3.8 Flaske 0.5L på Bark Spiseri og Bar i Harstad. Farge mørk brun med lys beige skum. Lukt mørk sjokolade,  karamell. Smak malt, mørk sjokolade, karamell. En mild og fin brown ale.
4.0 I'd say while not a favourite, not too far off. A solid brown ale with excellent malty flavours. From the bottle in Norwegian hotel bar. Probably should have had it before the pale ale as the hops in that tended to overpower. A good beer.
3.4 0.5l bottle. Large tan/off-white head. Plenty of lacing. Dark brown nearly black.
2.6 Bottle. Dark brown colour, small head. Aroma is chocolate, some malt and some roasted malt. Taste is dominated by chocolate, like a cheap chocolate pudding almost (weird for a beer I think), some malt and some licorice. Not impessed.
3.9 Again the smoke came sneaking but not as dominating. Good taste and good looks
3.9 50 cl, bottle conditioned. Lovely dark red-brown colour, Ruby in front of a light bulb, low visible carbonation. Restrained aroma of coffee and dark chocolate, sweet and roasted at the same time. Mouthfeel is dry and well carbonated, some hop bitterness. Flavours of roasted malts, dark chocolate, coffee and caramel. Long aftertaste. Great craft beer that has been around for quite some time now.
3.2 Bottle @ home. From the brewery. While being a gusher this is still a really nice brown ale with a delicate but quite intense milk chocolate aroma and taste. Flavors also include nuts, bread, coffee, fruits. Quite alot of coffee in the aroma too. Mouth feel is dry, with a bit of brown ale soapiness, slightly acidic by roasted malts. Balanced bitterness.
2.6 Bread, chocolate, coffee, nuts, roasty, smoke The taste of coffee is there but just a little bit.
4.0 Draft at Stone's (Helsinki, Finland). Intensive sweet chocolate aroma. Tastes first to sweet chocolate with hints of roasty notes. Clean bitterness. Palate is really smooth.
3.1 Dark grown color. LIghter carbonation. Wonderful aromas of coffee and chocolate, nuts. Taste was not as remarkable. Low sweetness. Coffee-like malt flavor, so much that I thought it might have had coffee added. Little bit of bitterness from British-like hops and acidity. Like most browns, it seemed to have a hole in the palate. Probably my least favorite beer style, but this one was well made.
3.5 Reddish brown on colour with a large off-white head with a very appealing aroma of caramel, malt, bread, nuts and chocolate. Some smoky flavours dominate the aroma with the nuttiness being a close second. Roasted malt, chocolate, coffee and nut in the flavour with some smoke and bitterness in the after-taste. Low in carbonation and a light body, the crystal hops just add the needed subtle hops bitterness that is needed to balance out all the sweetness of the malt.
3.3 Draught @ Køge beer festival. Appearance: pours slightly cloudy red-brown with ok beige soapy head and lacing. aroma/taste: caramel, roasted/burnt malt, coffee hints and some pine+floral hints. palette medium roasted malty+ hoppy aroma, average carbonation, medium body, average sweetness, balanced by an average to distinct bitterness, medium duration and an oily texture. Overall: nice roasted and hoppy brown ale

3.4 Bottle at Charles & De in Sandnes 18.04.15. Golden copper. Beige head. Moderate aroma with some roasted nuts, dried berries and dark malt. Semi-dark malt, dried berried, dark syrup in taste. Good drinkability.
3.5 From tap at Tap 10, Copenhagen. Dark brown colour with an off-white head. Aroma and flavour of roasted malt, caramel, hops and chocolate.
3.1 Bottle from Coop, Trysil. Pours dirty brown with faint tints of red. The aroma is not pleasant, vague smells of mensroom. In spite of the aroma, I carry on. The taste is lucklily different and better, roasted malts, bitter notes, chocolate. There’s nor much sweetness though, making it quite a rustic brown ale. The low alcohol pulls down the average even more.
3.6 Brownish red, clear with nice yellow head. Hint of malty smoke in the aroma. Sweet, burned sugar malt with burned sugar aftertaste. A nice one.
3.7 50 cl bottle from Rimi supermarket. Pours dark ruby/brownish with a small creamy beige head. Malty coffee caramel aromas. Smooth and good beverage from Nøgne Ø (as always...)
3.0 Dark brown with tan head. aroma is coffee, caramel, nuts, soy sauce and chocolate. Round palate. Aftertaste is floral, biscuits, caramel and dark chocolate. Overall: Nice! Decent.
3.1 Draught. Foaming like hell, dark brown-amber, somewhat cloudy. Strong raisin notes when too cold, some herbal notes. Syrupy, toasted bread is more obvious when warmer. Dried fruit notes, as long as sweet herbal hops. Dryish malt flavor, grains, sweetish chocolate, somewhat herbal hop aftertaste. Medium body, frothy texture.
3.9 How: Bottle Appearance: Dark brown, medium tan head. Aroma:coffe, nuts, caramel. Palate: Medium body, smooth carbonation.

3.4 0,5l bottle. Dark, brown, with hints of licorice and raisins. Pretty standard xmas brew, albeit not labelled as such, but preferable to the typical dunkel or amber and dark lagers.

4.1 Location/Date:Bottle on 11/10/2014 split with Dave and courtesy of Dave. Appearance: Pours a murky brown. Aroma: Aroma of toffee. Taste: Light bitterness, lightly toffee/nutty. Palate:Light medium body, light aftertaste. Summary: First off, thanks Dave. This beer is really exceptional. At 4.5, it has all the flavor of other Brown ales.
