Nothing is like celebrating your own milestones. This is a celebration of our 500th batch of ale. It was brewed with joy and splendor; the brewer wore a suit, and a TV station filmed the event. As a base for this ale, we have elected to play with numbers: 5 hops, 100 IBUs, 10% alcohol by volume. Indeed it is an Imperial India Pale Ale. Big and bold. Great for a celebration!

At a tasting, small creamy bubbly head, cloudy deepish orange color, aroma of caranel, barnyard and orange marmalade, flavor of jam, orange marmalade and caramel, light sweetness, fruity sourness. Old, not good.
Flaske. Let uklar, brunlig/ravgylden, let skum. Aroma er sødlig malt, frugtig. Smagen er maltet, sød, let bitterhed. God fylde.
Smagt fra flaske til større smagning.
Brun med hvidt skum.
Aroma af karamelmalt, humle, citrus, dank.
Smager af sød malt med en brændende humlebitterhed. Udmærket old school IPA.
Ampolla 33cl. Color daurat, un xic tèrbola, amb escuma blanca. Aroma a fruites cítriques/tropicals. Molt bon gust a fruites cítriques/tropicals i equilibrat entre dolç i amarg. Amb cos. Molt bona!
Bottle at home; appropriately I got this for my birthday! Pours dark amber to copper with a small but quite persistent head. Aroma is full of pine, sweet malts, some caramel, and some herbal and earthy hops. Truly a spruce bomb, without going to far on the resiny side. Big body. Flavour is very sweet, but still pleasantly so. Sweet malts with quite a bit of caramel and some biscuity flavours. Medium to high bitterness which can balance the intense bitterness. Pine-centered hops with some floral and grassy notes. Finishes bittersweet, not too long. Beautiful imperial IPA from Nogne, as expected!
Flaska från vinmonopolet Oslo. Disigt orangegul med vitt skum. Dovt fruktig doft, söt och mustig smak.
Bottle 0,33cl. Pours hazy golden with white head. Aroma is massive bitter hops, hints of pineapple, apricot, citrus, stinging nettles. Taste is crazy bitter hops, apricot, a bit malty, fruity, lime. Thick mouthfeel.
Cloudy, dark brown colour, some sediment/flakes within, small, creamy, light tan head. Sweet caramel aroma,malts in the background, little hops. Rich, hoppy bitterness, somewhat syrupy flavour as well. Medium body, low medium carbonation, smooth mouthfeel.
Bouteille 33 cL, Saveur Bière, chez moi. Robe orange/ambrée, légèrement trouble et mousse blanche éphémère. Arômes subtils et floraux, houblons et agrumes. Forte amertume, texture crémeuse. Notes de résine, zestes d'orange, cannelle et malts. Fin sèche sur l'amertume.
Robe orangée, faible mousse. Nez sur le caramel, les fruits exotiques. En bouche, amertume, agrume et un sucre qui revient en fin de bouche.
33cl-fles van bij Bierhalle Deconinck te Vichte. U: Licht wazig oranje-amber met een witte schuimkraag. G: Karamel, hars, wat hoppig en alcohol. S: Zoet met wat hopbitterheid. Te veel alcohol, karamel en wat hars. Ook een beetje hopkarakter. M: Medium body en medium carbonatie.
The aroma weak - an apricot, vinegar, when heating vinegar leaves, fruit appear. Soft bitterness. Taste apricot, fruit, grass
Lukt: ananas, mango, barnål, alt!
Smak: barnål, ananas, fersken, aprikos, hint av tørka frukt, alkohol,
Kremete munnfølelse, medium karbonering.
Utrolig sødme og tropiske humlesmaker. Det tropiske treffer sterkt, med en base av barnål, og henger i munnen helt til du kan skjenne whisky.
En Imperial IPA som du vet er spesiell når du smaker den.

0.33l bottle shared in Damian during tasting. Clear golden color with medium white head. Aroma: bit oxidized hoppy, grapefruit, pomelo, candied orange. Taste: caramel, sweet, orange, tangerines. Too sweet with too much body for me. Not exactly my cup of tea.

