marmelade notes on the tongue. Resiny and fruity bitterness throughout the mouth and lingering into the finish. Medium bodied.
3.1 Flaska delad med granne. Klar bärnstensfärgad vätska med lågt ljust skum. Svag humledoft. Maltig, inte så mycket humle.
2.6 Tastes more like a malty APA. There are hints of mango in the aroma. Pour pale amber. Okay carbonation.
3.0 Aroma is leaning more to the malt base and sweet caramels, there is hints of grapefruit in there but not overwhelming. The taste follows with the pilsener malts actually take point for a while before leaving it to the hops and the bitterness takes over and lead you to a quite long finish.
3.3 Bottle from a Copenhagen supermarket. Poured a clear medium amber with a thin white head. The aroma is nettle hop, light resin. The flavour is moderate bitter with a big hop bitter, citrus, light peppermint palate. Moderate to light bodied with average carbonation.
3.3 33cl bottle courtesy of and shared with JMGreenUK. Thin white head. Hoppy aroma. Clear golden pour. Some bitterness but not really an IPA. Just noticed the best before date, it’s only 2 weeks away. I should review a fresher version