100 IBU. Goudblond bier/ licht oranjekleurig bier met weinig wit schuim. Geur: fruitig, licht kruidig, wat perzik. Smaak: alcoholisch, wat zoet, hopbitter, harsachtig, dennen, wat honing. Medium koolzuurprikkel. Afdronk: bitter, harsachtig, alcoholisch. Een beest!
Servida en ampolla entre amics. A cada glop sensacions diferents, sempre agradables. Dolçor, amargor, picant, alcohol...genial!
Color naranja, turbio, con capa de espuma blanca de dos dedos de grosor y buena retención. Carbonatación suave. Textura entre oleosa y cremosa. Aroma a naranja, pomelo, toques ligeros de mango, malta caramelizada y resina. En boca hay grano, miel, malta caramelizada, naranja, pomelo, toques ligeros de pino y resina. No tan dulce como la recordaba. Final de amargor suave y resinoso. Postgusto a fruta, resina y grano. Alcohol bien integrado. No sé si me asemeja más a una American Strong Ale o un Barley Wine muy lupulado, no estoy del todo seguro. Embotellada hace 7 meses. Si no está pensada como American Strong Ale o Barley Wine no entiendo muy bien los cinco años de margen que da la botella. Esta cerveza en dos años tiene que ser miel pura. Interesante.

Bottle 33 CL. Amber, clear with a medium off white head. Lots of hops and some oak aroma. Medium bitter with a alc and hop end, a bit too much alc sense compared to flavor.
Good IPA imperial. I drunk it fresh and old (aged). Aged is sweeter, honey, hops, not so bitter. Is meady... Colour - browny-orange, sugary, with sugary notes. Little bit fruity. Raisins also... Aged version doesnt have such head as if you drink it fresh. In aged version - hops turn into mead. I like it. I wonder why people say - dont age it! Anyway - it is ale, why not? - it could have something different in taste and aroma... head and colour...
On tap at Craft Beer Coeln. Pours murky light brown with a little white head, not a very pleasant outlook. The aroma features mostly strong hoppiness - pine, citrus fruits and resin - with a touch of sweetish maltiness. Intense. Taste is heavily, brutally bitter with also some initial sweetness. Flavours of caramel, pine and fudge. The palate is full-bodied and smooth. Warming alcohol. Rich, complex and intense - classic Nögne.

Body is full, texture oily, carbonation is medium. Alcohol is perfectly hidden, but 10% knocks you...
Jestem pod ogromnym wrazeniem. Niesamowity zapach. pelno cytrusow, pachnie jak sok ze swiezo wyciskanych grejfrutow, pomaranczy, pomelo, kazdego koloru. Smak totalnie ciezki, moc tych ze wlasnie cytrusow, oliwa z oliwek, grzyby kurki, maslo. Niesamowicie tlustawe i oleisto-zywiczne jest to piwo z atakujacymi chmielami z kazdej strony. Ciezkie jest niestety tak ciezkie jak ciezarowka zaladowana imigrantami Syryjskimi. Alkohol spory choc nie wyczuwalny to nieco uderza po glowie. Doskonale esencjonalne i tresciwe piwo. Jedyny drobny minusik to mala piana. Ale za to osadu tyle co piachu w piaskownicy. 100 IBU doskonale tu lagodzi az 5 rodzajow slodow. Doskonale zroznicowane, niemal ideal stylu jak dla mnie.
Draught at Marktzicht, Amersfoort. Hazy dark orange with a small white head. Full body with low to moderate carbonation. Quite bitter with subtle fruity sweetness. Pine, tropical fruits, malts, caramel and spices. Tasty!
Pine and malt aroma in a dirty orange brown pour. Hoppy balance is covered by a big toffeee caramel malt body which is sustained through the finish. Surprisingly easy to down - dangerously so. Probably better described as a TIPA though...
